Have to agree with recent reviewer, really wanted to love this place especially after all the positive reviews-but alas sadly-I will either have to live with squeaky brakes (they weren’t squeaky prior to work) or have to go to a shop that provides OEM materials. I asked for a list of parts several times and was only provided a hand-written invoice-guess if there was a recall-on a part it wouldn’t matter because it’s probably not OEM! Was told the rotor would need to be replaced to avoid squeaky noise. Most mechanics agree, rotors would be grinding noise. I was suspicious but work was already done! If you have BMW, don’t skimp, only go to authorized mechanic who uses OEM parts. $400 lesson learned :-/

My opinion is: beware. I wanted to trust this place, but they charged 5 times the hours of labor compared to multiple mechanics online who showed the same sensor replacements on my exact car model. They took advantage because they knew my car was towed there. Other issue was they didn’t call me to say my car was already finished Friday afternoon when they were closed Saturday. They did get it done same day which I appreciate, but because of the above violations of my trust, I’ll use another shop next time.

They sell awesome cars at fair prices thanks to Tim. Gary himself took care of me when I had issues with my car, and overall these guys are good people who care about the work they do. I was moving to LA from out of town and these guys made it so much easier to get a solid car quickly. If you want a good vehicle that runs well, and worked on by trustwothy mechanics in a timely fashion, look no further, this is it.

Honest and fair. Brought my hyundai in for repair and he took care of it quickly. Part of the problem resurfaced and he took care of it as part of his guarantee on his work.

Gary and his team are the best mechanics on the west side. They only do repairs that are needed...no up charging... no unnecessary repairs. You can bring your own replacement parts and they will install for you.... and not force you to buy parts from their suppliers at inflated prices.... like other repair shops do in the area. They are honest and up front about the work and costs involved. Gary and his team are very professional and treat everybody with courtesy and respect.

I have been using Gary's Pit Stop for the past 2 years and I couldn't be happier with the service they provide. I have brought many cars to them for both small and big repairs and the team has always been kind and professional. They are truly experts in their field and their work is always top-notch. The team at Gary's Pit Stop is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure my cars are running smoothly. They are always honest and upfront about the work that needs to be done and they never try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. The prices at Gary's Pit Stop are also very fair and competitive. I have never felt like I was being overcharged for any of the work they have done on my cars. Thieves. Go somewhere else. They will take your money, but they won’t fix your car. Especially Gary the big thief. He will sweet talk you and pretend he’s your friend. Don’t trust him. I’m speaking from experience dealing with these thieves. Spent a lot of money to fix my car only for it to break down again a week later.

I bought a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta at this location in October 2019 and the car still runs great!! I had to bring it in to replace the air filter box today (January 11, 2021) ...i bought a new one online...Gary swapped it out- free of charge!! Gary and his crew are the best!! Update: After the new air filter box and air filter was installed by Gary...i went home to remove the MAF sensor and clean it with some CRC cleaner...to my surprise...Gary cleaned the MAF sensor...it was spotless!! Wow! That was awesome!!
