I had a new engine put in my 1992 Toyota Pickup in Detroit and they couldn’t get her running right. I’ve had it at two other shops and no one could figure out what was wrong. I took it to Hughes and they had it fixed in half a day! They were awesome to work with and I highly recommend this shop!

As always, superb fast and friendly service. Have been using Hughes for over 30 years with a variety of cars and have never been disappointed with service or cost. I live a half hour away and though there a number of car repair and service shops much closer I will always go to Hughes.

Hughes keeps both of my VWs, 2010 Passat Wagon and 2009 Eos, running and alive. The communication and service is great. I highly recommend them for your foreign or domestic car needs.

I have a 2007 Chevy Avalanche that is in great condition with high mileage. The worst happened and the motor died. Paul worked with me through the whole process and helped me get a new Jasper Engine installed. My truck is as good as new now. On the day I picked my truck up the owner Tom came and spoke with me explaining everything about the engine and what they did. The whole process was flawless and I just found my new mechanic for all 3 of my vehicles. I highly recommend Hughes Automotive for your vehicle needs. They are professional, their shop is always clean and organized. Great job Hughes Automotive

I took my car to Paul Hughes bc I needed him to run a diagnostic and take pictures of the engine to show if the issue was related to a car accident. He promised that he would take care of the issue bc Caliber body shop said that it wasn’t related and had some guy look at the engine and determine this as a fact. This happened in June 25I am posting this on July 24 and he has ignored the insurance company and just told me that he’s getting to it. The first kind man that I met has become snarky a nd keeps telling tomorrow. The insurance company is trying to close my claim American Family Insurance due to the word of a body shop and because this shop decided to do nothing and kept telling that they were going to handle it. When I told them that the insurance company was closing my claim he chuckled and said well bye.

I had my car checked by two different mechanics and neither one could fix the problem, I was told about Hughes Automotive by a friend. I took my car over there and they diagnosed the problem right away and had my car fixed and out the door at a reasonable time. I fully recommend if you need work done on your car, call Hughes Automotive a business you can trust. I most Definitely will go back.

Saved me from a $5000 repair. The dealership told me I needed to repair/replace the electronic control module (ecm) after coolant temp leaked into the harness and shorted everything out. After I heard the cost, I took my car to Hughes. Hughes wasn't seeing the same issue with their diagnostics. For $200, they were able clean everything and the transmission issue I had was gone! They drove it all weekend and it never acted up again. Would I use Hughes again??? Hell ya!! Quick to respond, very professional, and did not take advantage of this woman who knows nothing about cars :-)

Did a great job repairing damage from hitting a curb, hard. Very knowledgeable, good at finding used parts to offer great price. Didn't try to get me to fix a bunch of other stuff "they saw needed fixed" but did recommend things to consider getting done. Which turned out involved a warranty recall part known to have that issue.

I had my vehicle towed to Hughes from a difference automotive shop that was unable to diagnose what was wrong with my vehicle. The mechanics at Hughes had my vehicle for a couple of days and after two days of do the diagnosis they determined that there was water in my gas tank which no one else diagnosed. Mr. Paul at Hughes called me one Wednesday around 4:30 we gave him a call at eight on Thursday morning and he was calling me before noon to tell me my vehicle was fixed and that I could come and pick it up. I would just like to thank all the mechanics that worked on my vehicle and let you guys know that I greatly appreciate your service and your time. You guys little excellent job my vehicle runs like a different car!

They are not unlike most repair places but they have been able to repair most of not all of the jobs I have given them. They are always ready to answer questions and that's important to me when trying to get down to the bottom of a fix and cost!!
