I dropped my car off for a scheduled oil change. When I went to pick it up, I noticed my windshield was cracked from the right side all the way up to the center middle that was not previously there! The manager was not in at the time so I refused to drive my vehicle home due to being told the manager makes decisions on if they would pay to replace it (even though Firestone was obviously at fault). I filed a report and the manager told me he would submit a claim. It has been three weeks and I have called Firestone and their adjuster Chet every single day and have left voicemails and I have still yet to receive a callback despite being told by Firestone Corporate that I would receive a call two days ago and today!! I’m filing a BBB complaint.

I had to update this review remove a star from this review, not because of the location but because as you can see below, Firestone reached out to me and told me to contact them which is likely just an auto reply. Either way, I emailed them twice,… crickets. Never heard a thing as my AC still blows hot air because I couldn’t get into another shop this week. Thanks Firestone. It is kind of sad to have to leave this review. This location has done most of the work on my truck for the last few years. The customer service is great but the auto work has been hit and miss. What prompted this review is the A/C work that has been provided. They have been the only location to work on my A/C. Last year I spent around $1000 having my A/C serviced because it had stopped working. Within 48hrs the issue returned. I took my truck back about a week later, they told me that some part was stuck and they fixed it. I was not charged for the second trip. A year later, same issue. I took it back to have the A/C serviced. It cost $1300 this time. It is currently about a week later, same issue again, but it actually started the day after my A/C was worked on. This time I was told there was a blockage of some sort, which required the front end of my truck to be removed to be fixed. It seemed strange but riding around without A/C in FL summer heat is not an option, although that is what I am doing right now anyway. That is $2300 spent in two years on the same issue. At this point I will I be taking it somewhere that specializes in A/C work to have it looked at which I am sure will not be cheap. While this Firestone does offer a wide range of auto care, and this honestly a great location if you work on base, they do not seem to have specialized knowledge in some areas that is needed to address niche issues. I say that as someone who restores old cares. There is a wide variety of issues I could easily address back when I owned a home with a garage, but even then, I knew when it was best to call in a specialist to take care of an issue.

Making the appointment was easy over the phone for the time and date I wanted. Waited for about an hour or so for the front end alignment to be done. When I asked for a print out for the alignment I was told that the printer for the alignment was broken. I had another vehicle alignment done a few months ago and that printer was out of service then. So that printer was broken for at least 3-4 months that I know of and the company still didn't fix or replace it. Was Not Happy that Firestone wouldn't replace or repair that that piece of equipment that shows the customer the work that was done and how far the alignment was off

Went to this place to simply get my thermostat changed. My engine light came on and got the coding done at AutoZone which is free. I gave them the paper that I received from autozone about my thermostat. They told me that they had to do a diagnostic (which costed 124 dollars) for liability reasons and I couldn’t opt out of it if I wanted my thermostat to be fixed. So whatever I got the diagnostic. A few hours later, they call me telling me that they suggested work that they want done to my car which cost 1500 dollars (which included my 124 diagnostic). I get there and they add a radiator change, coolant, and the thermostat. In the record it literally stated that there is nothing wrong with the radiator and that all of my coolant needed to be dump out to get to my thermostat. They noted that my thermostat is not overheating. All this information is documented on the paper they gave me but what they were telling me was something completely different. They stated that if I don’t get all these items fixed then my car won’t live much longer. At this point, I feel they thought they could bamboozled me because I was a woman and I don’t know much about cars. But, I was not born under a rock to know that 1500 is a scam. They are trying to find any little thing to add to my bill to make a quick buck knowing well I didn’t need my radiator or coolant(which didn’t even block my thermostat). I ended up going somewhere else where he did his own free diagnostic plus only charger me 200 dollars to fix my thermostat and found nothing else wrong. I didn’t really plan on making this review but after I received an email from them stating my invoice, I noticed that they added another thing to it that was not stated on the paper that they gave me. That just proves to me that they are only after my money and how much they can milk out of me for non existent or irrelevant problems.

The team is awesome at this location! I always feel well cared for! The techs make sure my vehicle is running well and they always make sure to explain everything so I know what's going on. They don't ever try to talk over my head. The front staff is amazing too. You guys have a great team here!

The actions of MacDill Firestone is almost criminal. I recieved an assessment for the malfunctioning of two tire sensors with a $300(+) estimate....(this was not the first time they have assessed my vehicle needing critical care for $1,000's, with no to minimal issue assessment found from another garage) My new trusted Firestone station in Fort Myers on HWY 82, identified the tire sensers were fine and did not need replacing, and they fixed the sensor light issue for under $30 and explained everything. Thank you Fort Myers Firestone for taking such good care of me and my family. I will never use (or recommend) the MacDill Firestone to anyone. They take advantage of our Nation's Warrior Class.

Brought my car in. It wouldn't start. Ordered a fuel pump and charged to much. This was priced at Napa at around $400.00. Advance Auto was only $150.00 along with Amazon. The charged me $775.00 for the part. This is an $375.00 increase from the cost Firestone paid for it. I couldn't believe they would rip people off like this. After paying the bill we put fuel in the tank, and found out it was out of gas. They never checked to see if the car had gas in it until after they put the fuel pump in. i was very dissatisfied and felt I was taken. My bill was over $1000.00 for a fuel pump and labor.

Buyer beware. Although the service was great, I was charged a different price than quoted. Charged $694.69 and quoted $474 which cannot be taxes, fees or disposal. Would appreciate a reply on this matter.

These amateurs would not run a 30 second OBDII scan to check a code without charging a diagnostic fee. For Active Duty military on a military installation.. seriously? Every auto parts store outside the gate, and everywhere in the country, will do that for free. But we have to pay for it on base? GTFOH.. What a joke this place is.

I took my car to the Firestone in Hwy 50 Winter Garden, and they charged me for the checkup of the break. They said the light was nothing, but when I spoke to the Firestone at MacDill AFB, they immediately knew that it was the sensor. This confirm that is not the tools is the experience and the willingness to do the job right.

Third time I’ve taken my vehicle in and they’ve told me it would be done by the end of the day. Third time I’ve been called 2pm, told my car was getting taken care of, and third time I’ve been called at 4pm to be told it won’t be finished. Three times makes me a fool. Won’t be a fourth time.

The company has a great vision and policy but I completely lost trust in this store, I asked for a copy of the alignment and the courtesy check and the only thing I received were excuses which makes me think that they didn't do the job but they documented it anyway As if they did it. Same thing with the TPMS, they charge you $20 for the kit and the sensors were not bad, which makes me think again that they documented and charged for a service that was not done.

The service associate was helpful though he promised a text when complete which I did not receive. The concerning factor is their “prorated” tire for the road hazard warranty. I have 14,000 miles on a 65,000 mile warranty (22% of use) but they charged me 63% of the price citing that much of the tread was used. So either they have poor tires (probably) or they are using an exponential/accelerated schedule. On top of that, they charged me again for the road hazard warranty???? I spoke with the manager, Jeff, and it is what it is. No concern about his brand. My recommendation-don’t buy Firestone!!!! Michelin was a much better experience a few years back but I went with a tire sale instead of a known good company. And all this in front of a sign stating Honesty is their fundamental value.
