They can’t do a basic oil change. Overfilled the oil in my car and it was spraying everywhere. Tried charging me more money to fix it. Then I took it to a real mechanic to diagnose and they said the dumbass put too much oil in my car. Didn’t charge me.

Took my car in for some minor issues, and they charged me $1700 dollars. When I called to ask about the cost, they laughed and told me it was under a million dollars. Classy. All they did was replace a couple of gaskets, and a basic oil change. Now my car shoots out oil everywhere. Wasn’t happening when I took it in. And wanted to charge me more money to fix the oil leak, that was clearly caused by them. The old guy Greg in the service department SCAMS people. Find a local mechanic that is honest. These losers can’t even perform a basic oil change correctly. Will be pursuing legal route now.

This is my first Subaru that I have owned. I purchased it through Findlay in 2021 and have it serviced regularly through them. Every time I bring my car in for service, they have been friendly, helpful and professional. I wish all of my car experiences had been this way.

Unfortunately, walked away pretty disappointed. I came in for a recall part change and a tire rotation. My tires had not been rotated yet since I replaced them. The front tires had obvious signs of turning wear on them and the back ones didn’t. After the service was done, I glance at my tires and see they hadn’t been rotated. The front tires still had the obvious signs of turning wear. After calling, they said they didn’t need to, because the tread measurements were the same except for the right rear tire. I checked with a penny and could see the front tires being more worn down than the rear. Ended up having to buy a tread gauge, because I felt like I was going crazy. After measuring, both front tires 4mm and both rear tires 5.5mm. Thankfully, they were willing to have me come in again same day and actually rotate my tires swapping the fronts to the back. Appreciate them doing that, but my goodness this is pretty basic car maintenance that should have been straight forward. Now, I’m questioning if the free service check of the vehicle was even accurate.

I bought a 2018 Crosstrek in December 2021 and have been very pleased with the car. The customer service with Findlay as well as Subaru and Starlink is the reason for the 1 star rating. After I bought my car I was told that it would cost me nearly $400 dollars to update the Starlink system. I was told that I had to talk to Subaru of America in order to get a voucher to cover this cost. After waiting on hold for 2 hours 1 day and 3 hours the next I finally spoke to the Service manager at Findlay who said he could do it for me at no cost. I then got charged another $49 dollar fee for Starlink and after speaking with Starlink they told me that the dealership was supposed to give me a 1 year free trial. Again, the reason for the 1 star rating is due to poor communication and customer service in the short period of time that I have owned the car and dealt with these companies. Be aware when purchasing from this dealership that if you don't bring these things up in advance you'll find out the hard way later down the road that these hidden fees and charges will begin to emerge. Overall I'm very unimpressed with how it has been handled.

They cancelled my order for a new car. I've been a loyal Subaru customer but they seem to not want to sell me a new car. They seem to be encouraging a bidding war driving up the prices.
