Just recently had new wheels and tires installed on Monday here. Dave and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were quick, professional, and precise. Even dismounted my old tires and wheels for me. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for top quality service and parts

I do not recommend this shop , I paid to have front end leveled and aligned , there alignment was a drive a round the block , I sat a watched them do this , now my truck pulls to the left , don’t waist your money there.

I had a fast leak in my tire and I made it to this location and all the bay doors were open. I asked if someone can help with changing my tire or selling me tires and they informed me they closed 20 minutes before I pulled and couldn’t help me. I offered $50 cash to put my spare on and was told no. I understand they were closed I just don’t understand why they couldn’t show some customer service and help a stranded motorist especially since they were all still working. I sat in the parking lot until my son showed up an hour later to put my spare on so I could get home.

If i could leave a negative star I would. I parked in handicap as my daughter is handicap and attends the daycare next door… before going into this business i was going to grab her and come inside as there business the store manager came outside rudely and informed me i couldn’t park in handicap… and he owns the parking lot and he would tow. me keep in mind i have a handicap plate… This was my first time interacting with this company... and it was very HORRIBLE and RUDE… the man discriminated my families disability and was a horrible rude interaction… before i could even try this company out… please don’t waste your time here

I went into Gunnell's at Gilbert Rd in Mesa after work one evening and told them I had an oil leak . Told them I just want it fixed . I was told to bring my car and drop it off the following day. I made arrangements to have my daughter pick me up there but, when I got there the guy hurd me calling my daughter and told me I did not need picked up he only had a 30min slot he saved for me. I said how will it be fixed in 30 min? He said the needed to do a diagnostics check in it, that would be $39.00. That $39.00 would be put towards the repair when they fox it. I was upset that it was not going to be repaired like I what I had asked for but I went ahead and payed the $ . When I got my car back in exactly 30 min all I was told was that it needed further diagnostics on it. That's it nothing more. So I gave them $39.00 to tell me it leaked oil when that's what I told them when I brought it in. They did nothing but take my money.

Just took my son's car in for an oil change, and was told there was a slice in one tire and the rubber was cracking on the rest. They also said the battery was 6 years old and needed replacing. I just inspected the tires and no slice or cracking...and the battery tested fine. Buyer beware, they will try to upsell you needlessly. So sad.

Recently I have the tire replacement at the store for 2017 Ford Fusion. Everything was good except an mishap. One of the lug nut was broke and fall inside the rotor causing noise. However, they work with me and reimbursement for the cost of replacement of the rotor. Jason is the one working me to resolve the issue. I WILL CONTINUE COME BACK TO SUPPORT BUSINESS even though the first job was not go as smooth as it should be.

Update…got ripped off on the starter. It cost no more than 100 dollars and I was charged 332. They said my horn needed all kinds of stuff to work. It was just a bad horn 95 dollars. They quoted over 500. These folks are crooks. I will never return or recommend them. I had an issue with my Jeep after off-roading. It would not start and I had driven through a muddy puddle. I had the jeep towed to the shop. I was out of town for this whole ordeal at the VA in Prescott. First off the guy that helped me was very rigid and rude. After an inspection he said it needed a starter. I approved this. Later he called and said the starter got the jeep running but I needed a new engine. WTH? I couldn’t afford the 10K they quoted for that so I just paid for the starter and labor which was over 500.00 dollars. I had no idea they were going to charge that. I can’t even find a starter that cost the 350 they charged. I had the Jeep towed back home until I finished treatment in Prescott. This last week I had the Jeep towed to the dealership in Gilbert. The motor is fine and runs solid It was just overheating and needed some new cooling parts. I’m so glad I got a second opinion. I’ve read some other reviews and I see that others have been charged way more than needed. My best friend used to take her car there for repeated oil changes, but stopped going because a certain worker there was very rude and talks down to people. Very disappointed with this company.

I stopped by here for the first time today after realizing I had a flat tire. I went in to get it repaired or possibly replaced, I was in and out within 30 mins! Laura was very friendly and helpful, and so was the rest of the staff that helped me today. I overall had a great experience and now know where to go if I have any other issues!

They were able to repair a tire that I bought a year ago from them and was told from Firestone that it was not repairable.. They truly know what their doing! Will never go anywhere else...

I told them to take a look at my rear tail light which had moisture in it, do an oil change, and check out a very loud creaking as I turn the wheel. They told me they didn’t hear the creaking noise at all… impossible. Told me I had an oil leak that would cost 5 or 6k to fix because they would have to tear out my engine. My second opinion found nothing of the sorts when actively looking for this oil leak!! Then they ordered a new tail light for 200 dollars without even consulting me. They called me after the fact and I told them no thanks as they continued to make me feel bad that the tail light was already there and ordered. I did the oil change here that was fine then took my car immediately somewhere else.

I can finally breathe easy since switching to Gunnell's for all my tire and auto service needs. My last mechanic was good until I got a truck, then they seemed to think I could be ripped-off at every visit, it was ridicules... My last visit (to the other *Bad* guys) was estimated to be a $7,000+ fix, but Gunnell's found the real issue and fix it for just over $700. - Yep, I saved about $6,300 by getting another opinion and going with Gunnell's! That was about two years ago and after a few more visits (fixes, theft, & maintenance), my truck and wallet have never been happier. Bring your Ferrari or POS in, you'll be amazed by The Gunnell's Teams respect, quality of work, and customer service. I know I am, ever time I visit!

After reading other reviews of this place and others talking about the manager Steve I feel like I have to chime in. My story... I have an older volvo 240 that I wanted to replace the springs and shocks on. Stop in there one day and ask the younger guy at the desk if I ordered the shocks and springs that were designed specifically for my car if they were able to do the install. They said they usually don't install customer parts which I expected but said since it was specifically for the car they could do it with no warranty and just the hourly rate. Super nice guy and I was super pumped. It took a few months for the parts to come in and so when they did I go back in. I talk to the nice lady at the front and tell her the situation. She told me they usually don't do that but I could talk to Steve the manager. Here walks over the most arrogant, pitiful excuse of a human I've ever met. He immediately says nope no way. So I explain the conversation I had previously. He then responds why would you buy parts you can't install yourself. I'm sitting here thinking to myself isn't that why you guys even have a job? He then goes well we'll do it and there won't be any warranty which I was fine with. I then ask about a good time to bring it in and he starts saying how there is a big chance they are going to damage my vehicle and it's not going to be of any priority for them and may just sit for a while unless one of their mechanics feels like getting it done. At this point I'm like no way I'm leaving my vehicle at this place with this guy. I've previously had work performed at this location on my Tacoma but will never be returning. OWNER IF YOU ACTUALLY READ THESE FIRE THIS GUY! You have lost out on maintaining our four vehicles and he is costing you money and doing this great place a disservice. If you want over the top service go to gunnels on main. They blow this location out of the water and make you feel appreciated and like family. If I could give this location negative stars I would based just on this guy Steve.

First off, I got recommended this place for the price by a mechanic we've gone to for years. I call this place to make an appointment and get a price. I drop my car off and I'm told it may not be fixable because of "such and such", then when I say I don't understand. The man behind the counter just says "I know you don't" and takes my keys. I should have taken my business elsewhere at that point but I let it go. I come back after an hour and they tell me that it's more than the price I was told over the phone. I simply start asking questions and the two men working there started telling me "it has always been this price" and "check your phone you called the wrong number" and "your mechanic lied to you". I paid their overcharged price but I will never be going back to Gunnell's again. The worst customer service.

HORRIBLE AND SHADY SHOP PRACTICES!! BEWARE. TAKE YOUR TRUCK TO THE OTHER GUNNELLS ON MAIN. both started by the same family but not both owned by the same family anymore. I took my truck here by mistake thinking it was the same as the other location but it's not by far. Took my truck in for an alignment and was told within 10 minutes they could not do it because my ball joints were bad and my steering bar was bent. They still forced me to pay 80 dollars to get my truck!! 80 dollars for 10 minutes of their time to do nothing...... they told me they did nothing more then move my tire and felt it had to much play in it and knew it was ball joints. Didn't even take apart the wheels to be sure. I took my truck to the other gunnells and they told me how shady of a practice that is take someone's money for such a small thing and that they must not even know lifted trucks because there is nothing wrong with my steering bar....... beyond that there manager Steve is the rudest person I've ever met. Tried to have me leave with no estimate. Didn't put any prices on my estimate so he could change the price later and yelled at me when I asked for it and told me he was doing me a favor by not charging me the full 130 for the hour my truck was supposed to be there!? Really.... this place doesn't deserve anyone's business treating people like that and really don't know what they are doing. Would give 0 stars if i could. DONT TRUST THEM

I couldn't believe how expensive the price of tires is. Gunnell's was $25 cheaper than Discount. $515 for two new tires in October 2023. Apparently the price of tires has gone up 71% FASTER than inflation. Not Gunnell's fault, but... just craziness.

Made an appointment for an oil change, arrived on time. The team was friendly and courteous. My wait was maybe about twenty minutes while they took care of everything. They rotated my tires without having to be asked. Cheaper than a chain oil change center! Thanks, team!

We always take our dually truck here for oil changes. I called on a Saturday for an appointment for an oil change on my small Class C RV. They got me scheduled right away but told me it would probably take a couple hours. When I showed up for my appointment they were fast & friendly, and their prices were reasonable. Got me out in less than an hour with no hassles. Great service!
