I was recommended Gene's after moving to a different part of town. Justin diagnosed and repaired my car's alternator on the same day. He explained the issue, the steps needed to repair, and did not attempt to pressure me into additional repairs. The cost of repairs was lower than I expected initially. The only downside is the wait list, since he's fairly booked up! I will definitely be returning for general maintenance and upkeep.

Phenomenal experience at Gene's. First time here and Justin was just the best: funny, cool, honest, and efficient. I hadn't really found a garage yet after my warranty expired and I sure wasn't taken my Camry to Larry Miller. I needed a routine inspection just to make sure everything on my car was running soundly - I've had surprises before and have made an effort to be more pro-active about preventive maintenance. Scheduling was simple, I dropped the car off at 8:00am and picked it up around 3:30 in the afternoon. Justin was great about letting me know what needed to be done (really nothing except routine maintenance) and was good at explaining everything to a very auto-illiterate customer like myself. It's very reassuring to know we've found such a great place so close to home to take our car for as long as we'll be in Albuquerque. If you work at UNM (particularly North Campus area), Gene's is close enough that, for anything minor, you can drop off and walk to work then pick up in the afternoon.

Justin was honest, very fast and efficient! He added little touches like air freshener. Honestly the BEST, most honest mechanic and auto shop I've experienced. Extremely nice and professional. I have told all my fmaily and friends to take their business there.

One of my friends drives down from Taos for car care at Gene's Service Center. That was a glowing enough recommendation for me to trust my car to them. Justin was able to get me in quickly, did not overcharge or sell me on services that weren't needed, and kept me informed through the whole process. I will definitely be back.

They installed a new clutch for me and did not put it in properly. The basically fell out of position while I was driving. not fun. I wrote a bad review when it happened (about a year ago) but I noticed it had been deleted.
