Mike has been a great guy to work with per my friend Ken. He picked up his car, fixed it, and is storing it for him until he can pick it back up. I would absolutely recommend working with Mike.

Traveler's worst nightmare! I'm up in Gaylord for a New Year's Eve wedding, I go to gas up my car for the return home on New Year's Day. And as soon as I put the key in, my check engine light comes on and the car shakes like it's trying out new dance moves. Not good. A trip to Auto Zone confirms it's some small part I've never heard of causing a big problem, but who would be open on New Year's Day to repair it? Turns out there's someone five minutes down the road. The knowledgeable (and personable) guys at Golden Auto Electric got me in, confirmed the diagnosis, ordered the part, and got me on my way within an hour. They also charged a very reasonable price for the job. If you're in need of work, and they can fit you in (I know I got reallllly lucky, there), I'd say give them a try. They turned what could have been an awful car trouble saga into a momentarily-harrowing but ultimately funny story for when I got back home. Thanks, guys!

Got my truck in, took about a week to look at it, and after they sent over the invoice I paid it right online - within an hour or so I received a call saying it's done. Great work, smooth & easy.

Really tired of waiting to hear anything back on our Jeep. It’s a 2016 Jeep Cherokee. We dropped off January 19th 2024 and it’s now February 21rst and Mike has refused to call us back after a dozen phone calls from my boyfriend. I would like to know what’s going on with our vehicle. If you can’t fix it, just say so and give us a call. This is ridiculous. 10/10 do NOT recommend

Golden Auto's phone is off the hook most of the day..making it impossible to talk to anybody or even leave a message. Their 'secrerary' is extremely rude and terrible at communicating what is going on, or where your vehicle is even at. Parts were on back order at first, after many unanswered calls, we went in and the parts were there finally, but nobody thought they should let us know we could bring it in as parts arrived. Finally, over a week later they told us 1 day to fix it and drop it off. It's now day 2 and the secretary was extremely rude when I called to get an update. He also said we missed an appointment, but there was never an appointment set. There was a mention of Monday, but no time or anything. All I ask for is some HONEST communication about where my vehicle is (it was NOT there last night when we drove up yet again to check) and when it will be done. That is something they cannot do. It's very hard to trust a place to fix your car that you use daily to drive out of town for work when they struggle with phone answering and basic communication.

This shop is not out to get you, which is awesome. I went in for a timing chain fix, after they inspected it they realized it was just very low on oil. Instead of doing an $1,100 fix and not telling me, he added oil and sent me on my way FOR FREE. I'll be coming back for all my engine problems for sure. Thank you guys, I really owe you one! Ps. I've been keeping an eye on the oil level, I promise!

We were charged $130 for a diagnostic fee and his diagnostic was wrong. Pretty shady place. We towed our vehicle to a dealership where competent people work. Don’t go here. Just don’t.

I called Golden Auto with a shimmy in my front end, they got me in within a couple days and did my car's brake system all the way around within a few hours. They were very reasonably priced, and even gave me a ride to and from my vehicle. I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a good mechanic at a good price

I don't care if they're short handed or not, after having my vehicle for over a month and a half, it still should have been fixed. I finally picked it up myself and fixed the problem myself. They may be good at what they do, and stringing a customer along is certainly one thing that they excel at. Don't waste your time. Response** - but you did string me along and still didn't fix my vehicle after a month and a half and lied to me that you never talked to me and made an appointment the first time. And still no apology .....

I had hit a deer with my Lincoln. The guys at Golden went above and beyond my expectations to help me. My wife and I were on vacation and Mike and his guys were polite, helpful, and reasonable. I would recommend them to anybody who needs auto repair. Mike kept his word and did what he said he would do. Top drawer guys!

Always helpful and knowledgeable on rebuilding starters and alternators. My employer uses them to rebuild starters etc for our field equipment.. Offers discounts to veterans. Jim is a great guy with an honest business. Also they repair vehicle electrical as well as some mechanical repairs.. My go to place for electrical parts and repairs..
