I have a 2018 escalade that the lifters malfunctioned (its a known problem with them) and i had taken it to a local dealership. I was offered to replace with a new motor, i opted for them to look into the engine and just see if they could replace the worn parts. After they looked at it they said they could not because the area were the lifter is was scratched and the cam was bad. Not feeling i had a choice i told them to replace with a new motor, they then told me that they had just sold it and they can't get another one for about a year. We called every where and we could not find one other than used. I then called a strictly engine place and they told me they don't do this type of work but they can recommend hammerhead. I called John and he asked me for pictures of the"scratches" in the lifter area. He then told me that they don't look bad and if i can get the block to him and he could get a better look. Once i got it there he had his machine shop guy go by and take a look and he said that he could clean it up and that every thing was within tolerance. He was confident that he could fix it no problem and let me tell you he did. I had so much truoble with the dealership and they sent the whole engine in so many pieces i doubted it would ever run again. John had it going in a few days and i took my family to colorado the next day in it. It ran prefect, i almost want to say the best its ever ran. I almost can't believe how nice it's running. So long story short i am so happy i found hammerhead and John, he was responsive and really quick and very knowledgeable. If anyone has the issue with the escalade that changes betwen 8 and 4 cylinder i would not hasitate to go see John. I wish i would have found him before as i had to pay the dealership to remove my engine and not really have a resolution for me. Sorry so long but i felt john was deserving of it being that he was able to quickly and confidently fix my major problem, im placing a picture as how john received parts of my engine from the dealership. I would 100 percent recommend

No nonsense auto repair. Kurt is quick honest and will get you the best deal on parts and he guarantees his work for 12 months. I have taken my vehicles to a lot of mechanics and Hammerhead by far is the best.

Hammered Auto is the best shop in Albuquerque. Not only is he reasonably priced he knows Chevrolet vehicles. He had found the root cause of my mechanical issue and had my vehicle back to me by the end of the day. I would like to thank the crew at Hammerhead automotive for their excellent work.

John and Kirt are 2 of the finest, honest guys in the repair business!! I bring no less than 3 cars a week!! No issues and always on time!!! Highly recommend from another car guy that has been in business for 30 years!! Thanks for all y'all do!!

With today's astronomical prices it's nice to be able to take your automobile into a shop where they do excellent work and don't overcharge you. If you go there ask for Jonathan great guy, very trustworthy.
