Had appt.to install one tire. 2 hr after appt time still waiting. They should not make appt. Just let people know that it takes a day or more to get a tire put on. Do not go to Firestone if your time is important

They do not honor warranties, raise prices after the repair is done, falsify documents, don't do work they say they have done, use low quality parts and do terrible work. Don't believe me? Go buy tires from them and ask if they attach the lug nuts to the manufacturers torque specifications. They will say yes. Now go home and check the lug nuts. They will be so tight you risk breaking them getting them off. Ask them if they use OEM quality parts and they will say yes. Then look up the part from your invoice and you will see they use low quality parts. Check your original quote for the work against you final invoice and see the price increase with no explanation but don't believe the explanation/lies they tell you. This place is a total scam with mechanics just out of school or bottom of their class and the managers there are crafty little weasels who will do and say anything to get your money and stay out of trouble with their corporate managers. It's like a bunch of grade school kids cheating on a test when the teacher leaves the room. I can not warn you enough or say enough bad things about them. Don't get ripped off. Pay a few more dollars and go to Chandlers or Bobby's Pit stop where the guys are actual mechanics and not kids playing with tools. Update. The company replied to this review as you can see below. I emailed them at the address they listed and the result? You guessed it, no response from them. At this point I'm done dealing with firestone and filing a case with BAR, a complaint to the BBB.and bringing them to small claims court. They have been doing this stuff for far too long to way to many people and I can't stop it but I can get my money back and put another mark on their record. With the number of bbb and bar complaints they have already it wont do any good unless people read this, research with BAR and BBb and take to heart the 100s of bad reviews this store has and go elsewhere. If you are still tempted to go to them contact me first. Ill do better work, treat you like a person with a brain and tell you im ripping you off straight with no lame excuses or lies and i wont take 2 days to do so. One last point before I go throw up reading the 4 and 5 star reviews. Look at the work the reviewer had done. Changing windshield wipers, oil change, repair flat tire, etc... Mt 14 year old daughter can do that. A brake job or any actual repair is way beyond their skill set. I'll smile and be nice to you while I'm stealing your money too. And I'll charge less.

Drove in a Honda Element with squeaky brakes while on vacation in Santa Cruz. Was assured by the staff I'd get the car back in a few hours. End of day comes, no word. I have to call in to learn it's a much larger issue. But luckily they could rush order the part and have their specialist fix it 9am next day, Sunday. Noon rolls around.... no word. 1pm I call in, ready to head home from vacation. Still in the shop... please hold tight. 4pm rolls by, again I call in for an update. Now I learn another issue has sprung up — master mechanic is needed and is only around Monday morning. Monday comes and go.... no word. I call in end of day to learn of a third issue. They need to special order yet another part and do another $1k worth of work. It'll be ready "within a week". Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. There's no transparency in the process. No calls or updates at any point. No prices given until *after* the service is done — they've already run your card at that point.

Bought new tires here and when they installed them, they came back and handed me a destroyed wheel lock key and said "You should probably replace this." They clearly just stuck an impact wrench on it and destroyed it and now I have to get someone else to remove them because the key doesn't work. I never leave reviews for bad service but this was ridiculous.

I recently had a tire replaced at this store, only to discover that the labor cost matched the price of the tire itself. At no point was an estimate provided or reviewed with me. Instead, I was informed of the total cost only after the work was completed, leaving me obligated to pay the full amount. What’s most disappointing is the lack of transparency regarding the pricing. Had I known, I would have taken my business to a more reputable establishment like Big-O Tires or Costco, where clearer communication is standard practice. This experience felt like a classic bait-and-switch, and I want to caution others to be vigilant when dealing with this store. Transparency and trust are essential, and no customer should have to face unexpected charges like this.

They let me make an appointment to get tires they don't have in stock put on my car. So I drove 20 miles on a flat on Sunday morning just to be told to come back in a week.

This review is for a synthetic oil change on Prius V. I wasn't happy with front service guy for Oil change price, misinformation, and no review of the service. I called to check on the oil change price before visiting. The price was $90+ for synthetic oil without coupon for a Prius. When I got there, they offered $25 coupon, but the price remained the same. When questioned, the guy say the price is for only 4qt oil which is obviously wrong. Its always 5qt and nothing special about Prius. And couldn't justify the reason. After the service was done, the receipt wasn't given in paper, the tech recommended filter replacement which was never mentioned until I checked the invoice, no oil stickers or any other information was given. I don't think any of the inspection was done either which is supposed to be part of the service!

UPDATED 11/24 -I love that there is a record of my previous review. I went back for another service this year, for the exact same service I reviewed in 2023 (a tire pressure sensor replacement, just one). In 2023, the total cost was $120. In 2024, they quoted me $275. When I inquired further, they said the part cost had not changed ($90), but that the labor cost would be $140 in 2024, compared to $40 in 2023 for the same 30-45 minute repair. In short, they increased labor costs 400% in less than a 12 month period. Never going back luckily got my needs met my Prior's Tires who charged me less than what Firestone did in 2023 :) So grateful for honest people working in auto. As a young(ish) female, I've experienced other tire and auto shops in this area that have attempted scams or rip-offs. Luckily, places like Firestone (under new management) exist and I can give my business to people who charge an honest rate for the services rendered. I was in and out today in less than an hour for a change, and was quoted exactly what my mechanic friends suggested I should be :) Much love, Firestone!

Got a tire patched here about a year ago and that was Ok so I went back to get my tires rotated since my free dealership services are now over. I noticed the sign for a $10 inspection in the front and the representative/cashier advised if I did that it would include a tire rotation. So I agreed. He said it could be a couple hours but I work close by so I said it was fine. They took 4 hours but I didn’t have an appointment so I understood. When I picked my car up they had an $800 brake job to recommend. So I asked for a copy of the inspection sheet and went home and checked the brakes and fluid myself after buying some reputable strips from Amazon. My brake pads are near new and the fluid is no one near needing to be changed. Not sure if they thought they could get away with this because I’m woman or what. They also never rotated my tires and I know because my plugged tire was in the same spot. These guys are not honest, unfortunately.

Had an appointment at 11am, got my car back nearly 5:30 pm (was told it was gonna take a couple of hours) Wrong tires were installed because of the lack of attention to online orders.

My experience with Firestone is not all negative. They previously rotated my tires quickly and for a low rate. Then my car broke down and I had it towed to the shop. The mechanics fixed the car in 2 days. I was thankful, until I drove less than 3 miles and the oil warning light came on. Smoke billowed from the hood. The car was unable to restart. Fuel bleeded all over the road. I had it towed back to Firestone. The mechanic explained they weren’t looking for a fuel problem. Then I didn’t hear anything from the shop. When I got a hold of someone, they promised to call me back and didn’t. Finally was told I can pick up my car it was just a loose bolt on the fuel line. Before I even got to the first exit on highway 17, the car began to smoke. Fluids rained out the bottom of the car. When I talked to one of the techs at Firestone they didn’t even apologize. He told me I need to take it to a specialist. That’s something he should have suggested before I drove off, not after. I had it towed back a 3rd time. No apology. I just got additude. Then the same tech told me again to take it somewhere else, refusing to pay for the tow. He pulled out my car saying I could just drive it. The same vehicle that has been raining fluid. I could t talk to the manager. I called the 1 800 number 4x, and the store manager, regional manager, and area manager never called me back. Bottom line: No customer service and lack of qualified mechanics.

I came here a few weeks ago for a front end alignment after doing my steering rack and inner tie rods. May I note; I have a slightly lowered car and if you’ve ever driven by this place you may notice all the workers have very very low cars. Well, I show up for my appointment at around 2 or so. And the parking lot is a mad house to start. And there’s a specific low car bay that is empty when I show up. I walk inside and the kid at the front desk is being very rude and condescending to the gentleman in front of us. Well I walk up and say hello I have an appointment for (my name) at 2 He says oh (rolls eyes) for the black civic? Then storms out to the bays, grabs a tool to measure my wheels and measures them; walks back inside and proceeds to not make any eye contact and say so well like we’re gonna have to change the arm on the machine to fit your wheels so it’s gonna take a lot longer. I say ok then we explain we just want a front end alignment for the reasons I stated earlier. He proceeded to not say a word and just sigh then say ok it’s gonna be $130; I’m shocked but I say ok that’s fine. We leave and then 2 hours pass. I give a call to check on my car and again the kid is very very rude. He says something around the lines of “oh it’ll be done soon” (they close at 6) so at 5:56 they call me and say “ok your car is done make sure you’re here by 6” im 10 minutes away might i add. I show up and we walk in the door and the same kid just turns the screen and doesn’t say a word to us; until I start asking about how it went and the kid says “well I don’t know what happened but that was THE WORST alignment I’ve EVER seen in my life” since my boyfriend went “well it was pretty good for 2am tipsy alignment haha” (it was a few inches off) anyway we pay and leave, may I also note that my car was done at 5:30! And my boyfriend goes to fill his tires and asked very kindly if he could. The same kid goes “well do you even know how to use one of these” and laughs. I go to my car and notice they raised my front coil overs 4 or so inches?! Never ever notified me of this or asked or anything and they shouldn’t ever have done that for a alignment since lowering them can throw it off again. After I just paid $130 and Waited 3 hours with very poor service. Needless to say; I will not be returning and I’m very upset I paid so much for this treatment after hearing so many good things.

Don't waste your time here, they wasted mine. Brought in 4 new tires for them to mount and balance. Had an appointment at 1pm, showed up at 12:50. As my car was sitting in the parking lot, I saw at one point 3 or 4 techs working on one car. After an hour of my car sitting untouched, I asked if they had an ETA. Only then did they pull my car into the garage at 2:15. over an hour after I arrived. They finally finished at 3:30. 2.5 hour wait with an appointment. To make this even more frustrating, I watched 4 customers come and go after I arrived. No staff even mentioned or apologized for the long wait. I was the one to bring it up and still no apology or acknowledgement. I am no long a Firestone customer.

I had a flat tire and called Costco and was put on hold for close to 20 minutes. Once I called Firestone and they were able to help me right away. They had to get the replacement tire from another shop which took awhile, but Brandon at the front desk was extremely accommodating and applied a coupon for my wait. Super friendly people and great service!

Everyone I interacted with was friendly. Along with 2 new tires I needed a battery that they didn't have in stock, but it was delivered quickly and installed same day. Prices were as expected and they told me everything upfront. The location is walkable to downtown so it's easy to go grab a coffee or something while you wait.

Honest and helpful. The rack and pinion on my son's 2005 dodge ram died on a Saturday and he was stuck in Santa Cruz until it could be fixed. Firestone was the only place that could help him on a Saturday, and had him back up and running by early Monday. They also identified a few issues with the last install (failed after 5 months) and gave a quick fix to his radiator leak. Will go back to them for future auto repairs

I had a very positive experience taking my car in for service and having my tires replaced. Firestone provided me with excellent customer service and was transparent about what services I needed and how much it would cost. I highly recommend Firestones to anyone looking to get new tires or even just needing to get serviced.
