So far, I cannot say enough great things about this place and the staff/ownership. I was on Reddit looking for recommendations for a trustworthy place to take my car and saw several people mentioning and seconding Expert Automotive and decided to make the trip after coming across multiple shady places in the area that I did not feel comfortable leaving my car at. Came in today (a Friday) with a weird noise coming from under my hood and was told to come in for a diagnosis. They very quickly identified the problem and gave me a quote. As it stands, my car is not okay to drive and has been left with them to repair. They got me in on a pretty last minute request and have already begun working to resolve the issue, and I will be coming back Monday for my car as they are closed over the weekend. Every last person in that building has been SO compassionate, communicative, and helpful I cannot express my gratitude enough. I’ve been updated on the progress of the vehicle since leaving and feel very confident about the care I’ve left it in. I will update my review later with what I’m sure will be even more positive feedback.

The team at expert automotive is top-notch. I don’t live in the Jacksonville area. I was driving from Orlando back home to North Carolina when my car broke down. Turns out, I blew a head gasket and pretty much needed my engine replaced. The guys at Expert Auto found me an engine, had it put in, and got my vehicle up and running. I left the car there for a month, but it was in good hands. When I returned back to the area it was good as new. I really want to send a special thanks to Hank and to Ken. Hank walked me through the whole process and kept me informed the whole time. Ken did the work on my vehicle and kept me informed as well. The shop is top-notch and I definitely would recommend them especially if you live in that area. I consider that a pretty hefty job and they took care of quickly.

Expert Automotive was fast and efficient. Stopped in to get a oil change was there for about an hour. Was able to call and come in the same day which was very conevnient. Hank, Ken, Ryan, were all awesome and friendly dudes. I highly recommend this place for a quick and easy experience

I am a lady and since I paid off my vehicle and the warranty ended I feared finding a reputable company to service it. I purchased a warranty with Endurance and they recommended another shop, that gave me a much larger cost, than the warranty company, and the company was going to honor their estimate, but I took my vehicle to other shops and the warranty company had the greater responsibility and they denied the estimates given so I was really overwhelmed. I was referred to Expert Automotive by a mobile mechanic I trust and they were on Beach Blvd then. And they diagnosed my Yukon Denali 07 and Ken sent the estimate to the warranty company and again they denied it. Ken told me what was the most important thing that needed to be done that was not covered under warranty, and did a great job. I had not went back in a couple of years because I was going through a lot, and when I went back they were gone and my heart dropped! I went next door to G&H Automotive and asked them and they told me they moved to St. John's Bluff, I was extremely happy and when I saw Ken, he had a new look, and the same heart. The new place said they were doing great, much bigger, and Ken had 2 new guys, Hank and Ryan and Hank is my guy, and he worked really hard for me. And if I am being honest, I am a hand full and still they were there for me, and I appreciate the quality service their mechanics give and the customer service for sure; and I would like to say, if you have not given them 5 stars it is on you because Ken cares and Hank too and I can be frustrating and they were still there for me, so if you did not see them as a 5 star shop you probably did not allow these guys to do what they do, and that is to be there for you, even when it isn't always the easiest, and not trying to do what doesn't need to be done. This is my shop, and I am so glad they are servicing my vehicle 💯 and their 36 months 36,000 miles is just the icing on the cake. I highly recommend Expert Automotive and Ken and Hank thanks for being there for me, I truly appreciate you❤️

I had a great experience at Expert Auto! I had a last minute need to get front brakes changed in a quick like fashion, and was in and out with in 2 1/2 hours without an appointment. I paid almost exactly what I was quoted for and they did exactly what I asked them for and nothing further than that. If it was extra they asked me first and quoted it before doing any extra work. The price was a little higher than I really would’ve wanted to pay if it wasn’t super last minute, however I had a great experience with Ryan and I felt that they took very good care of my vehicle. I would definitely trust them with my vehicle again after having a very bad experience with a different auto shop out in Yulee.

The worst aliment ever and they strip one of my suspension bar and wanted me to pay for it at the end of the day I ended up out of $141 with the car broken with no aliment and now I have to buy the part with is 177

These guys are so amazing at taking care of cars AND their customers. It's so hard to find a good shop now a days that you can really trust. They are very detailed in their pricing before you even okay work. They know we're all going through it out here and are good about helping you prioritize what needs to be done now and what can wait a little longer.

I've been looking for a reputable shop in the Jacksonville area for 4 years now. This is a new facility so I thought I'd give them a try. I asked Expert Automotive to help me with an issue. The transmission temps my vehicle runs while pulling my camper is too high. 210-220 degrees. I asked this company to install a manually activated fan in front of the trans cooler to help with air flow and lower temps. Ken agreed to do the work however I could sense he did not want to. When I took my vehicle to the shop, I asked the desk help why does it seem like Ken doesn't want to do the job? The response I got shocked me. With attitude, the response I got was, I'm doing something that doesn't need to be done, automotive engineers know what they're doing and what I want isn't necessary. Fact, adding auxiliary transmission cooling to vehicles to lower transmission temps due to towing has been an option for as long as vehicles have been built. Long way to say, I didn't let this company touch my vehicle because their attitude toward me was not good. I can't let a business do work for me when they obviously think I'm stupid. For the record, I work for FPL in the Nuclear division in maintenance.

Extremely communicative and helpful about what was the issue with my vehicle. Upfront with diagnostic fee (not towards repair), but that gave me a very detailed report on things I should look out for. Came in for complimentary inspection when I was concerned about an issue after taking it in, and were very helpful and timely. Will be going back to this shop for any further work I need. Reasonable prices compared to other quotes I had received.

I took my truck in for a whining nose, they misrepresented the price, then took my truck back and did a full a inspection on it. They stated they were going to work up a qoute for it. Emailed the invoice that stated I declined the repairs, which was not true. They never did the qoute like state. It appears as they are poor historians and make stuff up as they go long!

I’ve use them numerous times for my truck and SUV. I’ve always appreciated their concern with my vehicles. Their service is always great and they are fair in their pricing. If something goes wrong, they ALWAYS make it right. Also, free towing is a major plus. Not only do I use them, but I’ve also sent 4 of my friends and neighbors to them and now they recommend them, too.

My son has taken his car to them for 3 years now and they do a great job! I feel like we can trust them (which is huge for automotive) they wont try to upsell or replace something that isn't necessary. Super friendly owner's and staff! They offer a lifetime guarantee on labor, if a part goes bad that they replaced they only charge for the part replacement! Prices are reasonable.

This is one of the best places to get your car repaired. The Owner (Ken) is a Navy Veteran and is dedicated to superb work. He is a nice guy. His wife is a sweetheart and both are outgoing to ensure they create customers for life. Def made one out of me. This place is now my go to place for vehicle repair. I own a 15 Yukon and I have been having issues with the check engine light. I took the vehicle to 2 Dealers with unsatisfactory results. My issue was, I kept having an issue with the check engine light. I took the vehicle to one dealer and they said it was a spark plug issue, even though I had just changed the spark plugs. I agreed to let them change the plug, two days later, the check engine light came back on, with the same codes. Frustrated, I took the vehicle to another Dealer. The second dealer said it was a fuel injector, they replaced the fuel injector, 2 days later the light was back on same codes. When I talked to the Service Advisor, I asked him if it could have anything to do with the TSB ( Technical Service Bulletin), which the the lifters are known for throwing the same codes. I was told no it was another fuel injector and I should watch how I drive. I had told him that its a V8 and when I merge in traffic, I need it to get up to speed. Needless to say, it didn't fix the issue, and the light came on again, so I took it to Expert Auto. I took the SUV in, with the paperwork showing everything that I had done and told them that its not fixing the issue, and I think that it may have something to do with the TSB. Ken told me he would take care of it and check out what was going on. He actually listened to my concerns. After having the vehicle and diagnosing Expert Auto was able to determine not only were the lifters not working (this was part of the Service Bulletin that I had asked the Dealer about) but the cylinder was oblong so the piston was not creating the combustion, it needed. They worked tirelessly with my Extended Warranty and got my engine covered under warranty and finally got the issue corrected and verified it was fixed, by test driving the same way that I told them issue would happen. If you want to be listened to and not only your concerns to be listened to but diagnose the vehicle correctly. I highly recommend them.
