Absolutely amazing shop for multiple reasons. Not only does Ernie Sr and Ernie Jr take the time to listen to your concerns and explain everything to you they do not push any unnecessary work. They are an honest, local, family owned business. Their pricing is absolutely affordable and the quality of their work is supberb. We have had numerous things completed by them and several other items in the works as well. I have been going to then for years for 3 different Volkswagens, and their alignment guy is top tier. The roads (and transmountain) tear up German vehicle tires, but their alignment guy is god-like in getting it perfect to minimize the tire eating. I cannot recommend them enough just based on this fact.

Ernie did a great job taking his time and paying attention to small details on the job (which what I was hoping instead of my car look like some cheap bad DIY edition). I had exhaust tip I wanted to put on and he had to custom fabricate/weld it due to different pipe sizes. So he had to focus not only good welding, all the placement and angles to make it look right. I had great experience with my previous Camaro and glad I took it to him again. Planning to take my other daily for engine repair work this time.

Took my car in for brake service, they charged me $800 and did a terrible job. Definitely don't recommend anyone go there. They have amateurs working there. Don't trust these thieves.

I just moved to El Paso, and was dreading finding an honest mechanic in a new city and state. I asked around, and several people recommended Ernie's. I took my Jeep in and explained the problem. I got a call back a couple hours later with a very fair price and what needed to be done. I gave the go ahead and a couple hours after that it was done. They were fast and professional, and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place.

Ernie is really good at his craft. I wished he would’ve just placed an exhaust tip similar to the one he had to fix. I used him since he was so close to my hotel and really good price for the work. Down fall was they were unable to align it or to even check it for the duration they had my truck. I took my truck around 810a and picked it up around 1220. But it’s ok, I would use him again if I had more time in El Paso but I had to return to Phoenix. I appreciate you fixing it to where I at least it got me home. I did have to get an exhaust tip here in Phoenix, but Ernie’s Appeared to be family ran and owned place which is great to support a local business. Thank you.

These guys are the real deal as far as speed, friendliness, care and professionalism with the eye for detail. They took on my 30ft RV and welded my Catalytic converter with O2 sensor with little to no notice. They explained the problem and complications in detail and got me back on the road with quality work at a VERY reasonable price! If you are looking to upgrade your brakes, muffler or suspension, look no where else. These guys are for real and they stand by their work too.

Drove up early and was taken care as a walk in, they got an x pipe and mid muffler delete right away as well as good suspension work. Decent price. i would recommend this shop.

I started going to Ernie's back in 2020 when I commissioned him to fabricate a full 2.5" turbo back exhaust for my wife's Volvo 740. The exhaust not only sounded amazing but withstood the abuse of being on track, no cracks, no exhaust leaks and no rusting. Since then I have recommended all my friends when they need exhaust work done. He has made full exhausts for my friends' Nissan 370Z, BMW Z3, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Ford EcoBoost, and was able to install a cat back exhaust on my wife's new car a Subaru WRX. If you need a quality exhaust system that will last but not break the bank, I 100% recommend Ernie's Muffler and Brakes.

Do not hesitate to bring your business to ERNIE's! KNOWLEDGEABLE and HONEST! Much more than a muffler and brake shop! EXPERTS - If you have car trouble or a light on, then Ernie-father or son will tell you what's wrong and give you the most fair price. We've found a mechanic who we can TRUST! I went in for an alternator, and they fixed that beautifully. It was only after I asked them to check a sound that I was told about the additional work that my car needed. Twice they have rescued me once with the jumper machine and the second time when I rolled over metal! This makes them like the family mechanics that I thought had disappeared. I refer my friends and coworkers to Ernie's!
