I recently bought a used vehicle with a broken passenger seatbelt. Finding an OEM, and even after market, replacement part has been like finding a needle in a haystack. Called these guys and even though seatbelt repair is not their speciality, they took the time to help me find an option that I was unable to find myself. I’m extremely grateful.

Warm and friendly service, went in for a headlight replacement and they finished efficiently and quick so I could get on with my day. They didn’t try to nickel and dime me like Nissan does. Mario and the team have treated me like royalty at this shop. They are honest, precise, and thorough. They catch issues that can turn wrong later so you don't end up paying for expensive problems later. They are truly leading the automotive industry in San Diego. their prices are great, and they work with imports which Is why I bring my 2002 xkr jaguar to them. I recommend you keep your car in routine care with them, but also trust them to get you on the road with solid repair work.

I got my car inspected - they missed the only thing that I knew for a fact was wrong with my car before bringing it in. The quotes they did give me (some for real things, some for the silly upsells) were absolutely ludicrous. By way of example, they wanted $105 in labor to replace an air filter. It's five minute's work, if you don't know what you're doing. If you do, it's *maybe* two minutes.

I have been taking my cars there for years. The staff is transparent and takes the time to explain what work is needed. I always recommend this shop to friends because their customer service and knowledge is top notch!

My first time ever using this business. With all the untrustworthy shops we can easily stumble on , Griffiths turned out to earn my trust. Service advisor Mario was outstanding and one of the main reasons they will continue to earn my business. We were troubleshooting an a/c issue. Part was ordered and changed out. We thought we nay need yet a second part...that was ordered as well and I was to return to have that installed. In the meantime, the a/c began to operate as required and so I asked Mario whether to return to have the 2nd ordered part installed. Normally a shop after your money would have had me running back regardless. Not this place. Mario said he would hold the part a few days so that we had time to make sure the a/c continued running and no other issues arose. A few days later I recieved a text msg from Mario asking if all was still running ok. When I assured him it was running very well, we decided ok to return that 2nd part. UNHEARD OF in this day & age that you have a shop look out for a customer they way Griffith did. Highly recommend these folks and I mean highly. Excellent service 👏

Griffins is the worst Auto repair place that I ever went to. I took my Mercedes SL 550 there. They said they replaced the auxiliary battery. I paid them in full about $650. They called me after I left and told me they hadn’t replaced the battery and to return the following Monday. When I returned I found out they had the wrong auxiliary battery. They don’t have a clue. Go there at you own peril. They will never see me again!

I highly recommend this place for your repair needs. Being a girl in her 20s it’s hard to find a trustworthy place that will just do what is needed without up charging you. I needed to get my brakes replaced and Dwayne was very helpful and gave me the most affordable quote. They even give discounts for AAA members. I will be back when I’m needed for another repair!

I took my 2012 Volvo s60 to Griffin’s auto repair shop in San Diego a few weeks ago for a turbo gasket issue based on a referral. They have Volvo specialists on staff that figured out right away what the issues I had with my car were and came up with solutions that fit my budget and worked. They were even able to quickly correct some brake issues made by another shop’s technicians that weren’t experienced with Volvos where they turned the rotors (which is a no-no) which gave me the feeling as if the brakes would fail in an emergency. Griffin’s was well aware of this issues as well as other Volvo issues and fixed it quickly at a reasonable price. They work very fast and even though the shop is located in the downtown area, their labor rates are competitive to others. With all that said, I recommend Griffin’s and will continue to use their services for my Volvo

Had a fuse problem with my 2013 sonata hybrid, and was looking at potentially having to buy the safety plug AND relay because the dealer said they couldn't sell separately (>$1000!!). Well, Griffin's got it done, got the fuse and now it's ready to be picked up! All in just about 24 hrs! AAA verified too, ask for Dwain!

I came to Griffin's Auto Repair after seeing the good reviews this place had online earlier this month to get a check engine light looked at. The technicians ran their diagnostic and did further troubleshooting and told me what the issue was with the vehicle. We agreed on a price and what steps they were going to take to address the issue. I called them the follow day to get a status of my vehicle and ask a couple questions ofwhat was getting fixed. After asking the questions the guy on the phone rudely replied that he had already explained to me what it was. When I was tried to confirm to him what I understood that was being repaired he did not give any explanation and rudely replied "NO". He proceeded to say that the issue that we discussed was not the problem and wanted to charge me an additional feeto fix the actual issue. I decided not to do that. Later on I discover after driving around that they left their tool and a bolt in the between the space of my windshield and the hood of my car. I am a veteran and was very disappointed with my experience, the repair done and the lack of tool control.

I took my 1966 VW Beatle in for what I thought was a main oil seal leak. They diagnosed the car and found that the leak was from the boot seals (less money on the repair)...I also had them adjust the valves and an oil change, the car is running better now since I've own it...best of all their mechanic noticed my turn signals and brake lights were not working properly and diagnosed/repaired my wiring (per my authorization). They were able to do this service the same day... I am not a mechanic, I do recognize genuine professionalism and care for the craft. I am going back for more service in the future.

Its like the boss boy here knows who's driving in with deep pockets and manipulative with "professionalism". If you get a small talk, defensive conversation with him, he assumes you're broke and will do everything to make you want to walk away. Zero intention of helping or negotiating. If you pull in with a fancy car youll most likely meet a totally different person than i just described. 💰 Good Luck!

My 2000 Ford taurus was overheating and they got me in right away. Turns out its behind the timing plate and my belt needs replaced as well. Its not the cheapest but they are all certified mechanics so my total bill was $1840 and they did give me a.ride home and said the car would be done in 24 hours. They were really helpful and super fast. Other mechanics wouldn't have finished in 3 days but I need to drive for work in order to be paid, so having my car done quickly was a HUGE Value for me. You should definitely check them out if you need mechanical work done on your vehicle.

So I had some issues with my Volvo and I needed a good place to get it checked out. The team here is fantastic. They communicate with you every step of the way, explain what they are going to do and what they are going to take care of. They are fast and very professional. The work that they did for me was several thousands of dollars less than the estimates I got from the Volvo dealer. And to top it off they even corrected items that the dealer could not fix or did wrong in the first place Thanks guys, you have a great crew.

They said they were going to replace my alternator with a new one and they needed to drop my engine to do it. $2000+ later my car still had issues. It ran, but they missed OBVIOUS problems that ultimately fried the electrical system and almost caught fire. My wires were so hot the insulation melted off them and my battery literally started boiling when driven. They didn’t even replace my alternator with a new one!!! Way over priced, not trustworthy at ALL. Had to spend another $2000 to fix it.

Watch out! They won’t honor their warranty They always add a back door in like they did with me saying the problem still exists. They told me they put on a new transmission but it was used When it broke again a few months later they held my car for over two months and then refused to work on it or honor the warranty when I finally got upset They’re extremely rude Maybe there’s a change of ownership here because these other reviews are far from my experience Notice how so many of the good reviews are from "Local Guide". I'm guessing they're paying for reviews. This place is a scam. Don't take your car here

I give them two stars because they told me that the issue with my car was the AC and the compressor so I paid to have it changed and filled. But my AC doesn’t get super cold. Aside from that ever since they worked on my car, my horn is completely muffled. I sent them a message, but I got ghosted.
