My vehicle needed an oil change and a smog inspection for registration, and I was able to make a same-day appointment. The receptionist/scheduler was very pleasant and let me know exactly how much time this would take. I received an email after the car went through an initial inspection, and details of what needed to be done. Everything was taken care of and the price was very reasonable.

I showed up with an unexpected issue with my car on a busy Saturday morning. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My issue was repaired at a good price and I was back on the road in an hour and a half. (I expected it to be longer.) I will definitely recommend this location and be back myself when needed.

Terrible service. I tryed to get in for a simple inspection and was told I would need to wait 5 to 6 hours by a terrible sales woman at the front desk. Refused to even look me in the eye when trying to fleece me. Said I could drop it off and come back later. For an inspection that takes less then 15 minutes! Yeah right! Called a competitor 3 blocks away and got in and out in less then 15. This place is super busy and doesn't have time for walk ins. You better schedule a week or 2 in advance if you want to try here. Terrible service.

The reason I give them one stars , The lady Verbally said it will take me an hour and a 1/2 to fix the flat . But what Actually happened was. They started on the 3 people who arrived after I did and got on the list so after 2 hours I left.... No apologies and no explanation of why they worked on the people's car who came after me.... Very disappointed to say the least

I recently took my car in, my breaks were squeaking off and on. They had been replaced under 2 years ago and barely put any miles on my car. They quoted me for $8,106.92 worth of work that had to be done RIGHT AWAY! I took my car to Dave’s Ultimate Automotive, thankfully they were able to help me out quickly. I only had one recommended repair. I used to go to the Firestone in South Austin. Always get a second opinion and even probably a 3rd. Absolutely horrific experience and will never return again!

Aj, Jesús, and Selina were súper awesome with the communication, patience, and understanding. I had taken my vehicle to another location that couldn’t help me and had my car for 3 days but I came to this one and they fixed it in 1 Day and i couldn’t thank them enough for their quick service. Highly reccomend!

AJ and the team literally saved me today! I had tried to get an oil change down the street and the kids couldnt pop my hood up and refused to do anything to help get it open. I am from out of state and am not familiar with anything around here and I googled Firestone and thought I would ask if they could help me. AJ and the front desk clerk (wish I got her name too) were so sweet and took in a stray to help. He was able to pop my hood within a couple of minutes and tell me what the issue was and how to fix it for future use. So sweet and helpful! Definitely a place you can trust to help and they are very knowledgable. Thank you for showing me kindness in Austin!

Horrible experience. Was told the tire I purchased last year was still under warranty by two different people that both reviewed my previous invoice. When I arrived I was told it would be a few hours so I ordered a Lyft home. As soon as I got home I received a call that it was not in fact under warranty , when I asked why the receptionist told me it was because my mileage was too high. I asked, doesn’t 55,000 mileage warranty pertain to mileage on the specific tire? I was over 55,000 mileage for my vehicle last year when I bought the tire. She said no, it’s for the total mileage of your vehicle. This is factually incorrect so I asked to speak to someone else. They rudely told me I wasn’t covered because the damage was road induced. Ok that’s fine, but why did I waste my entire day, and $40 in Ubers when I wasn’t covered to begin with. Now, one week later, I have two additional flats, caused by screw and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were responsible. Just don’t go.

I had a nail in the driver's rear tire of the Jeep. When I arrived, the technician inspected it and said it could be plugged or patched. They had it fixed in about 1.5 hours. They also recommended other services but didn't pressure me to get them done right away. The crew was nice and the garage was clean and organized. I will definitely use them again in the future! Thank you.

I’m usually one to wrench on my own vehicles, but when I needed a wheel balance and alignment on my F150 Jesus and AJ hooked it up. Very professional and excellent communication throughout the whole process. When unforeseen problems came up, AJ notified me immediately and had an action plan for how to solve the issues, and they got it done in a time crunch which I know from experience can be incredibly difficult to pull off. Great guys and even better service. Would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks guys!

Employees were so friendly and helpful. I didn't feel pressured to do any extra services to my car. As a woman I hate going to mechanics because they always try to pressure me to do extra services. This place was honest and I would definitely give them my business again.

Zero trust in this place. Swindlers. The absolute worst. Brought my car in making horrible noise and the check engine light on. They told me nothing was wrong, brakes were great nothing to be done. They kept the car overnight then suddenly the next day they told me my brakes were very low and needed to be replaced and my air and engine filter (which had been changed 3 weeks ago) needed to be changed. Picked up the car and the check engine light is still on, nothing is fixed or apparently wrong.

I am disappointed by the dishonesty of the employee with whom I discussed the high cost of the work being done. Firestone charged $110 to diagnose the reason for the engine light coming on. It was determined that the reason for the engine light was a bad catalytic converter and 2 oxygen sensors. I voiced my concern regarding the high cost of the repairs and asked if there were some way to lower the cost of the parts or apply the diagnostic fee to the cost of the repair. I was told that it WOULD be possible to waive the fee or apply a 10% discount. Consequently, I agreed to the work. However, when the final bill was provided, there was no waived diagnostic fee or 10% discount, and the labor charge originally quoted increased by $110. When I asked about the discount or the waived fee, I was told that the waived fee is not done and that the only way to receive the 10% discount was to get a Firestone credit card. It would be nice if the employee, with whom I originally spoke had been straight with me. I may have still had the work done, but I would have at least been better prepared for the price, even if it was 5% higher than quoted (without any discount or waived fee). I would find it hard to take a car back here to get work done. April 30, 2024 - Since writing my initial review, 2 things happened that have changed my rating. 1st, I realized I had been in error when I said that Firestone had increased their labor rate by $110. They had not. They had only added the $110 diagnostic fee to their labor cost. 2nd, Firestone applied the diagnostic fee to the cost of the work done - effectively refunding to me the diagnostic fee. I appreciate the their effort to make good on what I had been told when I accepted their price and told them to proceed with the repair work.

Had 7am appt for an oil change. The front desk agent then proceeded to help the next 7 people that started arriving at 7:10am before coming back to my appt and getting it into one of the bays 50 mins later. Another 50 mins goes by and I asked for an update to which I was told they were waiting on a special BMW oil filter which will be installed in 10 mins as the car was already drained and it had just arrived. Another 45 mins goes by and I am told they couldn't get my car out of the bay at they had begun to work on another car outside that was blocking the bay. 15 mins later they get the car outside but can't reset the check engine oil alert. They told me that they think that it might be a proprietary patch that only BMW could do. I asked him to phone BMW S Austin to see if that was the case so I wouldn't have to wait around for him to figure that out. He refused. He released car to me with alert still showing. I reset it myself in 20 secs after watching a youtube video. AWEFUL!

I had a surprise flat tire on a recent trip to Austin, and only a short amount of time to get it fixed. The guys at Firestone went above and beyond to quickly install a new tire. I was beyond grateful! Amazing service - I 100% recommend this place.

I was in Austin on a trip with friends. I realized I had a low tire and brought it to the closest place I could find. Very thankful I ended up at the Firestone on S. Congress! The two people I spoke with at the front desk were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There were a couple of cars ahead of me, but they repaired my tire in *less* time than they originally told me it would take, and the price was almost nothing. Great service!
