Last year I took my car there for an inspection to renew my registration. Last month I was looking into selling my car, and I couldn't get it valued on the carvana site because it kept telling me that the number of miles on the odometer I was entering into their form was lower than a previous entry (I'd never used the site before), and that if I wanted to change the number, I needed to call a phone number. I called the next day and they told me that when this business performed the inspection a year ago, instead of entering "32,000" miles, they entered "320,000". I told them that I was the owner of the car and the number was wrong, but they said that the business had to fix it somehow...

My vehicle didn't pass and that was my bad, but the service was great. The last place I went to, I'd have to drop my car off and come back later due to it taking hours for the one person on staff to get to my car. Not here. I was done in about 15 minutes or so! Even though my car failed inspection (I just got the battery replaced two days ago. I need to drive the car around some before it'll pass), they give you 15 days to come back and get one free re-try which is pretty awesome. The price for service was very fair too. The experience was pretty painless. Just drive up to the back and they come to your car with a card reader (or take cash). Then they take your car and you wait. Easy-peasy. I'll be coming back here for sure whenever I get my miles back up. I can't stress how much better this experience was compared to the last place I was going.

While my mother in law was getting an inspection an incompetent employee broke the headlight assembly on my mother in laws truck. From what I understand they don’t replace headlights, so they shouldn’t have said yes to do it. Now we’re stuck with the bill on the headlight. The owner of the location does not want to reimburse us for the headlight assembly that THEY broke. So I would advise everyone not to not come here. Unless you want your vehicle damaged, and thanks to someone else’s negligence, we’re stuck paying for the headlight assembly. My mother in law was told “This happens all the time to classic cars.” Not if you do it the right way. Not if you take it out correctly instead of using the adjustment screws. Whoever says something like that’s is not very mechanically inclined.

Great local inspection shop that conveniently does oil changes using Mobil 1. I have been coming twice a year for a couple of years and have been pleased every time. The wait has gotten a little longer, but still quicker than 99% of the shops around south Austin. My Bronco, Camry, and ZX6R have always been treated well by the techs. Great service by great guys - thank you.

Great location with parking! Efficient and well-spoken owner. Outside seating to wait with a giant fan so heat is not a big problem. They take cash or credit!

Fast and friendly! Getting the vehicle inspection every year is a task I usually dread. At other places, it is a 90 minute wait or the inspection guy is only in every other Tuesday between 10 and 11. Both FlashPoint locations are fast and professional. The one on Menchaca has tacos and coffee nearby!

I was able to get an inspection here quickly on a Friday afternoon. They got it completed within 20 minutes and had my key back in my hand. There’s lots to eat and do nearby while waiting. Definitely coming back here again!

I was greeted as soon as I pulled up - bro was friendly and efficient. I needed a vehicle inspection, I had my insurance ready, he reviewed it, I paid (even took Apple Pay!) and he took off in my car to start the process. All this happened while I was still in my car and it took about 2 minutes and 43 seconds. I had a passed vehicle inspection in less than 15 minutes.

Cannot recommend this place enough for a state inspection! I was in and out in 20 minutes, walked across the street to grab a coffee to go. $20 and great communication. I will absolutely be back here next year!

In and out in <20 minutes, and the young man Jose working was very professional and considerate. He knew we were grabbing a bite at the restaurant next door so he came by to tell me my brake light was out, and he let me pay for a replacement bulb from there so we could enjoy our meal. Super considerate!
