Took my 2015 Nissan in to replace brake pad + rotors due to grinding metal sounds. Fritz car care ended doing a general inspection and found out there was A BUNCH of things wrong with my car totaling about $2k. They let me take a couple hours after the initial diagnosis to figure out the financials, and even drafted up detailed receipt of how much everything would cost after taxes, labor, parts, etc. Answered all my many questions and helped me come to a decision. In the end, I just asked to replace the rear brake pad/rotors/calipers and to install a missing sway bar link totaling to about $1.1k after all the fees. They don't do any special discounts for VCU students, but he explained how their labor rates are a bit lower than other local shops so I was okay with that. Overall it was a great experience, and was able to get my car the next day. Would recommend this place, it has some trustworthy people!

Such a great shop!! I tried it out because I lived across the street. You can just tell that Glen is very trustworthy and wont try to sell you unnecessary services. These kinds of shops are hard to come by and would definitely recommend!!

Brought my son’s car here while he was stationed at nearby Fort Gregg-Adams and he developed a coolant leak. Great experience! They diagnosed the primary issue and also did a complete check on the vehicle, which I drove to drive back to Atlanta. Discovered a busted tie rod, which had caused alignment issue and worn one of the tires down to nothing. They repaired everything, replaced tire, fixed alignment, and I was on my way to Atlanta the next day!

Daughters car developed scraping noise in front end. I've been working on cars for 42 yrs and owned a repair shop on Hatteras Island for 20 hrs but was out of town when this problem developed. She took the cat to Fritz auto care and found a rock between dust shield and rotor repaired it and didn't charge her. Very honest repair shop. If you need repairs I highly recommend Fritz auto care

My car was definitely a headache for them but they worked with me to figure out a solution and get my car taken care of. Really appreciate them taking the time to look at my car and figure out what was going on even if they weren’t able to fix everything for me due to my budget limitations. Good, trustworthy people who will do good work on your car.

I’ve been coming here for years. The guys are thorough, fast, fair and don’t try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don’t need. I recommend them to everyone so get in there ASAP cus they do get busy.

Best mechanic I have ever been to. I don't know what these 1 star reviews are smoking because I have gotten the most honest, helpful, transparent advice and work I ever experienced with my 2012 Subaru. He saved me money and is always timely. When they are too busy to have something done within the day, it's normally because it's the end of the month (inspections due) or issues beyond their control. I will reccomend this shop everytime.

I trust Fritz's Car Care to maintain my 8 year old Toyota. I appreciate that when something is wrong they figure out what the problem is and fix just that. Fritz's sells tire too. A special treat is admiring the muscle cars and antiques that are serviced there. If you live in Richmond, VA, Fritz's Car Care is convenient because you can drop your car off and walk home.

Lied saying they work on your type of car. Only does diagnostic on car and charges you but refused to fix two of my cars claiming its not worth fixing. So to test them. I ask how much to repair the control arms? Oh that's not worth doing is the reply I got. No licensed mechanic. Stay away unless u want to waste your time and money.

Fritz's car care gave me an honest review of what tires my car needed to save me money. They did an amazing job cleaning all the pine needles out of my car so it wouldn't flood. I have ten pine trees on my property. Pine needle extraction is no small task.

I went here a few years when I was in school just for a state inspection. When I returned to pick my car up, I found that work had been done without my approval and my car was not released to me until I paid them for said work, these people are CROOKS and cannot be trusted do not use them for anything!

I went in on a whim early in the morning because my car was overheating. They were able to diagnose and fix the issue the same day. The mechanic was helpful at answering all questions. Their team even did spot checks on a few other areas of my vehicle. Overall, great service and very reasonable price. I will be back again.

Took my car to Fritz after having issues with the hybrid battery for several weeks. Glen diagnosed the issue on the spot and was so nice and helpful in explaining the issue and options for repair. He was even amiable when I needed to stop by a second time to get more information on my car's issue. Will definitely use Fritz for all my car repairs in the future!

Fantastic service from Glen and the Fritz’s Car Care team. Although this was my first time going to Fritz’s, I don’t see myself doing business with any other shop! They were very clear and communicative (which was especially helpful for someone with little car knowledge). Overall, fantastic service and will also be recommending them to others!

My car needed a battery replacement urgently and Fritz was able to fit me in quickly! I really appreciated how the mechanic popped the hood with me there and demonstrated the condition of the battery. I cannot appreciate enough how thoughtful they were and how they explained everything.

I definitely jumped on here to make a review very preemptively considering I have not taken my car into the shop yet but talking to Glen on the phone was such a good experience. As someone who gets intimidated trying to talk to car people and trying to pretend I know what I'm talking about, Glen was very amiable and helpful over the phone and went the extra mile to reach back out to me to clarify some things. All that and a very reasonable price.
