I've been taking my Honda Pilot here for 8 years for almost all of it's service needs. I think the service has gone downhill over that time period. I currently have an issue that I've brought my car in 6 times on and it is still not resolved. I left 3 messages for a service manager to call me back and never received a response. I took my car in there originally while it was still under warranty and mentioned that there are transmission issues. I would leave it with them for a couple of days at a time and they would say "We cannot reproduce the issue". I asked if they could go with me on a test drive so I could point it out very quickly and they said no it needs to be throwing a code. I've had the transmission fluid changed several times but it did not resolve the issue. I brought it back on a 3rd and 4th visit and they said it was a dirty throttle body. I knew that was BS but I paid the ~500 and no improvement. They said they would do a 3x drain and fill again which was maybe ~1,200. Not much improvement. They told me your transmission must be bad and you should sell your car. Thanks! I'm at 95k miles and I told you the transmission was bad at 55k miles and after wasting days of my life with multiple drop-off visits and $2,000 in diagnostic and services you told me what I already knew that would have been covered under warranty had y'all taken the time to properly diagnose the vehicle when I brought it in originally. Honda knows this issue exists and they even extended the warranty on select models and years but somehow my car is excluded from that warranty extension for reasons that are unclear to me. I see this particular issue all over the service bulletins and forums. Will be spending my thousands of dollars in maintenance budget elsewhere in the future.

I just bought me a new Accord at First Texas Honda. It's my 4th Honda but my first time buying from First Texas Honda. The experience was amazing. They really treat you like family and take care of you there. My salesman was Pito Sosa and and Justin Boddeker helped out too when Pito was busy. I totally recommend them over any other Honda dealership in the area.

Had a really great experience as a first time buyer. Marcos was very patient, understanding, and explained things very well to make the process much easier. He helped me get the price for the car I wanted as well as my trade-in for great value. I also spoke with other employees there who were also very helpful. I was honestly dreading the whole process before going in but this team made the whole thing feel so smooth. Definitely gonna come here for services and other needs in the future!

Asked for an oil change in May, like I do every year. New service rep after 9 years. Decided not to do the oil, and didn't tell me either, no discussion. My car is driving wonky, so i figured it out by going through past invoices. After multiple phone calls, they seem to be refusing to correct the mistake because I'm being ghosted. Guess I should switch to another place??? Is there another place that will take my money? Or yall can email me like I requested and fix the damage you've likely caused.... 2/3 update: when Lindsey said that a couple of staff called, the call log on my phone shows 1 missed call and 1 voicemail from the same number/person. not sure how one = couple... she also stated that I was emailed, but that is false. after this review, Lindsey was the first and only contact Honda made with me. then her email implied that Honda did not provide the service because I did not tell them to do it, but I am no mechanic, which is why I pay others (hopefully experts) for these types of services and guidance. so I asked if the last oil change was May 2023, then what was the recommendation for the next one? 2 years? 3 years? when the % hits 0? Honda was not able to answer this question. this means, there are not experts at this location anymore.... so I switched to Round Rock. it went so smoothly and they gave me a discount!!!! thank goodness for big cities with multiple locations, phew.. my 11 year old car might've been the target for a sales ploy, long game style...

I needed a reliable used car and went here for this 2016 blue Subaru I found on their website. KD helped me from start to finish and admittedly, I was nervous at first because this is my first time making such a big purchase! He was incredibly kind, funny, informative, and made the entire process super easy. I was no longer nervous in his care and instead, I was super excited about officially owning my (new) car! Horrible service with service department. Not sure if they properly train their advisors or if they’re just money hungry as soon as you mention your insurance company is paying. Unfortunately had an incident where a rodent chewed thru a part of my engine harness which had to be replaced. Dropped the vehicle off on Jan.10th 2025. Mary Skinner who was my Honda Advisor has initially quoted $2401.44 on Jan 13th 2025, for the work to be done. However once we mentioned our insurance company will take over on the payment it magically jumped up to $2552.64 fast forward 2 weeks later now Jan 24th 2025 the quote is now $2781.36. Which was the supposedly revised & final invoice to start ordering part & begin working on my vehicle. Sadly took this long due to the fact that my insurance company & I could not get into contact with Mary even though we left multiple voicemail and spoke with Honda Directory. Even after requesting to speak with manager & requesting to exchange advisors no request was approved or made. Now Jan 31st, 2025 I received a call from Mary stating my vehicle is ready to be picked up & that I need to return the rental they loaned me by end of day so I wouldn’t be charged for any additional days. I mentioned to her I’m currently at work & wouldn’t be able to until tomorrow Saturday. To which she mentioned the new total is now $3000. & I would need to pay the remainder out of pocket. To which I mentioned how did the total change again for the 4th time. At this point I called Honda Directory once again to speak with service manager Jason Kelly. Once Speaking with him on Jan. 31 at 1:50pm he was not up to speed with what the issues/ problems we were dealing with at the time. To which he requested he’d return my call in 30min as soon as he finds Mary & gets a bit more information. Which I requested the invoice where it states $3000 bill to understand how & why the total keeps changing. Fast forward to later that day when I send my brother to pick my vehicle up since I was told it was ready & to drop off rental to avoid any charges. Once there they still couldn’t present the invoice where it states $3000 total which Jason then calls me with a new total of little under $2900. Once my brother is there to pick my vehicle up which then I requested that invoice the only invoice they could provide was for a gran total of $2731.44 which apparently they will send my insurance company a new invoice with correct total to reflect $3000 which apparently they could not provide to me. After all this they still were not going to release my vehicle to me because they didn’t have the full payment. Which they wanted to send my brother back in an UBER & leave me careless for the next 4 days. Due to him not having a valid DL at the moment. All Jason could say was YUP. No accountability or remorse from Management even when they dropped the ball.

He shared with them the difficult financial situation we had fallen into after becoming the caregivers for my 93-year-old grandmother with dementia. The team not only listened but immediately stepped in to help. Thanks to their support, we are now blessed to be driving Grandma around in a beautiful Honda Odyssey—the very vehicle they helped Volma and our loving family purchase just in time to surprise us for Christmas. Tanner at First Texas is an amazing salesman - not your ordinary pushy type at all. In fact his way of helping worked for me finally after visiting so many dealerships with pushy salesman! He made it easy, listened to what I wanted and the price range I could work in and did his best to honor it. He did well. On the flip side when the numbers game was up and we settled on something I was sent to do the paperwork, and they did try yet again to up the price. I paid more than I had intended. I do believe I got a good car. The paperwork I finally went in after a couple weeks to get copies of - that end of it, run by someone other than the salesman was not as well organized. Then today I got the paperwork on a Zip drive. Hopefully everything I needed was in there regarding the warranty and maintenance. I did not get clear answers on how that works, which was a little puzzling.

I would recommend any of my family and friends to use First Texas Honda. I have used them for service previously and I was very pleased with the customer service and work on my car. My Apple CarPlay didn’t work. Three employees worked for almost an hour to get it to connect to a phone. They determined that they would need to put in a new cable. Mary took care of everything and got me a free rental car which was on site. The mechanic made a video while working on my car which he explained everything in a way I could understand. First class operation!

Sales team is excellent! Great experience through out the leasing process of my new honda. Taking one star away because of-the tinting issue that I have. I cannot see thru clearly from my rear view mirror because of the dark tint in the back glass. The tinting department is unwilling to correct without no charge. I think it’s unfair to NOT give proper information about what levels of tint can be used for proper visibility before tinting, especially at dealers place since they would know the vehicle better; and then try to charge customers when asked for correcting.
