Advertises open on Monday, but never answered the phone or responded to voicemails. I finally drove there in the afternoon because I needed a quick tire change before leaving town on Wednesday. The shop was open but nobody there. Waited for about 30 minutes, then finally left a note asking for him to call me that night. It's Tuesday night and I still haven't heard from him. I'd like to support this small business, but not if they never respond.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but I would not use Highline V-Twin Motorcycle Repair for anything other than an oil change and even then I would be skeptical after my experience. Contrary to other reviews, I had a very poor experience. I agree that Nate was pleasant and has great prices but that’s about it. I took in my motorcycle with a seized front bearing and a snapped axle. After seeing his operation, I asked Nate if he would be able to do the work based on the equipment he had in the shed he uses for business. His response didn’t really give me a lot of confidence but I decided to trust him based on other reviews. After several phone calls concerning the seized bearing, Nate stated that he would have to take it to a machinist to remove the bearings. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time. However, when I picked up the motorcycle, he told me that the machinist had scratched the hub a little. The hub actually had a chip in it as well as scratches. When I got the motorcycle home, I reviewed the damage more closely. The hub was not only chipped but it had several hairline fractures in it. I didn’t feel that it was safe to ride the motorcycle. I called Nate to discuss options and when I told him that he was responsible for the damage, he said that he would be happy to install a new hub for free if I bought one. When I told him that I expected him to correct the issue, he stated that he might be able to find a new wheel but it probably wouldn’t match. At that point, I told him that I wouldn’t let him work on my motorcycle again. I decided to do the work myself and when I took apart the hub, I was shocked at the damage (see photos). It looked like someone tried to pry the bearings out with a screwdriver and there was more damage than could be seen with the wheel installed. I don’t know if it was even taken to a machinist but I doubt that a qualified machinist would do such poor quality work. Unfortunately, the hub was no longer available in the US. After a month of research and calls, I finally found one in Europe which was expensive. In the end, I paid triple what Nate charged me to get my motorcycle back on the road. I always try to find a good local mechanic instead of going to a big business but in this case, I should have taken it to a more reputable mechanic. UPDATE: In response to Nate's reply, I have to laugh somewhat. I think most people would find it difficult to ride a motorcycle with a snapped axle. However, I did in fact roll the bike 50 yards under it's own power at 1 mph to get it off the interstate so I'm not arguing that. My biggest concern is that there was no visible damage to the hub when I took it in. And I doubt seriously that the snapped axle caused screwdriver pry marks as seen in the picture! If there was a concern that the hub was damaged, Nate never said a word until I picked it up. Why wouldn't he simply show me the damaged hub or say that he couldn't repair it? My initial review was based on the safety of riding the motorcycle. Based on Nate's comments, I still don't feel like safety is his concern...only deflecting blame.

It's great to have a new independent shop in the Springs area. Fast and friendly service, with prices the big dealerships can't even come close to. Highly recommended

Nate treated me like a brother, and is a very genuine person. Sick of taking the shaft from the stealerships? Give Highline a try.

Best Shop I have used in years! Nate knows his way around bikes of dang near every make and model. You can tell that the man isn’t just school taught, but road learned. Respectful, Honest and fair from the core with a no-nonsense approach to all his customers. Unlike other places that will give you the run around about what’s happening with your bike, he keeps you informed and sticks to his schedules.

I had Nate perform a 20k service on my prize Harley Davidson. He did the work promptly and thoroughly finding and repairing two problems which other mechanics had missed. He even delivered the bike to my house. All this at 45% lower cost compared to other shops. He has earned my repeat business.
