Was on vacation in St. George when my van broke down on the way into town, took it to hawker last minute and they were able to diagnose and fix it all in a timely manner. They spent a lot of time trying to diagnose the problem and did not charge me for extra labor spent to figure it out. The owner of the shop is a great guy and the repair work was done very well and in a timely manner. 5 stars, a very trustworthy and great shop.

I paid a diagnostic fee for a clicking noise in my car, then several hundred dollars to fix the issue only for it to come back a couple days later. Anyone can make a mistake, but Hawker charged me a second diagnostic fee and another charge to fix it, when it’s not my fault they got it wrong the first time. No surprise, the sound was back after another couple days. They also charged my sister a diagnostic fee for her issue, only to tell her they don’t work on hybrid cars. Seems like you could lead with that information. I won’t be back, as I’m now out several hundred dollars to be in the same position, and I don’t want to be charged a third time as I’m not confident they’d get it right. UPDATE: I knew my review would get a response and for the what it’s worth, the response does not reflect reality, as I did come in twice for the sound within a week, was charged a diagnostic fee twice, and charged to attempt to fix it twice. Still experiencing the issue.

Asked them to check the front brakes on my truck and they told me the pads were super low and needed changing, possibly the rotors too. Quoted $500-$700++. I went to another place for a second opinion and they told me pads were fine. Said I had at least 1000 to 2000 more miles before they needed to be replaced. A friend with a car dealership told me the same. These guys just wanted my money. Not honest at all. STAY AWAY.

Do not go to Hawker Automotive to buy a car I paid $12,000 for my car my monthly payments are 350 but I've had nothing but problems with this car and I've only had it 3 months the second day had it it got stuck in drive and they fixed it then I had a problem with my right tail light and I thought they fixed it but all they did was hot glue it back into place instead of replacing the problem I wish I could take pictures and show you all the problems around with my car I took it to another mechanic and set the my whole right tail light turn signal was burnt out was not putting properly it looks like they hot glue gun to their they say what cost you about $400 to fix that and just the other day the starter went out on my car I know it's not a brand new car 2016 Dodge Dart two or three months ago and now it's just sitting at my house it's going to cost me about $1,000 or more to get everything fixed on it I'm upset I feel like I was taken advantage of there's no way they didn't know that all the problems are with this car and now I'm stuck with it do not buy from them don't end up like end up like me what's a 12000 car I've only had two or three months and you can't even enjoy it and I'm on disability so I have to decide fixing my car and not making the payments on it for a month and not making car insurance please do not buy from them

Every time I've visited, they've been completely fair and level with me. They talk about any issues they find in-depth, they're glad to show me and explain up close and personal, and they're even transparent enough to show me part availability on car part websites as they're looking them up. I travel a lot and switch out cars every now and then, and I always want to come here for my pre-purchase inspections (PPI) -- something a surprising amount of mechanics in St. George don't offer! False information on my vehicle I purchased. Some may even say fraudulent. My bill of sale said 153,000. My down payment paperwork said it was actual mileage for this car. I went to trade it in and found out through CarFax in 2015 this car had 189,000. I thought for sure they would have made it right by buying it back. I even offered to take a $3,000 loss and they just pay it off and take the car back. They said no and offered me $2,200. That is actually what the car is worth knowing there is a mileage discrepancy in the CarFax. There whole thing, and what they told me is they had no idea about the car they bought and sold to me so it isn’t on them that they reported the wrong mileage and claimed it was actual mileage. If I was you, I wouldn’t buy a car from them since they claim to not really know what they are selling. If you do, get the CarFax, bring it to another shop and have it checked over. I couldn’t believe they would not be solid honest businessmen. The CarFax tracks from oil changes and services. From 9 miles 11/03/09 and it goes to 189,000 miles 09/02/16. There is a gap from 152,000 04/15/2015-189,000 mile 09/02/2016, a gap where it wasn’t serviced. From there the mileage drops to 105,000 miles 11/10/2016 where people started servicing it again. A natural climb of service records to the 153,000 miles 05/02/2022 my purchase date I’d understand if it wasn’t serviced or anything. But these numbers pretty much don’t lie. Yes he did offer me to buy it back. But amazingly at the price knowing there is an odometer rollback or discrepancy. I was willing to take a loss and they weren’t willing to be righteous businessmen. I only wanted what was owed to pay rest of loan off and they could have the car back and resell it. There obviously is something going on with the mileage discrepancy. If they knew or not. They should have known. You would like to know they know what they are buying so they know what they are selling to you. Apparently they admittedly “had no idea” I’ve always liked them and trusted them. But these numbers add up. Oil changes, services. It shocked me I was treated this way. What makes me really think they knew something was up with the car was what the salesman said to me when I brought it in to get a part fixed…..in a laugh he said “well this car has never been under the water” I mentioned it and everyone backpeddled and laughed saying yeah, he’s just not all there all the time. I imagine at 189,000 miles a motor was replaced. And that doesn’t mean the mileage of the car is affected. Just the motor. I’d just like this to be made right.

Hawker Automotive's stellar reputation is well deserved. I brought my 2007 Honda CRV with over 230,000 miles in for an engine issue and I told Scott that if the repair was costly, I was just going to sell the car. Turns out the issue was the same one that I had almost a year ago and I was one week away from the part being out of warranty. Hawker fixed the issue for no charge. Hawker also sells used cars. A less honest repair shop could have made up an exspensive repair and then lowballed me on purchasing the vehicle. I very much apprciate Scott's integrity and highly recommend Hawker Automotive.

Hawker's prices are reasonable, and you always get quality work. Scott, especially, is a standout – he's not just skilled but also really approachable and honest. He always makes sure you understand what's going on with your vehicle. Our 2013 sedan and 2009 SUV have been running smoothly thanks to their care. We're about to move out-of-state, and finding another auto shop that matches their reliability is going to be a challenge.

Took my 2005 F250 v10 here. Came here based on AAA Approved and online reviews. Was charged about $120 for a $25 sensor and another $160 to put in that same camshaft sensor which took me about 90seconds to do our other exact same work truck. Was charged $1,100 plus tax for a mediocre catalytic converter. That bill came to about $1900 and still wasn't able to solve the issue/code that was being thrown. When I took back the next day to have them look at the same issue they had supposedly fixed, was charged another over $200 for them to look at it and I negotiated that bill down to closer to $150. I'm left with a truck that starts only intermittently and a glowing check-engine light and spent over 2k🙁
