Highly recommend. Was visiting from out of town and required an emergency check of my braking system, and the crew at Family Auto were kind and handled it within 15 minutes of me calling. Rolled my car right in the shop and explained exactly what was needed.

They Gave me a price 2 days before memorial day of $200 to cut and replace heat shield came back after the holiday and told me it was $400.$200 for each one ha so much for honesty. I went to another shop a few blocks down where I usually go. They gave me a price quote for both of 175.00 bucks. They suggested that I replace the entire y-pipe it was in bad shape I ask for a price on the whole Y- pipe 275 dollars plus 125 dollars in labor. The y-pipe that they installed was top-of-the-line Walker actually better than the factory. Now you tell me who's honest. And I got a free car wash 😀.

This place is the most honest and trustworthy auto shop. They are also very friendly. They have helped me fix many issues with my car and I plan to continue going back to them with my next car issue. Highly recommend!

This Place is a RIP OFF if you can possibly go ANYWHERE else GO. The customer service is HORRIBLE they over charge you for their service and they make you come back several times because they did not do what you requested correct the first time. They tell you prices over the phone and then when you get there it is a different thing. Please go somewhere else where you can get it fixed one time and your car is good and for a great prices because this place is not it. It will have you waiting all day also for your car when just needing a simple service.

A friend of mine's referred me to this mechanic thinking I would get a good deal or at least an honest one I sent my employee there which was a woman with much confidence thinking these guys would help instead they told her she would have to spend $400 for a simple radiator fix which I thought was very expensive she then went to the Bronx with the broken radiator to a different mechanic who only charged her $140 on a simple hose leak, these guys did not even look at the car and just assumed it would cost 400 and try to take advantage of this woman, beware of these guys as they are scam artists and will take your money and lie to you about your car

My boss referred me there from his friend and once I got there it felt uncomfortable the place is one way street, so no way to park and they check the car with multiple guys coming out and no where to really check the car. I knew I was having a small leak of my coolant and one of the guys never really checked under the hood Thoroughly. They NEVER did any diagnostic test to figure out the real problem for the leak. When it got there they couldnt really show me where but they just assume it was my radiator with the problem. I felt desperately to get it fixed, and they could tell, so Once they came out they told me the job would be $400. I thought to myself too expensive and no proof that my radiator was truly damage. They told me it wouldnt be ready till 6pm or tomorrow. I told them I'll just go to a shop around my area because I couldnt wait and the price seem unfair. I took it to another mechanic In the bronx. After he did a pressure test he actually showed me the problem it was a radiator cap leak and pump replacement and needed to change the hose. The job cost ideally $140 compare to $400. AS A WOMAN HOPE FAMILY WILL SCAM YOU !!! I felt uneasy already especially being a woman. Now it was confirmed that I was being discriminated and scammed as a woman for their pockets and assumed I had no knowledge of cars. Beware this place these mechaincs will feed of your desperation and assume prices without looking for the root cause of your "Car Problems" !!!!! Do not use them for your Car troubles at all especially women!!!!

I have been going to these guys for years as they are my local place. Always reasonable, and relatively quick turnaround. They actually charged me for a part replacement, I requested, and when it turned out it didn't fix the problem they (and I know you won't believe this nut it's true) returned me the money fo the labor! So yeah, honest and reasonable. Good fellas over there.

Popped in here today to see if they could look at a problem for me and to schedule a future appointment...Instead the pro told me to wait five minutes and then he fixed my car. Super honest, very thorough, explained each step, and 10/10 I will bring my car here going forward. I cannot recommend this business enough. Very fair pricing and excellent employees.
