Called to get price to fix my Audi Q5 rear right light. Guy who answered was nice but said “I have no idea”. I waited for a pause to see if he would come up with price. Nope. Just said he didn’t know. Welp, that’s not good business practice. I guess they don’t want to work and make money.

Avoid this place. Don't know much about VW. Terrible. Had no problem charging for a no fix repair. Went to Tony's at Jax beach. Tony's knew their stuff and prices were great.

Been taking my Saab there for years. Hole in the wall dump but - very knowledgeable about Saabs, honest, not the cheapest but they really try to not do more than what's needed.

I have a 08 Volvo XC90. Excellent service and exceptional job. Prices are unusually fair. I've been in Jax 10 months now and been to 3 different repair shops. I must say I no longer need to seek elsewhere. It's comforting to know the job was done right which means more to me than anything. Thank you Franz very much.

My husband and I take our Saabs and Volvo here. He's very fairly priced and honest. I appreciate the time they take to explain exactly what the issues are with the car. If you have a Saab, bring it here. They really know their stuff with them and won't charge you crazy amounts of money like other places will.

Franz and staff are the only place to take a Saab. When another garage recommended a $ 5000 engine replacement, they diagnosed and solved the problem for $700, which also fixed the AC! Daughter's Saab is still running well, 12 months later.

Took a 94 Volvo 940 here for repairs. Guys are great and very reasonably priced! Literally charged $2000 less than dealers quote. Don't hesitate to use them, even for a volvo.

I've been going to Franz Foreign Car Service since I purchased my used Volvo over 2 years ago. Honest, dependable and affordable and one of the few mechanics I've used whose repair costs actually came in under the estimate. Franz was recommended by my regular mechanic, who, unfortunately, doesn't work on Volvos. I'm glad he did.

Ted and staff at Franz have kept my family on the road in my SAAB or Volvo for over a decade! Not only are they knowledgeable and competent, they are friendly and nice to sit and chat with about anything related to automobiles. Best garage in town to service or repair European autos!

My buddy suggested I try these guys to repair my Mercedes SLK A/C system. They were fast and helpful. When they discovered that the issue was beyond their capacity they steered me to a competitor who could and did help me. Excellent.

This place is the best! After a terrible experience with Dungan Brooks Imports over on St. John's Bluff, and seemingly uneducated "mechanics" at some Volkswagen shop on Atlantic (near the Vystar/Chinese place), my bf and I had seen good things from Franz while driving by (namely the expensive cars he always had piled in his shop!) but we were too scared of the area at first since it is a bad neighborhood. After taking a chance however, Franz turned out to be the best place to take our car to. Franz was honest, fair in price, and extremely knowledgeable. He gave us free information about my bf's car after the repair, answered all modified related questions without charge, and even told my bf a few other places in the car, in time (i.e. didn't need fixing right away), would need to be fixed. He never once pressured my bf to get it fixed however. It's just a shame that he doesn't work on Japanese imports since we have an STI now.
