I went to get my car wash today, it was complimentary because a month ago they didn't do a good job so the owner Raffi, apologized and said it would be on him the next time I come back. What happened next was not expected. The car was run through the wash once and when it came out it was still dirty in some areas. Fortunately, Raffi was on site so I showed him that the car wasn't clean. He told his worker to clean the car better. After the worker was done I looked it over and noticed some areas that had been missed and dirty. The owner Raffi sees me and says, " if you don't like the work here then don't come back, you are bothering us"! So to this I say to the next person who wants to pay for a good job on your car, DON'T COME HERE ! If you want a place that stands behind their work and doesn't try to sell you a $200 plus dollar wax job so that then your car will look good, DON'T COME HERE! If you don't want someone to be rude to you, DON'T COME HERE! If you could care less how the car looks and money is like water to you, COME HERE!

Does a pretty good job cleaning but doesn't remove water spots well... Vacuums are generally pretty strong and it's roomy and convenient to use

RUINED MY CAR - DO NOT GO - I don’t like writing negative reviews and I feel bad because the employees are so kind, but they RUINED my car. It was admittedly not in great shape prior, since it’s a 2006, but as you can see in the photos it is now completely covered with scratches that absolutely were not there before. It’s very clearly from the drive through car wash. I spent $250 total. I went back in the next day to show them what happened, and one guy sprayed the hood with some sort of oil that made it look a little better, but by the next day all of the scratches were back. Save your car, don’t go here. I took my car somewhere else and they said the damage was irreversible.

Paid $100 and they gave me back a still dirty car. Like they didn't bother vacuuming the back seat at all and there's still marks all over the cupholders.

This place sucks my fiancé paid good mo way to get his car detailed today and they did a crappy job! Why does anyone go here. Armin finally stopped trying to UPSELL us but geez 🙄 this place sucks hard ! Not worth the money

It’s one of the cheapest here in town considering its expensive location. The vacuum is not good but u can ask to have it done again & they will do. Just examine & do request if not satisfied… Towel boy after for tipping. There’s express wash but not the cheapest & doesn’t require towel boy & no vacuum…

The manager explained that the “tunnel” was out of order, which is why they had to hand-wash my car and why it took forever. Would have been nice if they told me in the first place. I didn’t plan to spend the afternoon there.

I should have read the reviews before dropping $170 on a detail here. Soooo disappointing. I feel completely robbed and bamboozled, the worker convinced me to get the $170 treatment for what I was asking for. I saw a lot of nice cars coming through so I assumed it would be a quality service, but I was wrong. This isn’t the place for ANY detailing service. They didn’t get any details of my Lexus. While the outside of my car was very clean/spotless but my interior was barely touched (which other reviews are complaining about). I had to ask them to vacuum the trunk space and wipe the inside doors. On my way home, I noticed my console and cup holders were still dirty. So I decided to take vaccum and finish the interior myself to the best of my ability. It’s a shame because I don’t have all the tools for detailing and getting into the nooks and crannies. This is the last time I’ll ever pay for a detailing service. Will buy the stuff to do it on my own. Not worth it AT ALL. Save your money- go with the cheapest wash/vacuum here. I bet I would have gotten the same service had I paid for the $30 service.

Damaged wiper blade. When I returned to discuss problem the manager called me a lier stating the problem could have occurred anytime and was nothing to do with them. Disgusting response and dreadful service. I will never return I assure you

Terrible car wash and service, when you ask to speak with a manager about how bad the service is you get yelled at and told to find another car wash. Don't waste your money here you'll only pay to get your car back dirty.

Car wash isn’t bad but feels like they are trying to scam you. Have a website clearly linked to everything online. They provide coupons but won’t accept them. So they use the promo to get you in the door, then won’t take coupons. Very scam behavior. They had time to make a full sign, they can change the site…

I'm very disappointed and I'm no longer a customer. I've been going to Handy J's on and off for over 15 years and was very happy with their services in the past. I noticed that their services have really deteriorated over the past 2 years. I spent $50 on a wash that turned out to be less than your basic car wash. Everything from the inside out was poorly done. Once i got home and realized the shotty job, I took the vehicle back to have them clean the vehicle properly, but I was met with resistance and upsale opportunities. I paid for convenience, but instead, I will be washing and vacuuming our vehicles at home going forward!

This car wash is no longer Handy J Car Wash, so the coupons on their website are not valid. The attendant who wrote my service ticket was unsure if I could use the coupon and directed me to ask the cashier. However, the cashier stated that the attendant should have known the policy and informed me accordingly. They look very shady. This experience felt misleading and like a scam, and I cannot recommend this place. It was my first visit, but it will likely be my last.

shady business practices - i paid for the executive car wash (#3) but Arman (man who tries to upsell you on everything) marked my window it as a #1 (the cheapest wash) when the car came out i complained to my washer and he ended up validating my complaint and shrugged saying that the guy up front is shady. don’t go here, very shady business

Ok so for all that are complaining about the service, let it be known, That, that place is a basic car wash, I saw the pictures in all of the reviews and I can tell that these people need professional detailing, by the way you are in a very high cost area and it takes more money to get the perfection these people want, yes it is expensive to get your cars washed here and these people I bet on a regular basis tip cheap, yeah you are in California and these people who are crying and complaining made it this way so quit your crying and go and get your cars detailed professionally god you guys are dirty and don’t know how to do up keeps in your cars. Lol

Absolutely awful business practices. First off I’d like to start by saying the actual mechanic doing the oil change was great and apologized for the behavior of the other employees here. The lady behind the counter and the owner of this establishment especially need to work on their customer service skills. The way they spoke to me was unacceptable and I will never return to this place. Absolute rip off and awful service. Stay FAR AWAY.

I’m from nj and just shipped my car out here. It was filthy from the trip and the inside hadn’t been cleaned in a couple months. This was the most amazing and thorough car wash. Truly 10/10. Highly recommend!

My car was seriously due for a car wash especially after major rainstorm we had few days prior. Thursday February 7th 2024 at 1p.m. took my car to Handy J Car Wash & Lube. This is my first time ever bringing my car to Handy J. There are 6 choices you can choose from of what type of car wash you want. I choose the 2nd tier which is the VIP car wash ($27.99). Mentioned to the gentleman that I wanted Vanilla scent. Was told I had to choose Tier 3 (Can't remember the name) in order to get the scent. $29.99...$2.00 dollars extra for just a couple of sprays. I decided to go with Tier 3 ($29.99). Once I received the receipt, went in to pay for it. The cashier (young female) had a "Major Attitude Problem" and was not cordial throughout my transaction at all. She was talking to another co-worker in Spanish and appeared to be upset that I interrupted their conversation. Keep in mind that I am a paying customer that is helping you stay in business (laughing). Took about 40 to 50 minutes for my car to be done. To be fair, the gentleman that did my car did an outstanding job. My car looked brand new. Fast Forward...early evening I was in Simi Valley and it rain for a short period of time. Friday Morning February 8th called Handy J Car Wash to see if they rain check option. The young lady with the bad attitude answered the phone. I ask about rain check and she said "24 Hours but it did not rain here last night." I told her that I was in another city and it did rain. She said "Hold On." Was on hold for almost 5 minutes. Manager got on the phone and I explained to him that it rained in the city I was in last night and to see if I could get rain check honored. His exact words were "It did not rain out here last night." Again, explained that I was in another city and it was raining out there. Manager again said "It did not rain out here last night." Again, I ask if rain check will be honored; Manager said "No." I ask the question one more time and the Manager again said "No." How about that. Paid $29.99 + tip, it rained in different city I was in and after explaining everything in full detail, rain check will not be honored. The manager indirectly calling me a "liar" to not honor rain check service. Really? In conclusion: Handy J Car Wash customer service is "Unprofessional to the Max." Again...Cashier=Major Attitude problem and Immature. Manager=Attitude problem and not listening to the paying customer that contribute to you getting a paycheck. If a customer tells you it rained, listen to the customer and grant rain check service for that customer. ☆I will never bring my car to Handy J Cash Wash & Lube again for service of any kind☆

Horrible Car Wash here’s why you should not come here. Rude and incompetent staff Car was still dirty after the car wash Left spots and streaks all over the exterior Sprayed oil all over my rubber mats and didn’t even clean the mats correctly Save your money and go to Culver City and Car Wash. Ask for Miguel. It’s literally two minutes away and one person dedicated to your car and will take care of it from start to finish.

If you're looking for a car wash that cleans both the interior and exterior of your car. This is not the place for you. Twice I took a car there. The rental I paid like $30 just to get it cleaned up and returned. But the interior was untouched- not even vacuumed. Next I took my friend's car and paid $50 and the same thing happened. No interior cleaning- weird

This place was great! They did such a good job, my Audi Q8 was filthy and they did at a good cost with the Ambassador wash and finished it on time. Super nice! Highly recommend!
