The rudeness from the front desk employees here is astonishing. I have had several instances where I walk in and start speaking to the employees at the front desk and they can’t be bothered to even look at you. I decided to leave a review today because I called to see what is the best day and time to come in to get diagnostic run for my engine after my engine over heated and I was stuck on the side of the road. The man was so rude after I explained the situation. I barely can get grunts in response I feel like I’m talking to neanderthals when I call this location. I get it you probably don’t like talking to customers who don’t work in the auto industry but you are a business that offers to provide services so people are going to call and show up to speak with you. These employees need a class on the basics for interacting with other humans. BUT I do recommend the Firestone in downtown Kansas City. I called them right after explaining the same situation and Megan was so nice on the phone and in person. No hassle, no confusion. I will start getting all of my services at that location instead.

Usually don’t leave reviews as this is my first, but I have to say how negative this place was. I have managed businesses for years and if this was how any of mine ran I would be ashamed. 1st I arrived early to bring my car in for 2 tires and alignment. The guy “checking” people in was too busy laughing at videos on his phone to acknowledge me or even look up. Finally when he did I told him I was there for and he said yeah ok, dropping off? I said no I am waiting for it. I go have a seat and figured someone would ask me what tires I wanted or give me options. Nobody did. 2 hrs later I ask him for an update and you would have thought I asked him to cool down hell with a cup of water. He dragged himself away from his phone went out and came back and said yeah they are almost done. I asked what tires they put on and he said their very best. So now I paid $200 extra dollars for tires when wasn’t given the option for what I wanted. The guy behind the counter was a joke. If you can, I would take your vehicle to the one on stateline and 435 or on bannister. I have had much better experiences. Won’t go back to this one.

Never used this Firestone location before but needed a minor fix on my car caused by snow. Dropped off after hours and they fixed my issue by 9am the next morning. Great communication from them to let me know car was done. I usually have to call a mechanic to see if it's done.

Tire on rim was dropped off at 7 am for potential repair. Later in morning, call was made to me informing that tire could not be repaired because a large piece of metal was lodged in it. When I called at 6 (after my work shift) if tire could be mounted if I came by within ten minutes, the firm response was, "NO!" I asked if it could be done in the morning. The firm response was, "You must contact the tech with who you first made arrangements." I then made an appointment for service through the website for an approved 1 PM service call. It took an hour of waiting for an already-balanced and ready-to-go tire on the rim to be put on the hub after taking the donut off. It should have been a five-minute in-and-out procedure. It wasn't. There was no apology for the lack of service or the time delay. It is no wonder this site has reviews that linger around 1 to 1 1/2 stars. I will find another source for services.

the worst place location for car maintenance had a problem with the wheel 12 days ago handed it in for repair promises to call back in 2 hours no such luck spent 30 minutes on calls. they said that the wheel was repaired, on the way home the computer gives information that there is a puncture in the wheel. the reason was not fixed and outside the window 6 pm everything is closed. this is not a workshop for car repair this is a team for the production of spoiled moods. and then they will write we ask you for forgiveness. how can you trust something serious to these masters if they can’t even glue the wheels

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. I booked an appointment online and arrived on time. When I dropped off my car they said that they were busy but they’ll try and get my oil change done. I wasted 3 hours waiting and walking around the area before going back in and asking about my car. They had moved it so I figured they may have completed my service but forgot to call me. The employee who was rude and eating popcorn the entire time asked me with a mouthful of popcorn “did I call you?”. I replied no but my car has been moved. Without saying anything he walked away and went to another room. After a few minutes he handed me my key and said “there you go”. I grabbed my card to pay and he said “I didn’t call you so it’s not done”. I told him I noticed it was moved and then he asked my phone number. After he tried to look me up he said that I was never in his system and they wouldn’t have done my oil change today at all! Go anywhere else besides this place! I never write reviews but had to with the disorganized and and rude experience!

They do not honor appointments. They took FOUR HOURS to begin working on my car after the scheduled time, making the whole affair take SIX HOURS. I could understand if the mechanics are busy and couldn't start when expected. In that case, there should be communication so I know what to expect, and the option to return later when they are actually ready to begin working. Rather than wasting a huge chunk of my one day off of work. They wasted my time similarly at the Truman location downtown and I will never visit this franchise again.

This place really sucks!!! I made an appointment to get an oil change. I arrived 15 min before my appointment. Here it is 2 and half hours later and I'm still sitting here waiting for my car. I asked the guy at the desk how much,since my car has been sitting for 45 min untouched?? He responded with it should be soon, my guys are working hard. After another 45 min of my car sitting untouched I saw an attendant take it outside. Even after that it was another 20 min before the guy behind the desk said it's ready. What is the use of making an appointment if u still have to wait?? Next time I will read the reviews before I go to a place. After reading these reviews my experience here at this place is normal. Customer service is non existent around here. I'll never be back!!!

UPDATE: As a follow up to this review, corporate reached out, but then ghosted. Turns out there was a hole in the tire, and Firestone didn’t stand by the Firestone Direct warranty I purchased less than a year prior. They closed that portion of the business, apparently didn’t communicate internally, and are just leaving customers out to dry. Not only would I not do business at this location, but I would advise against doing business with any Firestone or Bridgestone brand. I took my car in on a Saturday because one tire wouldn’t keep pressure. (I had put in air the previous day.) The customer service rep acted put out from the minute I walked in. I left it all day. He called mid afternoon saying it was ready and claimed they patched the tire. When I arrived, he was condescending and said “next time I had a low tire I should try putting air in it.” He then said they looked at it and nothing was wrong with it. The car was suspiciously in the same spot I left it. I checked the pressure before leaving, and it was 8 lbs low. When he saw me checking it he came out and further confronted me while vaping. I told him the pressure was low and noted the suspicious parking location. He then took it too far and asked if I wanted to “punch him.” Please note, I was not agitated this entire interaction. Wildly inappropriate customer service, and I don’t believe anyone even looked at my tire.

Dont have us schedule appointments for specific times and then ask us when we need the car back if you wont deliver. You set horrible expectations. I called at the time we need our car back and they haven't even looked at it. Yall need serious customer service training

Had a leak in my rear drivers side tire. Called and made an appointment at this Firestone two days prior and told them I'd be waiting with the car. Day of appointment, I dropped the car off when they opened. I waited two hours of my car not being looked at before giving up and walking home in the rain. They kept my car for 7 hours before they looked at it. They claimed I had run over a nail, they patched it, and I was good to pay $30 for the patch and take the car. Within a couple hours my tire was almost flat again. Took it to Discount Tire and they found the nail in the tire within a few seconds. Firestone simply took my money without addressing the issue. They made me wait 7 hours for my car despite making an appointment and stating that I would be waiting for the car. AVOID THIS FIRESTONE!

Incredibly unfriendly on arrival. Person at the front desk made you feel like you were making his day more difficult. Brought in my car to check for a patch or if a replacement was needed. Never got any updates while waiting in the store. All the same complaints as others regarding how slowly it took for them to get the car from the parking lot. Finally after multiple hours waiting on the car, I asked if I could have an update if a patch would work and if I could pay ahead of time. The very unfriendly gentleman goes back to the garage for ~ 15min to tell me they can patch it but they can’t find a tool to get the tire put back on the rim and car. Another 30 min later (just as they get to 5 o’clock and everyone is going to leave even though it says they’re open until 7) I get told they won’t have my car available today. Not sure how we don’t know this ahead of time. If you value your time, I highly recommend going elsewhere. Not only are you bothersome to the people behind the desk but they don’t have any value for your time wasted on their incompetence. Now im waiting on an Uber to take me home that apparently I get to pay for as well. Go to Goodyear across the street, if you value your time.

Let me tell you about my experience with this Firestone. Let's just say I would never ever recommend this place nor will I ever go back. Took my vehicle in to get it inspected, had an appointment for 3pm but got there around 1 to see if they could get me in, and they said sure, which is the only good thing that happened with this experience. Car was in and out in about 20 minutes, so I thought cool we can get out of here. Nope we sat and we sat waiting for someone to say our car was ready. 2:30 rolls around and I go ask about my car and the gentleman at the counter whom would not get off his phone, looked at me and said they have 2 hours to finish the paperwork. He did not even go check to see what was going on, he just continued back on his phone.I was like wow ok, this gentleman had no customer service skills at all. Answering the phone seemed like a hassle to him, not even a good afternoon this is Firestone how can I help you, he just put customer on speaker phone and said this is (using his name), personally that was rude and disrespectful. And maybe a little bit of confidentiality gone wrong. Now 3:15 rolls around I went and got one of the mechanics to find someone else to help me, one of the other service writers came and asked me my last name, went and looked in the done paperwork, oh and look there is my paperwork, there was a note on a paper that said someone tried to call and 2:11, my first thought was why would you call me to say my car is done when I'm sitting in the lobby. Oh wait I know. Must have interrupted his Facebooking or a game that needed to be complete. So finally at 3:30, 2.5 hours later we leave. So for those wanting to go to this particular store. Don't waste your time

Worst experience ever at a Firestone! Rude customer service, I didn’t appreciate being chastised by the service representative because he couldn’t find the transaction for the Firestone tires on my vehicle or the road hazard protection, but the Firestone in Overland Park could when I had a blowout, and the funny thing is I bought the tires from the Wornall location!. I made my appointment for 3:30 for a simple tire repair and when he asked if I was dropping the vehicle off, I knew it wasn’t going to be simple task and that I was in for a very long wait or if they were going to get to it that day. I will never ever go back to this location (75th Wornall) and probably will never purchase my tires from Firestone due the experience.

When I asked could I make an appointment he told me to drop my car off at 8am and “they’d get to it sometime” and wouldn’t give me a timely answer. I’d like to not have my car sit at a shop an entire business day for something that takes 30min tops. Take your money elsewhere people

Dropped off at 8am....still not done at 5pm...and it won't be done today! So walked 10 blocks to pick it up, not so much as an I'm sorry...just gave me my key. Guess they don't care about business, because I'm going elsewhere now, and will never return. Funny thing is, I read the reviews b4 going, but figured I would give it a try because I need 4 new tires. I wish now that I had heeded the warnings in the reviews, and so should you...beware of going here, it will be a complete waste of your time!

I came from out of town and dropped my truck off at 12 pm on a Saturday for a simple Alignment so that I could have a better drive back Sunday. I never received a call by 7pm Saturday so I called Sunday morning to find out they did not work on my truck at all and wanted me to pick it up at 11am. For an alignment??? That I paid lifetime alignment for? So I ubered and made time to drop off my vehicle for nothing. Now no one can pick up the phone lol

I had an appointment at 3pm. They checked me into their system at 2:45. 4pm rolled around and my car was still sitting in the parking lot untouched. I asked the guy when he thought it’d be done and he basically said “Our bays are full so we’ll get to it when we get to it. Could be tonight or tomorrow.” HUH?!? That’s like making a reservation at a restaurant and the host gives your reserved table away to a random walk in and tells you it’s gonna be at least an hour wait. I was nothing but polite and understanding, but the guy seemed annoyed that I was asking when my car would be done. On top of that, you don’t feel welcomed when you walk into the store. That’s not how you want to feel walking into any business, especially a repair shop that is out of most people’s comfort zone. When they called me with service updates and to let me know my car was done, they weren’t very friendly and didn’t seem happy to answer my basic questions. Overall a poor experience. Bad business

I had my car towed in to this Firestone on a Thursday with a flat tire. I heard nothing from them on Friday or Saturday. I called on Sunday and apparently there was confusion and a tire had not even been ordered for my car. I called again on Monday and was told my tire had been ordered. I called Tuesday evening and was told they had not had time to install the tire. Firestone finally called me Wednesday morning (the first time anyone had bothered to call me) and was told the car was finished and I could pick it up. Six days for a flat tire! I have other cars so I was able to get to work, etc., but I don't think that generally that is acceptable. I've had many tires installed there over the years but I don't see myself going back either for installation or repair.
