Always leave their shop Happy! They find out the cause of your issue and do their best to fix it, and they give you the price up front, so you're not surprised by the bill. I've always felt that they care for the customer and do what they can to make sure you are happy and the vehicle is fixed right the first time. I won't willingly go to another mechanic, ever again!

I was in a hit and run rear-ending and still had two hours to travel to get to my family’s Thanksgiving, they took me out for a drive in the car to listen to it, told me exactly what was wrong, tightened something up to make the grinding sound go away, and didn’t charge me at all. I took up 20 minutes of their time and expertise and they reassured me I was safe to drive at no expense, and were super kind and understanding as well.

Fred does quality work and he's very experienced and he's very good with people. He is honest and straightforward about what you need done and will take it one step at a time. He will not do anything that you don't need done without taking the simplest things first out of the equation. Fred works hard to meet your needs and so does his staff. His honesty and knowledge has saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you so much Fred and family.

Charged my customer to do the EXACT same work we just did and claimed we didnt do the work. Alas, I mark my parts and picture the process. Upon inspection I see they charged the customer for new parts and claimed to install them yet the parts are the same ones I installed the week before. Pretty dang shady.

This 5-star rating is all about honesty. This was my first time visiting this automative shop and I did so because of the good reviews. Fred was honest with me about not needing an A/C evacuation and recharge service. The Mercedes dealership here in Waco was recommending that I get this service and they wanted to charge me over $600 dollars. I did not think I needed the A/C service because my A/C was blowing nice and cold. This is why I wanted to get a second opinion. Anyway, Fred is definitely worth your time. He was down to earth and did not charge me a dime for his technician to check my car's air conditioning system. Thank You Fred again and God bless you!

As we all know when dealing with mechanics it can be a nightmare! Well my dad always recommends me to Fred! This time i got to experience Fred for myself! Humble, caring, and honest! He took his time and found out what was wrong with my car. He took his time explaining it and FIXED it! Not only did I get a car experience but I was able to get some Godly wisdom from him… I am grateful for this Man and his employees! If you are in need of a good mechanic stop by and tell him I sent you! If he cant fix it, he is honest enough to tell you!

Excellent service and very reasonable prices. I called to explain what was going on with my vehicle and was told to bring it by. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a warm welcome by a gentleman outside and directed to Fred. Fred was very informative, explained to me what was wrong with my car, and got everything taken care of promptly on a Saturday morning. I highly recommend this place if you are having any issues with your car.

Fred is the ONLY mechanic I trust and that's rare because I'm a woman and everyone tries to screw me over but I have sent everyone I know there for at least the last ten years and everyone is always happy with him. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Awful. Stay away! Right this moment, they are looking for my son's car. It was left for an a/c estimate. They did not communicate at all. He was left without transportation for days and was given the runaround. Their phone is not working, they did not respond to my email, there was no explanation and no apology. We will NOT be using them!

Fred and his team were top notch. Came in for ac repair, he gave me the run down on what could be wrong. He even mentioned depending on what year of my vehicle; the Freon could be double the price. After diagnosis He told me my vehicle took the cheaper type, where as he could of easily sold me on the expensive. 100% trustworthy & dependable. Will be back for any other vehicle needs

Fred is an answer to my prayers for a good mechanic for my daughter that won’t over charge, will diagnose correctly and won’t take advantage of our lack of knowledge! My daughter, a sophomore Baylor student, had work done last year on her 2003 vehicle that cost over $700 at another shop, wishing we had known Fred last year. We were new to the area so we didn’t know where else to look. We went back to that shop with a check engine light and they charged us $133 to just diagnose the car. Fred does free diagnoses! The recommended repairs were almost $700. One of the three things were spark plugs for around $500. I felt like that was pretty steep, my father came into town but wasn’t familiar with my daughters car to change the spark plugs so he checked out two other mechanics. The second mechanic quoted us mid $300’s and then Fred quoted us mid $200’s. He will be our mechanic for as long as she is in Waco! My daughter and I now have peace of mind that she won’t be taken advantage of when her old car needs future things done! I would 100% recommend Fred, unless you like being over charged and up sold.

I had taken my car to a local auto repair shop with some issues and told I needed a new engine. I wrote a post in my small community’s FB group asking for car repair shop recommendations with good customer service & affordable. One person highly recommended I take my car to Fred’s. He shared someone had taken their Chrysler to Fred’s the week prior with the same diagnosis to find it was actually something minor. Praise God, the same occurred for me! Fred made me comfortable the moment I phoned him with my situation. He assured me he would do his best to find and fix the issue. Great customer service & affordable, which was my request in my FB post. My car is now running smooth! 13 years old with 109K ready to take her 200K and beyond! Highly recommend Fred & his crew!

The Jeep dealership in the area (Allen Samuels) diagnosed my dragging brake as a result of a faulty ABS system and quoted $3,000 for the repair. Took my vehicle to Fred to get the same job done for half the price (with my own parts). Turns out the dealership completely misdiagnosed the issue and all the Jeep needed was new brake hoses. In total, the repair cost me $400. Had I stuck with the Jeep dealership, I would have made an unnecessary $3,000 repair and still been on the hook for the additional cost of the brake hose replacement to actually fix my vehicle. Fred did a great job re-diagnosing the vehicle (even though I didn't ask him to) and fixed it at a reasonable price. I would absolutely take my car here again.

Was stuck in Waco with worn brakes and had a replacement set on hand I was hoping to get installed. While calling around, I spoke with two employees at this shop, a woman and a gentlemen who I imagine was the owner or manager. For simply looking or asking for help, I was berated for owning an electric car, despite needing service that is fairly typical on most cars. The phrase “it’s your own fault for purchasing that car, you know what you’re getting into” is not something I imagine someone who needs help should hear in a time of need. I understand I may have been a bit needless as we were trying to solve our problem, but I did not expect this degree of treatment or discrimination for owning a particular type of vehicle. They were also very unwilling to help when I was hoping for any referral or recommendations on how I might be able to get my brake pads replaced. Ultimately, I was left without help and feeling even worse than when I began the call. Would not recommend for service. Absolutely would not recommend if you own an EV. Tesla and EV owners, this is exactly where you’ll find people willing to make you feel bad about your purchase. Unless you perfectly fit the “profile” for the type of work they do, go elsewhere. I imagine you might get better treatment.

We were driving through Waco on a road trip to Houston and our A/C unexpectedly wouldn’t blow cold. I found Fred through the positive reviews. Fred welcomed me in and gave me a cold bottle of water and said he’ll take a look at it. He was super busy, taking care of customers picking up, dropping off, and the phone was ringing off the hook. Still, after he got situated, he took a look at my truck and diagnosed the real problem, and he figured out a workaround that got us back on the road with cold air. I offered to pay him for his time but he preferred I leave a review. I’m grateful for his thoroughness and attention to detail. I was treated well even though I was a stranger.

Yesterday I received a message from my daughter who is a Baylor student, stating that the break fluid is low on her car and it says it is dangerous to drive. I call all the well known places and they basically gas light me with all the worst case scenarios. I googled places closer to the school and found Fred's. I called him and he was so calming and reasonable. He explained it was probably just under the sensor. But to drive slow and cautiously and he would be waiting for the girls to show up. I asked him to call me when he did his assessment so I could take care of any decisions and the bill. about 30 minutes later the girls called me and said that he was there waiting as he stated and he immediately began looking at the car, put some break fluid in it and sent them on their way. He never called me to ask for money or even to receive a thank you. How do I repay that kind of kindness. There were so many ways he could have taken advantage. I was panicked and would have paid anything because there was no way for me to know any different. If you have a Baylor student and you are worried about where to send your kids for auto repairs, this is your guy. I hope my story helps in your decision. I went from my heart beating out of chest to very calm and no problem at all within about 30 minutes. It was an intense moment and I will never forget the kindness this man showed to my baby girl. I believe they have made him a little gift and is taking It back to him. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. you will be handling all our automotive concerns in Waco.
