My tires desperately needed to be filled with air after the one at the gas station malfunctioned. The website said they're open at 7:00 AM, but when I got there, I was told that they didn't open until 8:00 AM. Even then, a nice gentleman opened early to assist me with my tires within five minutes! I woke up early to make a four and a half hour trip back home and his assistance made my morning so much better! I am truly grateful and definitely recommend this location!

Took my 2019 Ford Explorer to this Firestone location earlier this month (October 2024) to change oil, rotate tires and check grinding noise on brakes. Technician comes to me and says “You need new rotors in the back as they are the wrong size. It will cost around $500.” I gasp as I’m thinking I just need break pads. I reluctantly agree to the diagnosis and two hours later he comes back saying - literally - “Brakes are fixed and everything else is perfect in your car.” I pay the bill and drive home. As I’m driving home I notice that the brakes are still grinding. I put in their website that I need a phone call to discuss the unresolved issue. More than ONE WEEK later someone calls me and tells me to bring the car back. He gives me a day and a time - Wednesday, 10/30 at 8 am. I drop my car at 7 am and catch a ride to work. At 5:30 pm I go back to the store and wait until someone can see me. Finally a technician (?) comes out asks me if he can help me, I say: I’m here for my 2019 Explorer. He goes inside and a few minutes comes back and - very dismissively, as if this was the most normal situation - calmly says, “No one has worked on your car yet.” WHAT??? I truly wanted to scream and cuss but what would that accomplish??? I calmly asked for my keys and drove away. Are these people CROOKS?? Maybe. Are they COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT?? Without a doubt. Take your car to this place at your own risk!!! The ONE star I have here is easy of access since they are near my house. But even that won’t make me go back to this place EVER AGAIN. PS: the old sign on their wall is a SAD REMINDER of what good businesses USED to be!…. This store obviously does not embrace the old motto on their own wall. Sad…. (Pic attached here)

I recently had car troubles where my battery had died in my car and it wasn’t running. I was near the Firestone at 41st and Yale so I took it there. The staff were so friendly! Great customer service. The issue was when I get my car back, it was running, which is great! But it would shake every time I was at a stop sign or stop light and my lights on my dash would flicker. So I took it back a second time. At this point, they’re fixing random things within my engine and my bill is at $1,600+. I get my car back a second time and the problem is still happening - abrupt shaking every time I slow down. I’m frustrated because I’m paying over $1,000, just for the problem to keep happening. I decide to take it to the Firestone at this location to get another opinion, making this my 3rd trip in 2 weeks to Firestone. I’d used this location in the past, too. I give them my invoices and explain what’s been happening, hoping for some sort of sympathy or at least to be heard. All I got in response was, “so are you dropping the car off?” I handed him the keys and left. The day before, I called to set an appointment, they told me to come in at 8:30am, I dropped it off at 7:30am just to be safe - they didn’t get to look at my car until 4pm. I had to scramble to find rides to places I needed to get to. My bill, after 3 trips in 2 weeks, ended up being roughly $2,000. My oil change itself was over $100. When I told others, they were shocked at how much I paid. Even after I called to pick my car up, they were wanting to fix and test more things and at this point, I just wanted to stop spending so much money and just get my car back. I know with big chains + companies, they have financial quotas they need to meet, but it was so frustrating to spend that much and make that many trips for something that should of been fixed the first time I dropped it off. I work in customer service and absolutely want to be empathetic and patient in these situations, but I am now needing to find a new mechanic and would not recommend this company to others.

Seth Bray was very helpful since I’m a widow and don’t know what to do. He showed me pictures of what needs to be fixed and was very calm in explaining it to me.

When for an AC check it was blowing hot air they checked and said everything was fine it's the weather. Took the car to another place figured out the issue bad compressor..

After delay the work, I had a bad experience with my air conditioner compressor failed I bought a new one and when I requested to keep my old one they said I could not otherwise I would have to pay some kind of fee…makes no sense I owned the damaged compressor and I bought a new one and paid for the replacement which means both supposed to be mine but seem like a scam coz now for sure they will recoil my damaged compressor and sell it again. I did not want to make a scene but this could potentially be a case for police

AVOID! Brought my Mercedes in for a tire plug with a visible screw in middle of tred with tires measuring “good” depth. Shop was completely empty and no cars in the bays. Was taking quite a while to determine if the screw had actually even penetrated… was told they would have to remove to determine since it was at a weird angle/depth. Eventually a different employee came out and told me my tires were no good, couldn’t be patched and it would be 2K for new tires! Ridiculous. Left immediately. They patched another tire on the same car just months ago with no issue- for FOURTY DOLLARS mind you… which I now know is a scam too. GO to Robertson on 93rd and Memorial. They plugged it for free and assured me I was correct that I had some more time on my tires! I got a BAD feeling from this place as a woman in a luxury vehicle…. You should avoid!

Didn’t have time to change the oil on my wife’s 2021 ford explorer, she ran here as it’s close to her work. Well as I went to change it I find out it has a few broken skid plate bolts in the frame, missing another, and missing clips for the dust guard. Pretty pathetic. It’s not that difficult of a job but it’s exactly why I do it myself. Don’t take your car here, they’re careless. Also their supervisor has the attitude of a high school kid when I called about this issue.

Terrible place, I’ve been here several times. I came in for an alinement and a wheel balance. I’ve purchased wheels from here so I have life time wheel balance is what I was told, and I also purchased lifetime alinements. They didn’t do either of these services. They only rotated my tires which I didn’t ask for and had me wait an hour and a half. And then whenever I left my exhaust was broken in the middle. I’ve had my vehicle on and off a my mechanics lift several times the last 2 days and nothing on my exhaust was broken until I got my car back from here. This was terrible. Definitely don’t use Firestone.

I would give 0 stars if I could. These people are nothing but scammers, and after reading some of the other reviews it seems like they have not changed. I don’t know if it’s this firestone in particular or all firestones, but definitely do not come to this one!!Take your vehicle elsewhere!

This Firestone at 91st and South Yale is excellent. The customer service is great. I purchase tires for all of my vehicles and they always help get the exact selection for me. In particular, Seth is a great service manager and I highly recommend him and this store.

I did oil and filter change from 91st Firestone. After 2 months, Oil of my car started to leak. I had to tow my car to a nearby dealer. After diagnosing my car, they informed me that during filter change of my last one, filter was not tighten enough. Additionally, they should improve their attitude with customer. I will not suggest someone to go to this firestone.

We came in to get a regular oil change and fluids topped off. We asked them to check breaks as well. They ended up coming back and telling us that we needed to replace our alternator and battery. Trying to instill fear in me as a woman because my husband wasn’t there. The car manufacturer had already let us know that we shouldn’t be worried about a notification that had popped up on our screen to stop the car and leave the engine running because this can happen when cooler weather sets in.. Plus, we had been driving with this notification for over a month already so we ruled out that it was the alternator and it could potentially be the battery. We told them we didn’t want the alternator replaced we just wanted the battery replaced certain that that would fix the issue because of prior knowledge from THE manufacturer. They then told us that they would not put the battery in for us because the technician did not want his name on the work when the alternator blows in a week or a couple of days or even when we left the lot. Terrible customer service. That was not his decision to make the front desk guy kept telling us that we were just wasting our money on a new battery. We went elsewhere had the battery put in and sure enough as we thought, the notification was no longer there! Therefore, it was not the alternator. We will NEVER come back to any Firestone because of the fear tactics and shaming used to get us to bend to what they wanted to sell us. And they didn’t even top off our washer fluid as was promised they would top off all fluids.

Made an appointment online. When showing up for it was advised there is no priority for online appointments and that 5 people were in front of me. This was at 9:30 am. Nobody called me to give a heads up.

Super busy so my car ended up being there longer than it should’ve been. Make sure you tell them you need your car asap. My appointment was at 10 AM drove by several times and they didn’t start it until after one. He called me at 1:11 PM and said my jeep is almost ready. I think it was around 3:30 PM before I could pick up my car

Definitely would not recommend coming here if you’re a woman unless you want the stereotypical car service treatment that women so often get. Came in to get my battery checked after another car maintenance business encouraged me to get it checked after telling them about some issues I had been having. Came here and was met with very unfriendly and demeaning attitudes from the employees as if me wanting the battery checked was stupid and aninconvenience to them. Literally EVERYONE I came across was rude and dismissive, from the service workers to the men at the front desk (one younger, one older). Also witnessed other employees acting the same way towards other customers. Asked for my keys back and left— wasn’t giving them a dime. Way to do business! Won’t be back

I scheduled an appointment. I make sure to get there bright and early. I get there and they don’t have a technician in today. Man, starting off on a great foot. Good thing I didn’t absolutely need these repairs done today, but I did clear my schedule for today to allow for me to be without a car. Get it together Firestone!
