Do not waste you time. My husband and I had new tires put on at walmart and went to Gateway to have an alignment completed. With in 25 minutes told us the upper and lower ball joints were bad on both sides and refused to do the alignment charging us $38 to check it over. My husband explained he would do the work himself instead of paying them $1,300 to do the work. They said okay, so we went home. My husband completed all the work and so I returned to Gateway. My husband had to work so my kids and I took it back to get the alignment. After looking up my information they stated "you will have to pay $138 because we didn't do the work and then an additional $120 for the alignment. I literally said "you are going to charge me $130 because you didn't do the work?" Them "yes ma'am". After asking them this twice with them stating again I needed to pay for the work that they didn't complete. Another man said "we have to inspect it."Absolutely believe they tried this because I'm a women with kids and thought I wouldn't question it. Told them no way and left. Do not waste your time. Took my truck to a dealership and no "inspection" required only did the alignment and was good to go Also the dealership was cheaper than Gateway. Do not waste you time or money. They will try to scam you!

(23 Sept 2024) Bumping up my rate to 5 Stars. GREAT staff. Each time I contacted them the staff was friendly and helpful. Dealt with Mike today (sales) and he took care of me and followed up. Tech Calib...spoke with him and he was friendly and helpful. This is going to be my spot for tires going forward. They get you in and get you out. Last thing...alignment spot on.....they could not get it any better than what it is, so I am happy about that. ****** First time dealing with Gateway tire and auto today. I was particularly impressed because the two young ladies at the front desk were very enthusiastic and very helpful. I have been buying tires from Walmart for the last three decades, and when we moved to Memphis. We’ve just got really really really bad service from Walmart. I bought one tire today. I was in at the time they quoted to me, and the price was very reasonable. I’ll be going back in the next week or two to get the rest of my tires done and get in alignment. I’m bump to five stars if they do an awesome job on the alignment always had issues in the past with Pep Boys.

This my second time coming for my tires get worked on and they always messing up my lugs on my car my last time coming on Covington Pike then why will you send somebody car back and you know you done it maybe needs to get another person to do it if he keeps making the same mistake

I arrived 20 minutes after opening, requesting a wheel alignment. David (Sales) instantly said, "We can't do that today". Gateway closes at 5:30pm. Young lady next to him says "We have a lot of cars left over from Saturday." Please don't waste your time or energy going to Gateway Tire for tire services.

I preferred to deal with Terrence. I have been coming to this location for a few years now. I always wait. So I get there at 7:30 in the morning and usually stay for 5 or more hours. I only have the one car and don't want to pay for a rental and the usually expensive maintenance. The maintenance alone is enough. I have started believing that perhaps they fix one thing but break something else because lately not long after having work done something else goes wrong and I'm back again to spend even more money. For example, I had problems with my passenger front power window. I took it there waited as usual hours and was told by the guy called Mario it was all messed up and was given a price of over $1,600.00, yeah ridiculous I know. I ended up taking it somewhere else and paid a little bit over $300.00. I haven't had any problems with that window since. Do you see the difference with what I saved? I am a single mother with a child who has Autism, a veteran, and was a loyal customer who has spent a whole lot of money at that location. This to me is not valuing or respecting loyalty, or at least my loyalty. Honesty is a trait desperately lacking with many of these "businesses". I feel my business, loyalty, and patience was not valued here. So, I will no longer waste my time.

I have coming to this store for at least 15 years. I’ve always been treated respectfully and Terrence has been there as long as I’ve been coming. I’ve never heard him be disrespectful with anyone. The review that belittled him, I would like to hear Terrence’s side.

I have been coming to this particular gateway service center for years and I usually have great service. Today I spoke on the phone with Cheyanne who was helpful and pleasant. She took care of exactly what I needed. When I returned to pay, I spoke with Terrence. He probably shouldn’t speak to customers because his ability to communicate respectfully could use some tuning up. I live within range of several other tire shops. Because of Terrence’s arrogance and dismissiveness, I will no longer patronize this establishment.

I was discount tire customer for over 20 years, but I'm changing to this store due to variety and fast service. I couldn't leave the car over night though

It took 4 hours to get a 15 minute oil change.y car was just sitting in the stall for about an hour & then I saw another car go into the stall get service & back out. You would think they would have someone doing just oil changes so customers won't have to wait as long to get in & out. Every mechanic should know how to do a oil change. He just taking his little time. 1 star is all I have for this store.

My wife and I took our vehicle in this morning at 7:30 to get an estimate and a brake repair. At 12:30, I go back to sit in the lobby and my horn is intermittently chirping (6 times while I was there). I’m thinking “Okay, this is going to drain the new battery I just put in.” So, I go to talk to Terrance, and I get this “I don’t care/what are you talking about” attitude. After a few minutes of conversation and explaining to him that I recorded the intermittent honking, I realized that I can’t get any work completed on our vehicle so I leave. My wife has taken 2 of our car here before and said she was happy with the work. When I returned so that my wife could pick up the car that I drove. She went in and was told that something was probably pushing the button on the key (the same thing I tried to explain to Terrance when I was there - check my key, stop the honking so that my battery isn’t drained). I might try another location.

Requestee and charged for a tire rotation. Tires were not rotated on my truck. I Was a certified wheel and suspension mechanic for 10 years. I know when they was and wasn't done. Ridiculous!!!! When brought up to the service writer he just laughed at us. There wasn't even hand prints on the rims through the dirt come on now no matter if you wear gloves or not theres gonna be evidence the wheels were touched. Gateway will never get any of my business again or anyone i know vehicles either

The ONLY reason why I stopped at this location is because it is 3 minutes from me. I went in for low tire, just needing air and service rep told me it will be 1hr and 30 minutes. For air?? I went to the Gateway on summer and was in and out. This is the reason why I stopped going to this location.

This location is horrible. They slow and they really don't like to help the customer here at the location. The Bartlett location is much better! I also purchased a set of tires at this location and the next day my back tire was already leaking air. These people at your location don't like to do they job. I hate this location.

Your website says you close at 530pm and the door says 5:00pm. Needless to say I had to drive away from this place with a large screw in my tire. Thanks alot
