Avoid avoid avoid. I took my vehicle 2017 WRX STI in to do a simple Clutch, Flywheel, Pressure plate and throttle bearing replacement by ACT. ( High quality race performance stuff) If you don't feel like reading everything, in summary this man blew my transmission up, along with brand new parts I put into my car, Scratched my paint, and had my car in his shop for over 5 months. Costing me thousands upon thousands of dollars in damages. This man needs his license revoked... I tipped him initially $150 for his time the first time around. His time management and communication skills are terrible. But he said he was struggling with my car. I felt bad and tipped him. . Took my car home and ran errands, 2 hours later car blew up and was stranded in Taylor. Towed it back, demanded him to fix it. 5 months of lies and failed promises and I was forced to take it to another shop, where they had to RETAP sockets because he stripped crucial parts. Re order parts he lost, make a custom bracket for my transmission. Buy tons of replacement parts because of this man's incompetents... Fun fact, manual transmission parts are extremely hard to find these days. Especially for an STI. Thanks Joe, you absolute dingus. Huge shout-out for D&K automotive for willing to help me out with this headache. They were transparent , honest, fast and I will be buying them all lunch when I win this lawsuit... They were able to put my car back together, RETAP screws, weld and do a bunch of stuff in under a MONTH. I had to buy the same parts again and this entire process has cost me THOUSANDS of dollars. Joe gave me a box of screws and a half put together car. Dude didn't even put the suspension back on, so toeing it was ever so lovely.... Avoid this place. This place has effected not only my livelihood, but my ability to make income within my buisness. I will be sueing the shop here very soon. I am 22, and yet somehow... I'm a more professional, honest and a better business owner than joe and his shop.... If you had your car worked on. I highly HIGHLY recommend you take it to another shop to look at it...

I recommend this business. The service was great and fast. The owner Joe came in on his off day to repair my car in a time of need. If you’re looking for a local mechanic shop, this is the place to go! Ask for Joe!

I honestly took the car in because it was having problems, so I trusted this guy based on all the positive reviews. I paid about $900 for it, and then the car started to fall again, as if he hadn't done anything at all.so i took it in again for another $700 This time, the car sounded like a loud V8 BUT it is an MDX 3.6-liter engine so that couldn't be good. He claims to have replaced some parts, but after taking it to another mechanic, he realized that wasn't true and told me everything that's wrong and even sead somethings were an easy fix , UNBELIEVABLE DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE ASK FRIENDS FOR GOOD Recommendations anywhere else , IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT JUST SAY SO MAN DON'T ROB PEOPLE

**This year 2023, business owner J. Gonzalez sold his businesses to his lead mechanic (Edgar), and the new name is SunCity Automotive.** Service is on point, and the price is reasonable. I highly recommend this shop for any automotive work.

Tried to get information about who I should talk to about an engine warranty. Owner was argumentative and confrontational for no reason. Go anywhere else. You'll be better off.

My father attempted to repair his car. Simple enough repair. Was told that it would be ready in two days due to the part needing to be ordered. So we wait. 6 DAYS PASS. No part, no repair, nothing. Then they mechanic and owner (brothers) try to turn it on my father and refuse to fix the car. Needless to say, if you have a repair, go somewhere else.

First time going to Gonzales automotive and will definitely be a repeat customer when the time comes! Very appreciative how they worked with me on scheduling to get my breaks done. Everyone was nice and professional and they did a great job. Extremely impressed with how quickly they worked while maintaining the integrity of their work!
