So far so good. Customer service and work are both high quality. They've done amazing work on my valve cover gasket and oil pan replacement. Will continue to go here and refer this shop to others. They are family owned. (The husband and wife work together and I think that's amazing for them. I love seeing shops like this.) Support local, family owned places. Fair deals.

This shop is a absolute joke to deal with. They talk down about the other local shops like they are the best diesel techs around here. They have done several jobs to my truck but the truck never stays on the road due to their lack of skills. They have costed me a $1,000 rear end due to no fluid being put in it, they managed to mess up my injector o-rings when installing them so they offered to fix that but in the process of figuring out that was the issue they cross threaded my fuel filter cap and caused 8 gallons or more of fuel to dump out into my driveway. I called and told them about the issue but they do not care and made no offer to make it right. Now the truck is back miss firing again and looks to be oil in the fuel bowl/filter which from my research shows it could be fuel injector o-rings again so im assuming they only changed the bad ones they found on #1 cylinder injector they seen instead of all 8 like brent told me he was going to do since they all needed to be removed. 10/10 highly recommend to avoid this shop unless you got plenty of money for tow bill after tow bill from the break downs and their shop bills. They will not own up to things that get messed up while it is in their hands (like a extra dent that magically showed up while parked at their lot to be worked on brent looked confused and said i think that was already there) no sir it only had damage to the bed previously. The mechanic jay is a drunk and they allowed him to stay on board with them after showing up hammered to work which is just ridiculous you would want to keep someone on that puts your business and customers at risk because they want to show up drunk to WORK! The only thing Brent's wife (kayla the receptionist) had to say was i wish we would of never took your truck in. They will not get anymore business from me and hopefully people will take this advice and run far away from this joke of a shop to avoid being in the situation i am in. I have put no more than 6k miles on this truck since they have started working on it which is just absolutely sad. I fixed the issue myself since they did not want to mess with me or my truck anymore. There was atleast 8 injector o-rings destroyed when they put them in including the ones they just did couple weeks ago. They are a sad excuse of a shop and hopefully people dont get done the same way they have done me. It has been issue after issue with them. Glad i know how to work on vehicles so i was able to fix their mistakes myself! Just wanted to update that i have fixed my truck myself and it has been on the road ever since i made this. Its time to double check everything that they have touched as my ac compressor lines blew off the other night which they are the last ones to touch it. The bolt that holds the lines to the compressor is gone so im assuming they didnt tighten it. This shop is a major joke and im incredibly glad i quit dealing with them!

Everyone I met here was super helpful and got my car fixed for me quickly and even stayed late to get it done for me. I appreciate them, and definitely recommend them. 5 stars for sure

Hot Iron Garage is the premier diesel shop in Knoxville and I've been to most of them. Brent is a master mechanic with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Excellent communication. Will not be taking my vehicles anywhere else.

I was a little disappointed. I came in with a rumble, they diagnosed a transmission problem. I took it to AAMCO to check out the transmission and it turns out that my drive shaft was bent. AAMCO replaced my drive shaft and fixed the problem. Would have cost me $4,500 dollars if I accepted Hot Iron's diagnosis.

They do good honest work. Sometimes it takes a while to get fixed due to their backlog. But they do tell you the time frame up front so you can make an informed decision regarding timing.

Great place quick service, engine light was on and even ad busy as they was Brent plugged in my truck and told me what was wrong... nothing to worry about could fix it when I got home

The owners went above and beyond to help us get our tailgate fixed, new tires put on, leveled our truck, and changing our gas tank to a larger one. Also did tons of work for our son on his truck! Among other repairs. They Took care of everything from A to Z. They're definitely our mechanic we trust and will go to in the future! Great communication! Fair pricing! And trustworthy work! Can't thank them enough!

Brent is an excellent mechanic and designer. He has maintained our trucks, tractors and farm equipment for years and kept us moving. He also designed and built our harvester! We sure do miss him here in Alaska!

Matt is fair and an awesome mechanic. I blew a head gasket and he fixed it quickly and easy way less than a dealer and the work was quality. I won't take my diesel anywhere else.

Thought I needed a new heater core I was planning on spend over 1000 for it Mat saved me all of that because he pressure tested and found a leaking block heater! Honest mechanics are hard to come by very reasonable on pricing and super fast turnaround
