Oct 2024 the Mercedes dealership told me that my cylinder head covers needed to be repaired due to a serious oil leak on my 2013 ML350. I wanted to have it done but the dealership quoted a price way over $3K. Several years ago a friend mentioned how much they liked Ellio's, I decided to give them a call. I am pleased that I did. Mary was extremely helpful, got my car scheduled and the work was completed at a more reasonable price. They even washed my car. Thank you Ellio's, for great customer service. I will be returning for future service.

My first visit... Emma went through the items on the A service and and my concerns. She called later and reported on what the techs found that needed to be taken care of. Picked up the car later and scheduled a followup appointment. It went smoothly and I was quite pleased.

Oil Change service and suspension work. They did a fabulous job. Emma is very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. Her brother is also a great mechanic. Would definitely recommend. They are candid and fair…… qualities that you definitely look for. Thanks very much. If you get the opportunity to meet Emma’s mother, go for it…..she is charming and engaging.

Got referred to this shop thinking it would be what it looked to be. Brought in my vehicle for multiple reasons, paid the engine diagnostic fee(180$), they found one of my coil packs were defective so I replaced all of them(~200$)..that fixed one of my issues that just recently came up and not the issue I’ve had for quite some time(misfires) I told them that using my OBD I was able to see misfires under the live data as I was driving. They didn’t even road test the car with the scanner to test if there were misfires. They just advised me to replace the coil packs and now want to compare the scan data like it’s my scanner that’s defective, and not something they didn’t do to diagnose it further. They can do much better. Plus it always seemed like a hassle getting scheduled…Always was at least a week out, especially for something so minor. Now I’ve spent $ and I still have misfires/bogging I have to deal with. They always ask if the problem is urgent or not..like of course it’s urgent, I wouldn’t be calling otherwise.Not really my greatest experience with car shops.

Before we came into the shop the only problem I had was with my alternator. They fixed that and now I have issues with my windows not rolling down. And my headlights staying on.

The absolute best! Went to other German auto technicians and they have always tried to get over on me not even knowing that my dad was a mechanic and has been in this business my entire life. Every time I go to Ellios they treat me with respect, and when they work on my car I never have an issue with it again. Because of them my Benz is in top shape and rides so smoothly.

Arrived to Sacramento from Chicago and my 2013 Volkswagen GTI decided to start stalling when making turns. I took it to the VW dealer in Elk Grove (since I typically took my car to the dealership in Chicago for repairs) and they wanted to charge an outrageous amount of money to fix. Not only did they want to charge me an outrageous amount of money, the fee to diagnose the issue was ridiculous (which I paid) and the service attendant was rude and condescending. Needless to say, they lost my business and so I began to conducted some online research. Came across Ellio's which had great reviews and after speaking to them decided to have my car repaired. They took time to make sure the work was done properly as it was an extensive job (cam shaft filter was replaced along with timing belt). After several months the car is still running great and back to normal! They were able to not only fix what was causing the problem, I had them repair some other lingering issues I wanted to address (replaced all 4 brakes and rotors, front end work, and general maintenance) all for a VERY reasonable price. I'm glad I found a auto mechanic shop I can trust and bring my car to get work done at a reasonable price with great, reliable service. I won't be visiting the VW dealership anytime soon, and will be bringing all my cars to Ellio's

Ellio's has been my go-to dealer and service shop for my past three Mercedes. In fact, I bought the last two from them. Could not imagine having anyone else do the service/repairs. I trust them implicitly to do what is needed, without pushing extra services on me (which used to happen with other dealers). The Ellio's family are all knowledgeable, caring, honest, and wonderful to deal with. Cannot say enough positive about this dealership.

Had a service done on an older car than they normally take but were kind enough to have a look at my 2000 s430. Very knowledgable and nice staff and reasonable prices on all the work. Will for sure be taking it back soon for some services and repairs!

I have taken my Audi and my Mercedes here for the past couple years and I couldn’t be happier with their services. I’ve always had vehicles that needed repairs, and it seemed like no matter what shop I went to, I always had problems. Engine Fans being disconnected; radiators being damaged; or turbos suddenly no longer working. I have NEVER had that issue at Ellio’s. They have always gone above and beyond for me, kept their word on their estimates, and diagnosed my issues with 100% certainty.

I needed a shop to do some diagnostics on our 2009 Mini, and ended up at Ellios -- and glad I did. I was impressed with their fenced yard and and the shop appeared to be incredibly clean. They explained they'd be in touch the next day, and they were. The news wasn't great, but I was prepared for that. I can't claim to be a mechanic, but have some pretty strong mechanical background, and my overall impression is that they have great integrity and are very good at what they do. Our family has a couple BMWs, and we are definitely planning to work with them for service in the future. In this world of newer technology, I believe their expertise is well worth what you pay!!

I was traveling from 3 states away to Sacramento and hit a road hazard in my Mercedes ML. Elios took my car in, unscheduled, and repaired the damage plus a few more repairs. I felt they were very conscientious and got me safely back home.

To all luxury car owners: please don’t choose this Ellio’s German Auto shop to take of you luxury cars. 1. This shop will rib you off with prices very ridiculous. 2. They always lied to every owner about the parts. They always use the non quality parts and charge very high price (and told its because of the parts are original from dealer) liar and alway lying. 3. The quality of work is none.

Took my vehicle in for a diagnosis, and unfortunately, they found that my motor was on the verge of seizing. The repair costs turned out to be nearly equal to the value of my vehicle, so I decided to pay the diagnosis fee and retrieve my car. I had AAA come to pick up the car and tow it back home. However, there was an issue with the tow truck being too big to fit into their parking lot, which meant the vehicle had to be manually pushed from the back of the lot. Emma, who handled the invoice, made it clear not to start the car. During the loading process, one of the technicians disregarded the instruction and tried to start the car. I intervened and reminded him that it was not supposed to be started and that it needed to be pushed instead. Unfortunately, he responded rudely, saying, "Well, you need to get to pushing it then, and the damage is already done." Eventually, he called his fellow technicians to manually push the car out. Overall, the interaction was quite unpleasant, mainly due to the technician's attitude and disregard for the given instructions.

I called them up to see if they can work on electrical diagnosis, the girl told me she has to talk to their technician and will call me in 5 minutes. I never heard from them so I took my car to Stuttgart Motors. Can't tell how good this place is but if they don't return customer's call they can't be that good.

I can't believe I haven't written them a review before. Ellio's has been helping me keep my aging 7 series on the road for years now. They are super honest, and have always told me what HAS to be fixed, and what is optional, so that I can make informed decisions. Their prices are reasonable, by BMW standards, and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Sent a close friend to them and he was so grateful I referred him to them! Great people. Never had a bad experience there.

I took my 2015 CLS550 for scheduled service that included an oil change. During the inspection of the vehicle they discovered oil leaking in front of the engine block. Further follow up revealed that the upper timing covers were leaking. Part of owning a nice car is keeping up on the maintenance and not prolonging repairs when they are needed before they turn into bigger problems. Victor was very easy to work with when it came to explaining the reasons why the repairs were needed and the consequences for not doing the repairs in a timely manner. Ellio's is a reliable and trustworthy shop that specializes in European cars and they are my go to place for my BMW and Mercedes. Thank you!

It took me a while to rate this shop, it is simply amazing. I had to change oil pump o ring on my w164. They did a great job with a reasonable price. The only think made me unhappy was when I asked him to see why the windows is not working. He said I had to make an appointment and then they will check. I dont think this a professional answer. They could simply tell me why it needed an appointment. It could be just a fuse. Anyways, this will not change my rating and it will not undermine how good I feel driving the car 🙂

This was my first time going to Ellios and they did an amazing job. Very detailed oriented and told me the things that I need to get done, as well as pointed out items to keep an eye on. They also worked extremely well with my maxcare warranty and were able to help me get items covered. Highly recommend.
