Highest recommendation. I’ve taken both of my cars here for years and trust them 100%. The cars are older (2015 & 2014), and they are considerate of costs. Recently, I had a problem closing my sunroof. Since I park my car on the street, I was really concerned about what to do. I rolled into the shop at 4 PM without an appointment and they figured out how to close it and did so for no charge even though I offered to pay a diagnostic fee twice. That’s amazing service that could’ve easily cost me thousands. Love these guys.

I called today and asked when they had availability to diagnose an issue with my vehicle. The guy on the phone asked if I was a previous client, I wasn't. Then he asked what kind of vehicle I had and proceeded to tell me that my 1997 Toyota was, "too old," for them to work on. Meanwhile, these guys have 1980-90's BMW's parked in the lot and literally had an early 90's Toyota Landcruiser up on a lift out front the week prior. Not sure why you felt the need to blatently lie with your business. You could've just kept it straight and told me that you aren't accepting new clients at this time. It's not difficult. Do better. Thanks.

This place is good for fixing flat tires and thats about it!! Not professional and no guarantee on the work they do unless you pay more and do not complain.

Direct, honest, and helpful with every interaction. I've been working with Flamingo Automotive for over a decade, for both personal and work vehicles. They have found cost-effective solutions, clearly explained repair priorities, and provided multiple options for fixing issues. I've always felt that I was in control of what was being done with my cars and that Flamingo Automotive was working with me, instead of trying to extract sales. I cannot recommend them enough!

Great people. Honest and reasonable. Had an issue with catalytic converter and it took a while with insurance but they fixed it first time. We come here for everything now.

I went here to get my car looked at. Just for him to tell me he doesn’t want to work on it because he already had spent to much time on it. I had to pay a diagnostic fee. I feel like I was robbed out of my money just for him to say no…would not recommend it. Joe said he would do the work if I had pay him 2500. Don’t know if he was joking. Do better. Waste of money. Oh he also didn’t give me the detail information about my car. Which is what a diagnostic fee is. Do not come here. Joe is not who he is from these positive reviews.

I recently took my car to Flamingo for a State inspection and oil change. Their trained professional technicians handle routine maintenance at a fair price. I especially appreciate that they checked my battery and let me know it was getting weak. Because they "look down the road" and practice preventive maintenance, I was able to get a new battery installed while my car was in the shop instead of waiting for it to fail and leave me stranded somewhere. Grateful to Flamingo! They keep Austin cars running safely.

It was recommended to me to take my vehicle to to this shop by the manager of Groovy Lube. Unfortunately the experience wasn’t what it was chalked up to be. The mechanic, Joe, was very gate keeping and evasive about the details of my car. When I asked for clarity instead of hypotheticals, he told me to take my car elsewhere. I’m disappointed.

The nicest people I have come across in Austin so far. I stopped here and although they were super busy they took the time out to check my car for me to make sure it was safe enough to drive back home thousands of miles away. This shop stores tires behind its building that year after year creates a mosquito infestation for all of the adjacent neighborhoods. Multiple pleas from us, our neighbors, businesses in the area - all goes unheard… even with offers to take care of the problem by handling it ourselves.

Went in with a screw in tire sidewall. Plugged the tire and aired it up and suggested we go get a new tire. They did not have the correct tire size so they referred us elsewhere. Very nice and informative. Flamingo even plugged our tire for free!

For over 20 years, THE best mechanic and pricing for all my cars: Honda and BMW ❤❤❤ Addendum: Now, since 1993, 30 years I've been going to Joe and his team. Cannot say enough about their integrity, genuine care, excellent service (better than the dealerships), low cost, and how Joe always makes me feel like I'm his only customer. Thank you for fixin' up my 2011 German car practically back to new! ❤️ Including little things like my clouded headlight covers, my bent license plate, etc., that were not on my original work order. I had to drive to New Braunfels the day after I picked up my car, and she performed like brand new. Such a relief. 🫶 You guys are THE BEST every single time!

Joe, the owner, is passionate about taking care of cars. As this was my first time to bring my car to Flamingo the staff and Joe took two days to assess the condition of the whole car. Joe pinpointed the problem that I was experiencing in my Honda and gave me a fair estimate for the repair. Joe kept me informed of each step in the repair and was able to charge me the lowest end of the estimate. The assessment and repair did take 5 full days and I now feel very confident in the safe running condition of my vehicle. I am glad that I was able to get an appointment and repair here and I will return here for all my car maintenance and repair work.
