Got stuck on the side of the road and needed mobile service, got his phone number by recommendation, explained the situation by phone. He said to text him the location and what we need and he will call back. He didn’t. We called again and he said he’ll check now and will call back soon - he didn’t. It’s been 6 hours ago and they’re not working anymore. If you’re not available- it’s okay, but be kind to call back and say so when we are waiting for your call.

I was looking for a reliable diesel shop to work on my Kenworth tractor. I went all over Albuquerque looking but just could not find anyone that I felt confident about until I went to Gomez Diesel and spoke with Mike. He understood my needs and he had the ecpexperience. They installed a new clutch, did an oil change and changed all the filters. They checked the brakes and they installed two new steer tires as we had discussed and a number of other things that were needed. The price for all of this was pretty fair and there were no surprises. I would definitely recommend this shop for any mechanical needs.

Talked to Mike about 9 months ago gave me a quote on having him put some injectors put in and id supply the injectors and he gave me a reasonable quote then when I called him he gave me a quote that was quadruple what he quoted me and I talked to another shop but he's 3 months booked I told Mike what the other shop quoted me he coughed up a attitude and said take it to the others guy sad part is I know people who know this guy and the mountain view community garden use this guy, I talked to 4 other shops and got quotes and I told them what I was quoted by Mike they all said that is sky high quote, I'll spread the word how he treats customers and how he tried to take advantage of me, this is not how you run a business

Gomez Diesel Service has treated us so well! My husband and I were towing our fifth wheel when our truck broke down on the side of the interstate at 4:30am. We tried so many services and Mike was the first person we spoke with and we knew immediately he was the guy for the job. He was able to come out and tow our truck to his shop and he also had his son tow our fifth wheel to the campground we had just come from. Mike was very knowledgeable and explained everything well. He has worked on diesel engines for 47 years! We are very grateful for him and would definitely give him our business in a heartbeat! Very honest, hardworking owner!

Had to replace the starter and fan clutch solenoid on Peterbilt 389. Nice guy, pro and quick on diagnostic and parts picking. Much better experience than any big shop out there. Don’t hesitate to give it a try. It’s worth your time and money. Takes company credit card over the phone. Had to drop the trailer at the gate.

Experienced and considerate! My truck broke down by the Carls Jr during my cross country road trip with my wife, newborn baby and puppy. It was about 3 degrees outside and my heater wasn’t working. Just by chance I happened to break down one of the few if not only diesel mechanics around. The owner was going to go home but as I told him my situation, no questions asked he brought 2 tow trucks. One for my truck and one for the trailer I was towing. Within minutes of getting to the shop he had already figured out what was wrong with my truck, my heater, and other issues that prior mechanics hadn’t caught in the past. He fixed them as he went along. I didn’t even have to ask him to do things, he went out of his way to make sure my truck was good to go for the rest of my trip and that my newborn baby would be safe and warm. He took time out of his day away from his family just to make sure mine was okay, then even asked me how much I wanted to pay. Honestly no amount of money could pay off the service he had done for me and my family. Amazing shop, amazing mechanics and I honestly wish I had them where I was moving to next. Went from CA to NM where I broke down, and I’m already almost to Florida with no issues since they’ve had their hands on my truck!

Had my cummins engine rebuilt by this company was told it would be 2 months when I finally got my truck back it took 10 months within the first 2 days of getting it back I put in another $700 to correct multiple problems including adding oil to correct adding antifreeze was told my a/c was blowing cold it never worked when I was even in their parking lot temperature gauge no longer works and found several loose bolts and clamps the truck now has 5000 miles on it and the new transmission hose they put on is loose and damaged with the work done on my truck I can't afford to have them warranty anything if I took it back it would be another 10 months I am very disappointed in the quality of work that cost me over $8000 do yourself a favor and shop around you get what you pay for

I recommend Gomez Diesel anytime. Mr. Gomez fixed our F350 in 1 day. We took our truck to another diesel auto shop on Coors NW they had it for a week and didn't fix it right. They couldn't figure it out and Mr Gomez actually worked on it himself and figured it out in 1 day. Now it runs beautifully. Thank you Mr. Gomez. You treat your customers like family.🙂👍

A diesel mechanic told me I needed a $300 part to correct my problem. Mike Gomez listened to my problem, told me the other mechanic had diagnosed the problem incorrectly and replaced a $28 part and I drove away a happy customer. Finally a good and trustworthy mechanic, I've recommended to my friends and who is now working on all my vehicles, R. Lauts of Albuquerque, thank you Gomez mechanic and body shop, had my truck painted, looks new again.

While traveling on the interstate, my Cummins diesel truck lost power. Did a quick search on my phone and I picked Gomez because it sounded like a “pop” shop and was close. They got right to work and even let me drop my camper off in their yard since their business is crowded. It was a dirty fuel filter, thank God, an easy fix! I thank him and his friendly family!

Great place and very reasonable prices. Mike and his staff went above and beyond to replace our radiator in our class a motorhome when we were overheating driving thru Albuquerque. Our motorhome is our home and Mike made sure things were done as quick as could be but also done correctly. He even washed it when done. Mike and all his staff were fun, friendly and very courteous. It's great to know there are still people out there who care about the quality of their work and their customers. Thank you again Mike, and Juan for all you did.

Mr. Gomez came out early this morning to see what the problem was with my converted school bus. One mobile mechanic company told me it was my fuel injector and wanted $1350!!! Well Mr. Gomez was here 15 minutes and had my bus running. As it turned out it was a blue fuse that cost $10 or less! He will be my mechanic as long as I'm in ABQ! An honest man! He even gave me a ride to the ATM. Its nice to know there are some good people you can call on.

If I could give these guys 10 stars they would have it. I bought a truck there in town sight unseen. Long story short it was not in running condition and I had a guy flown in to drive it home over 15 hours away. Mike and his team cleared their schedules and worked their butts off to get it up and running ASAP. I highly recommend them. They are smart Mechanics, trustworthy, and have VERY reasonable prices. They exceeded my expectations by far.
