My girlfriend and I took a trip to N.E. Philly to visit our daughter and take her dog to the vet for her. On the way to the appointment a transmission warning light started flashing in our car. The vet recommended Grant Auto Repair--highly. She said "I love 'em. They're great." So that's where we went. They earned our highest recommendation too! They ARE great. Beyond helpful. And compared to the Dealership we use at home, I found Grant A.R. to be just as knowledgeable. But more reasonable--by hundreds of dollar in this case. They don't have the fancy waiting room with the coffee, but there are plenty of other places for that nearby. I told the service tech (Charles) we were hoping to drive home to Harrisburg early the next day if the transmission could handle it. He said if we'd give him about two hours, the lift would be free and he could check it out. Two hours later Charles called. He had detailed diagnostic and road-test results. He'd checked the fluid and checked for leaks. Plus ID'd an unrelated noise we were barely even aware of (front left hub--not loose but time to replace). He explained the transmission was still operational, but was starting to shift less smoothly, and that the dashboard warning would stay on until a new part (valve body) was installed. He had even checked factory warranty info. He said the car was good for our trip home the next day, but if we wanted to stay in town an extra night he had quotes for the valve body and hub replacements. We opted to drive home, and made it with no problems. Took the car to the dealer the day after; they confirmed everything Charles had found to a T--except the pricing! Wish we had hung out at our daughter's a little longer. We found Grant Auto Repair to be honest, professional, thorough, super helpful--and reasonable!!

Their drivers suck, one got road rage and almost hit me like 3 separate times in mechanicsburg pa.

PAY ATTENTION TO THOSE NEGATIVE REVIEWS I brought my BMW here because I had a coolant leak, and after 3 different visits, the issue on the car got worse, it's like they were playing guessing games with my car, I got frustrated and took my car to another shop that could solve the problem.

These guys are great!!! Had an issue with my car took it to them… issue was diagnosed within hours and car was done following day. Excellent service good people all the way around I won’t be going anywhere else! Thanks again Dave!!

ive been sending my car to this place for years. first it was my 535. they did an engine swap when the rod bearings failed. did an amazing job and also found a low mileage engine with warranty. they provided proof for everything and stood by their work. they I began to mod they car. they put in a downpipe, charge pipe, bigger intercooler, intake, Coilovers etc along with some carbon bits I had ordered. these guys did an amazing job. now I have a m5 which they had been great to. they found a few issues throughout the months. replaced injectors, ambient temp sensor, and a couple of other things. I highly recommend this business.

Brought my 335 here for a walnut blasting. A couple hours after dropping it off I was already getting texts and videos about the car. They sent videos of what the valves looked like before and after the cleaning, which I wasn’t expecting. It’s really nice to get visual updates on your car when it’s getting work done. Amazing prices and car runs amazing! Definitely coming back here!!

I recently visited a Grant Auto Repair shop and had an excellent experience. Charlie, the mechanic, was incredibly knowledgeable and demonstrated expertise in European car models. He swiftly diagnosed and resolved the issues with my vehicle, explaining everything clearly along the way. The shop itself was well-equipped and the staff friendly. I highly recommend this repair shop, especially Charlie, for their exceptional service.

So I Been taking the same car to them since 2017 , they always fix my car up and it never breaks down. Professional European car mechanics so your Japanese car is peace a cake for them.

Inspection completed, even though the headlight is still out, & the vehicle is still making noise. CLEARLY the basics weren't even checked, and It was done in a fashion to make a quick buck. Will never return and suggest no one go here.
