Most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with somebody.set a time he missed that time. I called him. He said another time two hours went by. Nothing tried to call him again. Didn’t even answer the phone. The only reason he has one star for me is because I couldn’t choose zero.

Really great service at an affordable price. We were in a pinch, my teenage son put diesel gas in by accident. Stevie saved the day for us and saved us a ton of money. Thanks we will be back.

He was hired to put a c compressor in my vehicle Kept having to leave for little tool things during process Supposedly then After installing it The car wouldn't turn on lights everthing on dash off steven Tried saying is your battery dead Even when the car turned on normal before him touching it anything so Just to make sure tried jumping it and I took it to o'reilly's for a charge was Clarified still good condition He was supposed to come back at 6 pm to relook over it never Responded to text or calls I give him half of Labor fee 150 thankfully but still stuck Without a car turning on at all with a child and in 120 heat Plus Didnt even Put the freon Evacuate recharge system seriously shame on him as person leaving a single mother without a car period Not even properly finished stuck at that !!

I live in Phoenix, AZ. My car AC needed to be fixed desperately, Stephen came out was very nice, informative. Seemed knowledgeable and capable to repair my issue (which is air conditioning in the summer in Arizona) I paid $100 for him to take a look at my car , $220 for the part we needed and an additional $120 for gas to go and pick up the part from Tucson. he said he would arrive early Saturday morning to fix my car before work but it is now, Monday and I have received no response via text or call. Number says it’s disconnected now actually. So just to recap There is still no AC in my car and it’s 100 degrees! It’s really upsetting to spend time with someone, pay them hundreds of dollars for for parts / gas (shame on me) and then they ghost you. BEWARE !!!!!!!

After making quite an effort to find the right mechanic - so many of them are franchises that don’t respond to phone calls - I finally found Steve’s mobile mechanic. I hired Steve to do a pre-purchase inspection at the dealership for a 3:30 in the afternoon appointment. He requested that I pay in advance because so many people flake out on him and although I was hesitant to pay in advance of the services being rendered I went ahead and did it anyway. Needless to say, he did not show up for the pre-purchase inspection appointment that I paid for. I can’t say if his skills are good or bad since I never got to see him in action. When I arrived at the 330 appointment time and he wasn’t there I sent him a text as well as a phone call -no answers. After 20 minutes of trying to get in touch with him he finally responded with the info he had been in an accident and would not be able to attend and would be refunding my money. I told him it would’ve been nice to have known that earlier in the day so I could’ve made arrangements for another mechanic but he had no response to that. I just don’t understand how businesses today can function when they act like this. I understand things happen in life but his best route of action would’ve been to contact me as soon as he knew he couldn’t make it. It was a very disappointing experience. Once again, I guess you can’t trust people and I was a fool to pay in advance. I didn’t hear from him regarding the refund so I contacted my bank to place a claim on the hundred dollars that I paid so I can get my money back. Buyer beware.

This guy was my friend from high school. I trusted him. Paid him in advance. 1200 dollars. He took my vehicle apart and never came back to finish the job. He gave me his professional advise and got me stuck with this vehicle that I bought (a lemon). I trusted him and not only did I lose my opportunity to get my money back for the vehicle but I lost more money for trusting him. I could have had a good vehicle rn if I didn’t trust him in his profession. He has brought MORE stress and issues to my families lives and now we don’t even have a vehicle! Thanks you stupid punk!!

Was very knowledgeable on repairing my AC compressor. Tho a long and tedious fix he was able to make quick work of the situation and have the car sounding brand new again I was very pleased.

I came in from out of town. Not knowing that my car was gonna break down but it. Did didn't know where to go for help. Seeing this ad on craiglist "famous Blakely's mobile mechanic" decide to Give it a try came out, give me a quote price was great. Everybody wants to do high prices. He was reasonable. I needed a starter for my car. Everybody else told me. I had to go get my car told to them. Famous came straight to me. Said he can do it right here in the driveway, he came and got straight to work.. It took about an hour and a 1/2. Maybe two, but the job was solid.. He showed me that my old one was defected and he showed me. The new one was right and what it should be doing. All I can say is he did what he said he was going to do He's a good Person Good conversation down-to-earth. You want your car fixed the right way for a good price. Hit him up look for famous.

I contacted the mechanic just needing him to change my car battery. I had let him know that I just needed my car battery changed and ended up sending someone downstairs as I had just gave birth to my newborn baby who was a premie. That same night my car was finally able to turn on but my dashboard, headlights, blinder lights, break lights, window buttons, even the heater/ac we’re NOT turning on. I explained what happened to him and asked if he could come back and check the battery, I was hoping maybe it just wasn’t connected correctly. He did not answer me, so I texted him again letting him know that if he was unable to check the battery then that I would like a refund. His response was “Bro, I installed the battery correctly. You’ve been started it when I got done”. The next day I was forced to take my car to a mechanic because again my break lights weren’t even turning on! I was there outside while it rained (light rain, but still) just one week after giving birth! Not only was I out there for two hours, but I was then recommended to take it to an electrician. I THEN took it to a car electrician and he was able to get it fixed after checking the batter. Not only did I spend time but also spent money all because the battery was wrongly placed. Would not recommend smh.

he came out on short notice and helped me with my ball jojnt. It took him awhile because of complications but he still charged me the original flat rate. Honest guy knows his stuff I will be working with him from now on! Would recommend!

Had Steven come out and fix the Axle shaft bearing and seal and do some break work on my 2022 Silverado 1500. He did an amazing job went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. Shop quoted me an arm and a leg and he did a perfect job for half the price, anything less than a 5 star review is undeserved. Will definitely be a repeat customer and highly recommended his services if you need them and want quality service.

He came of as a nice guy very helpful willing to get the job done as soon as possible so just out of good faith and desperation I paid him in advanced to fix my car because I needed it fixed ASAP. I ordered the part he needed and let him know when it arrived he came and nothing was fixed he then said he needs to get his computer to runs diagnostics on my car and that he would come back. Well he never returned instead sent me a text stating it’s actually something else and another part is needed. so immediately I ordered a new part and let him know it would be arriving that same day followed with asking if he was still going to come back and do the diagnostic or if all that will be done another day. And at that point I was ignored mind you this is like 2pm so I follow up with another text around 5pm and still nothing Figured maybe he got busy so I waited the next day I called a few times during the day left text messages trying to schedule a time and still nothing now on to day three I tried calling and my call was instantly forwarded so I get the hint my car won’t be fixed and at this point I can’t help but assume I was scammed. Times are hard as is at to take advantage of people and their money is truly disheartening

I called for what I thought was just a battery swap. Steven answered and was prompt to get on the job. He communicated very effectively. And when he showed up it turned out it was not a battery problem. And was able to diagnose it on the spot and solve the issue. Very thankful for having a good experience trying out a new mechanic

I just had a very similar experience to everybody else who is leaving a 1 star review. . . Sounds like this guy does good work if he actually shows up, but you are taking a big risk on that. . . He'll tell you he can do the job and give you an ETA that comes and goes without him showing up, and then stop answering his phone/texts for hours at a time. . . Give you another ETA when you finally get him to answer again, then not show up at that time, then not answer texts or calls again. . . The last time we spoke, he just said he wasn't going to be able to do the job. . . When I called him out on his business practices, he just said that it is what it is and I should just call somebody else. . . BUYER BEWARE! RESPONSE TO STEVE'S REPLY: I understand things happen, but your description of our interaction isn't accurate. The first time we spoke in the morning you said you had 1 small job to get to and gave me a time of 2-3 pm so that you could "give yourself plenty of time". When I hadn't heard from you by about 2:30 I called and texted a couple times to find out if you were still going to do the work. When you did finally answer (about 3:30), you said that the rack and pinion you were working on was taking a lot longer than you thought, but that you would finish in about 45 min and then come do my job. You assured me that my car would still be repaired that day. Just to give yourself a little extra time, you said you would make it by 6pm. Again, 6pm came and went, without any communication from you. Again, I called and texted to see what was going to happen. When you finally answered that evening (after 7pm) you told me that the customer had asked you to do motor mounts and ??? in addition to what you had initially agreed to do. You told me that you would not be able to repair my car that day, but that you could do it the following morning. That's when I began to point out some of the basic issues with your lack of communication and professionalism. You began to talk over me, and I raised my voice so you would hear what I was saying. You told me "it is what it is" and that I should just call somebody else. Here are a few suggestions: 1) Be proactive. When you have already made a commitment to a customer but need to ask them to reschedule- be the first one to communicate. Text them 30 min before the scheduled time and let them know that you are running behind and ask if they are flexible. Be realistic. Not everybody can just reschedule for the next day. You knew from our conversations that I had taken the day off of work to get my car repaired. 2) Use suggestion 1 very sparingly. Learn to schedule your time appropriately. It's obvious from the reviews that you miss appointments fairly regularly. 3) When a customer asks for additional work, let them know that you have other scheduled customers who deserve the respect of their expectations being met as well, but you would be happy to return another day. Whether it's additional work with the same customer, or trying to squeeze in additional jobs because they are closer, easier, or whatever, it will always be more productive in the future to keep previously scheduled commitments. You'll find that you will be far more efficient and productive with satisfied, loyal, returning customers who are willing to work with your schedule, as opposed to constantly trolling for new customers on Craigslist. If an auto mechanic is 1) honest 2) able to communicate w clients in a professional manner 3) able to accurately diagnose (or can call somebody to find the answer) and fix cars They can basically write their own paycheck. It's that simple.

One of the only honest mechanics left in Phoenix, also you have to realize sometimes he’s doing a job that takes longer then he thought originally and he leaves his phone in his car and he’s unable to text you. That doesn’t mean he intentionally flaked on you, mechanics get super busy sometimes and it’s not personal! We’re all human we make mistakes.
