Came here for some light scraping to my paint, and they did a fantastic job! My car looks brand new!! They kept me informed through the entire process with daily updates, and were so kind and helpful. Will definitely use them the next time something happens to my car

My side mirror was torn off while it was parked. Gave G&C a call. They said to bring it in for an estimate. They looked at it got my VIN #, took my name and number. Said they would look for the part and get back to me with an estimate. I foolishly waited a week and finally called them back. Explained what happened and the person who answered put me on hold for a long time. Finally came back on the line and said the manager would call me back. Guess what, no return call. I took my car somewhere else and it was fixed in a few hours time. They clearly lack communication skills. I would not recommend wasting your time here. If it was too small of a job for them, they could have told me that instead of wasting my time.

Now, this isn't a paid advert or favors of any sort. Here's just a sincere testimony from my experience at G and C Auto-body, specifically at the Martin Luther King Jr way, Oakland location. I must commend how organized they are, their professionalism and compassion in fixing cars. I initially went to another Auto-body shop (Name withheld out of respect) in Oakland where I was given a quote that was larger than life as compared to the actual cost of fixing the small dent/functional problem my car had at the time but when I came to G and C at this particular location, the problem was fixed better, faster and way cheaper as compared to the first place I went to. The difference was very clear, even to a blind person. I hereby recommend G and C Auto-body to everyone, even my enemy (Just incase I have any that I am unaware of). They will get your car back to a motorable condition and you/your insurance will be happy to pay the realistic cost. Apart from the cost, the service is premium without sentiments or partial treatment. Thank you

Excellent follow up and communication with my car as it was being repaired. As compared to another repair shop in the area, they were half the price. It's no wonder Geico sent us to G&C

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had body work completed here and my paint has started to chip. I have been asking them to follow up with me since February. Every time I call they always say” well get back to you next week” it’s been 7 months. This place is horrible

I had my car sent here as recommended by my insurance company after my catalytic converter was stolen. It took about a week for the repair. They communicated about everything except method of payment. I only found out when I picked up my car that they charge 2.5% to use a credit card. After having to occur unexpected expenses because of the theft of the converter I got hit again on the way out. So be aware they except ATM cards, money order or cashier checks.

They took a lot of time to repair my car. They texted me most of the time to get updated. But nothing happened. They took more the 96 days to finished the job.🤮🤧 personal opinion. I won't recommend them..

I received great service at G and C auto body for my car which the front bumper had fallen off of. Jason Carrillo helped us pick out the parts we needed and the team ensured that it would stay on despite damage to the body of the car. Excellent and speedy service, highly reccomend!

I thought I found a good auto repair & body shop in my neighborhood, but when I showed up for my appointment - there was no appointment in their system - and I was denied service or wait until next month! Oh, and the manager was sorry, too. They recognized that I called to make the appointment, but apparently the person on the phone didn't record it or there was another step to confirm the appointment which I was not told about. Very frustrating and a waste time. MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM YOUR APPPOINTMENT!

My driver side mirror was ripped off by a passing truck while it was parked on the side of the road. Sean from G&C Auto Body in Oakland took care of everything despite numerous staffing and supply chain challenges at G&C thanks to COVID (this was during the Omicron surge--eek!). These issues were obviously not the shop's fault, but Sean kept a positive attitude throughout and expertly navigated the situation with utmost professionalism and composure. I walked away with a mirror (original factory parts, not some yucky refurb) that was good as new and with no out of pocket costs because, bonus, Sean took all of the hassle out of dealing with the other driver's insurance, too. Very happy customer here. Thumbs way up! :D

Needed a new bumper and this was the easiest, best outcome I could have hoped for given the circumstances. Turnaround time was less than 24 hours from drop off (after parts had come in which only took about a week). Tim was communicative and helpful throughout. Car looks brand new - this place is quality.

I want to thank Nick for handling the situation between the other party insurance because I know personally they were extremely hard to get a hold of. Everything was nice and they even clean the in side and out side of the car! Thanks guys

Seems like they are REALLY over booked. The people inside were trying their best and did a great job with their repair in the most cordial way. That being said, they cancelled my car's tow that THEY themselves recommended a half hour after the towing appointment. Additionally they took over a month for what was seemingly MAYBE a week repair. Although it was smoothed out when getting my vehicle, they told me 3 separate times that my car would be ready on a specific day and each time did not answer calls / did not reach out. Perhaps the management needs to step up to support the wonderful team at the Oakland location. I'm happy with the work, but in all honesty felt completely trapped in my choice to get my car repaired here.

Thanks for fixing my side view mirror! Although sometimes I didn’t get much correspondence from them on when my parts would be ready, or even what kind of parts they’re getting, I think in the end they did a great job. It was done in less than 2 hours and I felt prioritized and given enough attention.

If you want a part time job trying to figure out what is actually wrong with your car and when it will be done this is the spot!!! They told me repairs would take 11 days. It has been 6 weeks. They told me to pick my car up twice when it wasn't actually done. I even showed up at the shop for them to tell me it wasn't even there! Nobody even bothered to call and tell me. They have zero respect for your time and don’t communicate anything regarding your car.

My insurance sent me here when my catalytic converter was stolen. Everyone I interacted with was super nice and professional and the repairs were done quickly. They even did a minor repair on my bumper for free several weeks after I got my car back! Nothing related to my insurance claim - just super nice and helpful people. Overall, it was a way better experience than I expected. Many thanks to Jason and the rest of the team.
