When I tell you I had the most excellent experience with Ichiban the mechanic went step by step and explained everything with me he also went as far as to talk to the guy that sold me my Car he really worked with me it made me have a lot of trust with this company to recommend them to anyone I really appreciate them working with me even with the price most ppl would be in your pockets especially a Woman Thank you Mr. Dave for all you done you and the other workers there

I have used Ichiban several times. They provide great service and are VERY honest with the service and pricing. If it is something they do not service they will give you a good recommendation for a business they trust to do right by you.

I recently took my 2010 Infiniti EX35 to Ichiban Autos, and I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience. From the moment I arrived, the high level of customer service, reasonable pricing, and outstanding quality of the repair work were evident. Two staff members in particular, Dave and Ray, went above and beyond in their professionalism. They were attentive, listened carefully to my concerns, offered valuable advice, and demonstrated a strong commitment to getting the job done right. Their expertise and dedication made the entire process stress-free. I highly recommend Ichiban Autos for anyone in need of car repairs. Located at 1901 W. Berry St, Fort Worth, TX, in the TCU area, this company is a great choice for reliable and professional auto service. I will definitely be returning for any future car needs!

EDIT: 6/3/24: Spoke with Dave. I have no doubt that they can do a good job, as seen with these other positive reviews, but in the same manner that they are professionals in this field, I am surprised they did not find anything wrong with the master cylinder, which does have a direct influence on the clutch. Dave mentioned multiple times that his men did not find an issue with the cylinder at the time of inspection, so “technically” they did their jobs. I should point out, that Dave also said that they test driven it by 10 miles. 10 miles and no issues apparently, yet 2 miles of our struggle before the car gave out. I attached 2 new photos showing the odometer. Unless the paper printed on the day I picked up the keys aren't up to date (and if so, why was I given paperwork that’s not up to date?) I am hesitant to believe the car was test driven. With the complimentary oil change + 10% discount on next repair offered, my boyfriend is very open to bringing his car back and if next time the car is properly serviced I am willing to update the reviews. *************** We must be the unluckiest first time customers of Ichiban Autos given the number of positive reviews. My boyfriend drives a manual car and was in need of a new clutch. He hesitates in bringing his car anywhere but Redline in Arlington. Since it's far, I suggested that he give other auto repair shops a chance, something he hasn't done before since he knows that finding a good mechanic is hard. Same here, but we wanted to have hope that his car can be fixed properly in Fort Worth. We thought wrong. Upon arriving, the men were very nice. Because their customer service skills were great, we assumed they were going to do a good job. My boyfriend even spoke fondly about Ichiban Autos even before repairs started. The men at the front were also responsive, informing us of the costs, labor, & parts that need replacement. Take a look at the photos for the amount of things replaced. Cost? Over $2k. And because Ichiban closes on the weekends, you'd think they'll make sure their Friday clients would be ensured that their cars would be drivable. Unfortunately, not us. As my boyfriend was flying back from a work trip, we couldn't get his car till 10 PM, long after Ichiban closed. At 10 PM, we retrieved the car, excited to drive it when... HIS CLUTCH IS LOOSE! Both of us tried it and it feels wrong. NO resistance on the clutch pedal, and he couldn't put the shifter into gear! How is this acceptable! He managed to drive the car off premises but as he got closer to my apartment, literally 2 miles away, he had stopped because he couldn't change gears anymore. That's right, 2 MILES by 11 PM, my boyfriend and his car remain stuck on the side of the road, parallel parked at some street and praying that he doesn't get towed. I did not pay over $2k just to retrieve a car that's not operating properly. Did anyone even test drive it? You guys had the car from Wednesday till Friday. Called me at 9:30 AM stating it's ready, and I didn't even come till 2 PM to pick it up, giving you guys plenty of time to test drive/check for any errors/tighten any loose ends. Since Ichiban is closed, our night, our weekend, is ruined. I really wished I could've given this place 5 stars, the men were nice but the service we received is unacceptable. A simple clutch check/test drive would've signaled to you guys that something is off. Ichiban Autos, we are extremely disappointed. EDIT (Morning of 6/1/24): Tried calling your "24/7" assistance listed on your website. It's just your company's phone number sending us directly to voice mail. We need the car today. My boyfriend is missing out an annual event he wanted to go to deal with this matter. He can't even drive it to a different repair shop as he can't change gears anymore. Currently waiting over an hour to get it towed, and costing us unnecessary fees too!! Unbelievable!!

Had some work done while I was on a work trip. Unfortunately, as soon as I picked up my car I noticed it still had issues that made it undrivable. Since they are closed on the weekends I did have to take it somewhere else as I needed the car immediately. Long story short, since I was unable to take it back to them immediately they could not have a chance to look it over again but after talking with the owner and seeing how professional everyone is I am willing to go back next time but probably not right before the weekend to avoid another unfortunate situation.

I had to have a full AC kit. Service was fast and all the employees were great. Ray definitely took care of me! I would recommend them to anyone having issues with their vehicle. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

When I had my oil changed at another place I was told I needed rear brakes replaced. So, I went to Ichiban and they checked them and said they were only 40 % worn. They didn’t even charge me. Rare to experience such honesty!

Honest and trustworthy auto shop. I brought my car in because it was driving funny, and they immediately looked at it and gave me a diagnosis within hours. They gave me a great quote, whereas another auto shop quoted me double the amount. Also, after I dropped my car off to be looked at, they gave me a ride home so I didn't have to uber. Seriously one of the best experiences I have had with an auto shop. Thank you Dave and Ray!

These guys are awesome! They will update you every step of the way, and will not cheat you because you’re a woman. I felt they genuinely care and would try everything to make my car that was sitting a year run smoothly as possible, and be honest. These guys are legit! Dave was great. Answered all of my questions, got the parts needed for my repair within 24 hours, and had the repair done in another half day. Reasonable labor rate. Would I recommend? Yes

I brought my Subaru Outback in as I suspected it of transmission issues. They had a Subaru tech that was able to thoroughly investigate it, and sure enough I did need transmission work. They offered competitive rates and trustworthy advice. I was so impressed with their inspection and the photos they offered, and Dave was great to chat with. I will definitely come back again!

This place is fantastic. Honest dudes. The shop foreman’s name is Marty. He’s extremely knowledgeable. You can tell he cares about “doing things the right way” and taking care of your vehicle. I really appreciated it. I’ll be returning for sure!

If you’re looking for a one stop shop, this is the one. They’ll have your vehicle diagnosed & ready to go in no time at all, in addition to completing a thorough inspection of your vehicle they’ll walk you through the entire process leaving almost no room for any doubt. Can not recommend them enough, no other auto repair shop holds a candle to Ichiban Autos.

Good service, qualified shop and communicate. Install new AC parts for the Land Cruiser. My AC cooling system was 10yo and they sourced factory parts and fabricated new Galaxy pressure lines. Everything looks good. Vents temps now at 55 degrees.

I was an hour and a half away from home when my car suddenly decided to act up. Immediately knew it had to be a spark plug problem. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Check engine light came on so I pulled into O Reilly Auto Parts and they directed me across the street to Ichiban. As soon as I walked in the front door, Daniel greeted me and helped me. He was extremely courteous and kind and made me feel completely at ease. Being a female, I figured they’d just see an easy target walking through the door and charge me out the @$$ to fix my car. Nope! They had me in and out within a couple of hours and price was reasonable. I’d definitely recommend Ichiban for any of your vehicle needs. Honest and kind and will get the job done right at a fair price. The manager Ray was great also and had me on my way in no time at all. Thanks guys!!!

Great place! Helped me out of a jam when my vintage Mercedes broke down and they had the problem fixed by the next morning. TCU Discount was a nice offer, too. Glad to know there are good, independent mechanics' shops still around.

This place always takes care of me. I've been going here since 2018 I had a Jeep leave me on the side of the road with the check engine light on. Took it to a random place they quoted me 5k. Took it to ichiban for a second opinion.. It was the battery. They gained a customer for life with that honestly. Now I have a Mercedes they fix up at good prices. Most recently drove over a curb and broke my gas pump. Fixed it for way less than the dealership was offering.
