Been taking my company vehicle and my personal car. All the guys at the shop have taken time to chat with me, joke with me and most of all always been able to help me out in a timely manner! I was given helpful options about a panel leak I have, they gave me a battery jump, they’ve put my skid plate back on I can’t even count how many times anymore. I’m extremely happy with the service! Thanks again guys!

I went here to get an oil change only because I forgot to make an appointment ahead of time at the place I normally get an oil change and they were fully booked for days. Grease Monkey allows walk-ins with same day service, so I thought I would give it a try. The oil change was double the price I pay for at the place I take my car normally, but I was willing to pay a more since I was due for an oil change. Big mistake. At my next oil change at my usual place, I was told that Grease Monkey put the engine oil drain plugs on too tight and stripped my oil pan. I went to a third place that confirmed my oil pan was stripped. A new oil pan for my car would have cost over $900 and had to be ordered from out of town so it would have taken days. I went with the option of them fixing the oil pan which was still over $500. So getting an oil change here cost me over $500 in damages, not to mention the overpriced oil change. Never again. Use at your own risk!

I started going to Grease Monkey when I lived in Illinois and was always happy with the service. So when I moved to Tucson, it was a no brainer to continue here. The people who work at the Grease Monkey on Speedway are always kind and wonderfully friendly. I’ve only had to wait a couple of times to get in, and I’m usually out in 10-15 minutes. They never try to sell me something I don’t need, but will show me the parts they feel need replacing so I can decide. They don’t do full mechanics, but they keep an eye on my brakes, etc. My last car made it to over 225,000 miles, and my Prius is still going strong at 203,750 miles. Thanks.

I’ve been getting oil changes here for the last 4-5 years. Tom and his team are good people. It says a LOT about a business when the same employees have been there for that long. I have shopped around at other quick oil change places in the past and never really felt any of them were honest. So until I found this particular Grease Monkey location, I didn’t have a solid “place” for my vehicle. This team cares that your vehicle is working and safe, and I appreciate that. Sometimes I have my dog with me too, they love dogs. And we know you can often tell a person’s character by how they treat animals!

Tom and his team at Grease Monket on Speedway in Tucson have been taking care of my vehicles for 17 years. They do GREAT WORK and pay careful attention to warning signs like small leaks. My personal vehicle has over 200,000 miles on the odometer and it runs great. I drive 1000 mile round trip several times a year and have never had a maintenance issue on a trip. .

Cons: Was very expensive, more so than any oil change I've ever had done. They also incorrectly re-installed my cabin air filter after removing it. And they tried to up-sell me on service I had very recently completed (rear diff service). Pros: Was fairly fast and less busy than other shops.

My friend showed up at my house several hundred miles from Tucson. As he was backing out of my driveway, the splash guard dropped and started scraping on the ground. Which was great, because then we discovered all of the clips holding it onto the car had been removed, as well as the radiator spacer and the clips holding on the front of the car. Now, I can't be super sure it wasn't like that before he went there, but it wouldn't have made it very far like that. We bought clips at Harbor Freight and started putting it all back together. Which turned out ot be a good thing, because I noticed oil dripping from the oil drain plug. I was able to turn it with just my fingers, it had not been tightened and was dripping oil. It would have let go on the road and his engine would have seized. So next I checked the oil level, it was fine, but it smelled like gas or something similar, and was red. So we drained all of the weird, red oil out of his crankcase and replaced it with regular yellowish oil that didn't smell like gas. The oil they used had a little grip to it, like transmission fluid. Oil should be slippery. So yeah I wouldn't go there at all, and if we had evidence of them taking the clips out of his car, or if his engine had seized, there would defintiely be a lawsuit.
