I recently had both of my vehicles emission tested here. The staff are super friendly and they offer a free shuttle service to your home and back if the work is going to take a lot of time. They also do annual safety inspections, which I plan on doing with them in the near future.

We have been taking our cars to HomeTowne for several years now, and we can always depend on them to do accurate work and have the car ready when promised. They don't try to sell you services that are not needed, which is much appreciated. Highly recommended!

Been dealing with them for not long and found out my repair wasn’t covered via warranty, upon learning it has to be done by manufacturer recall, hammed waved the diagnostic fee, wasn’t expecting that. Fantastic customer service!

I have been bringing my vehicle to Hometowne Auto for years now. The reason I keep coming back is because the service has always been great. I love that they don’t take advantage of me by claiming that something is wrong with my vehicle that really is not and they don’t overcharge me. Another thing I love is the low pressure service. They will identify problems or potential problems with my vehicle and leave it up to me to decide when I am ready to address the issue. They will let me know if the problem is critical and I should not be driving it too. Now that I know what I know, I will always choose to bring my vehicle to a local repair shop over a dealership anyday.

I've been a customer of Home Towne Auto Repair and Tire (HTART) for many years. I should have written a note about their professionalism, reliability, outstanding customer care, and exemplary service long ago. I'm doing so now because yet again, they've have excelled in all of the areas I just mentioned. Earlier this week, on New Year's Eve day, my front right tire went flat. I called HTART late in the day. They kindly and thoughtfully took a look-see at the tire and gave me their plan for remedying my situation. They were reliable in that they stayed true to their plan. Furthermore, their communications with me were exceptional: emails, texts with photos of the tire, and phone conversations. I was super appreciative that they cared enough about my problem that they kept me well informed...I didn't have to track them down on anything. They replaced the tire in a timely fashion. Their work on mounting, installing, and balancing the new tire was textbook perfect. The cost for their services was reasonable. I was profoundly appreciative to work with such a professional organization.

I cannot recommend this shop enough. I called a few places to get my car inspected. They were all on a first come first serve model but all recommend I come in the next day. I called hometown, and they mentioned it’s by appointment which normally I don’t prefer but Liz was very kind and mentioned they offer a shuttle for drop off back home; I didn’t use the service but loved that they offer it. I’m so glad I decided to go with Hometown. Everyone is extremely kind and communicative. The gentleman at the front offered to check the service date on my car because I wasn’t sure the last time I’d gotten an oil change. I ended up getting the oil change with the inspection and our car is running great. The turn around was good and their online report feature is really detailed and transparent. Definitely will be repeat customers!

I had a flat tire. I called Hometowne at 7am. They were so kind! They were happy to assist! I had my car towed to their location. Waited in their nice waiting area and was out in no time with two new tires and an alignment. We are now Hometowne customers for our vehicles! Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed! Also, they have a shuttle service! I wanted to add another key point, communications are excellent! I was kept informed the entire time. My car was thoroughly reviewed. The report was sent via link. I had photos of everything checked. My estimate for my next service was 2500. Hometowne is less than 1k. No frivolous or unnecessary add ons.

Do not go to this Place! Had to change my battery, called ahead was told we need to see the kind of battery your car needs, went to the office and was told it would be a little under $300 final price. Price for the battery $215. Next day had to call to find out car was ready, was told over the phone final price $370 Unbelievable, zero customer service! Told them they need to get their stories straight, went to pick up the car and it wouldn't even start. Went back into the office, and was told "Uh weird, I'll try to change it " Don't you test things after completing a job??? Was charged $84 for half an hour labor, which is less then 10 minutes. That's the time it took them to replace again the battery. Shop supplies $31.93 which is not actual supplies, your paying for them to drive your car into the shop! Really!!!??? They DO NOT CARE!!!! Told me the actually price for the battery would have been $400, it is just a regular interstate battery. The Day before was told it would cost $215. Again stay far away from this place!!!!!! One of the worst and expensive experience in my life

Hometown is a great place to do business! They are honest, helpful and competent, Great place for inspections as well as repairs. I love the new report you emailed me with the actual pictures of my trucks insides! It showed in detail what I should watch for in the inner workings that make the machine work. Thanks Thanks for fixing my A/C fan. All is good. Thanks for the great service. Always a great experience going to Home Town! I continue to use Home Town for service to my car and truck. They are friendly and give good advice. Great service at all times. Thanks for the "heads-up" on repairs I will need in a few months. The mechanics and the owner of this shop provide top notch customer service, my thanks to the owner. I only have one suggestion-I had condensation in my headlight, which failed inspection-the headlamp kit replacement cost was $557 plus supplies-a little $3 light costs me an additional $139. Liz provides the cost estimates-I really felt overcharged for a remanufactured headlight assembly kit. My one suggestion is to have a price and labor service board to list service charges and labor ahead of receiving a bill for $1776 , this was price shock, Although I did have other work done,like-replaced stuck rear right window, as a widow on limited income, I wasn't prepared for this total. Again, the owner and mechanics are superb and I highly recommend HomeTowne Auto. The courtesy ride drivers were superb, they both need a raise for excellent service. Thank you for allowing my feedback. I hope this increases your customers. It's well worth it.

Dropped my car off here overnight with a slow leaking front left tire. I called the shop Saturday morning to make sure they understood the issue. They called back a few hours later to say that they couldn’t find a hole so “it’s good to go.” I pressed them and asked them to recheck since I needed to drive to Baltimore on Monday morning and they said there’s nothing else that could be done. Halfway to Baltimore the car indicated a loss of tire pressure and the TPMS light came back on. I stopped at Gerry’s Tire Services in Baltimore and it took them about 5 minutes to locate the pinhole leak on the sidewall and circle it. HomeTowne Auto Repair should not advertise tire services if they don’t have technicians with the basic skill sets to diagnose tire issues.

I’ve always found their service to be top-notch, from listening carefully to my concerns, educating me about my car issues, providing thorough inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and recommended maintenance. The environment is friendly and accommodating, including the drivers who pick me up and bring me home when needed.
