These guys are AWESOME!! I had a bothersome air bag fault light. They were able to diagnose it, tell me where the problem was located and fixed it all in the time it took me to eat a doughnut! I highly recommend them for you import repair needs!

So I had an issue with my car that 3 mechanics prior were unable to properly diagnose. ISA was recommended to me and I couldn’t be happier I found them! Kevin took the time and did his due diligence to finally uncover the fact that a previous mechanic installed parts improperly causing the issue I was experiencing. I can’t say thank you enough for finding the root of the problem. I’ve definitely got a new mechanic now! **2023 UPDATE** Since Kevin has left the company, quality of work has gone way downhill. I no longer entrust ISA to work on my car and have since found a new mechanic due to many costly repairs that didn’t actually correct the problems experienced and was basically told “tough luck, that’s the way it is with your car”. One item they replaced (an ABS control module, which requires a NEW replacement or fixing of the old one) was found by my new mechanic to have been a used part. I will say I was reimbursed by the owner for the cost of the repair, but trust was lost at that point. I really enjoyed them for quite some time but can no longer say that. And, I’d noticed towards the end of going there that they were actually costlier than the Volvo dealership! (I should have starting price comparing from the beginning.) As well as taking longer and longer to perform repairs, with as little communication as possible and with less and less access to loaners making it very difficult to have work performed here. I know they are usually the go-to for Volvos in COS, but save yourself some headaches down the line and find some place else.

Staff were very nice and efficient. I did not expect to get my car back so fast. Also, when they found out the dealership did not have any drivers to deliver the part to their shop due to the snow storm, their own staff drove out in the snow to get it from them. Thank you guys!

I took my 10-year old Subaru Forester here because my gas mileage had dropped so suddenly. They got me in within a day, quoted me for what they explained was needed, and got it done same day. My mileage is better than it’s ever been and the car runs great! Will definitely bring my car here again.

I've never had a more transparent and quality experience with a shop. Extremely satisfied with the quality of work and process overall. They're not cheap, but no one good ever is, and you get way more than you pay for with these guys. I've always dreaded bringing my car in anywhere out of distrust of the auto shop industry overall, but I hope I never have to bring my Volkswagen anywhere else. I dealt with Nelson, KJ, Brian and David, and am beyond thankful for their quality of work and service.

No one explained that they charge for every part of an inspection. Two inspections cost almost $800 and that did not include fixing anything except reconnecting a wire that had come loose. They charged to inspect alignment but didn’t align the car. When I picked up car it smelled like weed. I expressed this to the manager and he just blew me off say none of his guys smoke weed. The attitude and atmosphere of the place is not personable or good. He even said it was my fault for not asking questions. I think they need to tell customers up front what items are going to cost when inspected. They never did.

This shops negligence compromised my safety and caused a wheel to fall off my car. I initially went in complaining about a clunk in my front suspension. I paid for a diagnosis. They recommended new front strut and spring assemblies, sway bar links, and control arms, which I approved for repair. When I got the car back I noticed the front was sitting significantly higher than the rear. I brought it back and paid for another diagnosis. They said they found nothing wrong with their repair and claimed my rear suspension was all original to the car and recommended replacing it to correct the ride height, which I approved. When I went to pick up the car the rear was now sitting way lower than when I had dropped it off. They claimed that it was an optical illusion and insisted I drove off and let the suspension settle. It was so low the rear tires would rub when I would accelerate and it ruined my tires after just a 15 minute drive to work. I called the shop asking them to take the car back and take a look since something was clearly wrong. I also asked for a loaner car so I didn't need to get rides since this was already taking longer and was more expensive than expected. They told me to come back before they closed to pick up the loaner. When I showed up, they never had a loaner ready and told me to come back in the morning. Right after, on my way home, the control arm that they just replaced disconnected from my steering knuckle. Luckily I was only going 5mph when this happened. This still caused significant mechanical damage and jacked up my fender. I towed the car back to the shop The owner agreed to refund me for the repairs and fix the damage. I left the car with them and asked for updates. They gave me a loaner car that was not at all worthy for the road with bald/dry rotted tires, one of which had a bulge in the sidewall, broken windshield, broken hood latch that I had to bungee cord shut, and a slew of other issues. The owner nor the shop once contacted me when they said they would, prompting me to go into the shop in person for updates. Every time I went in I was assured the owner would reach out to me by 'x' date and would issue the refund. When the car was 'fixed', they ended up putting my used springs back in without notifying me and tried to not replace the clearly damaged brake hoses. They eventually did replace the brake hoses after I complained about it to the manager. Eventually the owner called me, first time he reached out, stating the car was ready for pickup. He went back on his refund and only offered $500 compensation for everything. He gave me a slew of excuses as to why he wouldn't refund me. Eventually I got an additional $392 from the owner, but this was way less than my promised refund of over $3000 for the repairs I had the shop do. To this day I still have a clunk in my suspension and my steering now binds up on tight turns in parking lots which it didn’t do before. The owner seems like he couldn’t care less about how my safety as well as the safety of everyone around me was put in jeopardy due to their negligence. The techs tried to cover up obvious mistakes that could have been easily fixed rather than being honest and fixing it correctly, this could have easily caused a bad accident. I could go on and on. I refuse to bring a vehicle here again and I advise you to do the same.

Under new ownership as of 2022 (?) I am downgrading from 5 stars to 2, they are now just another generic service/repair shop as opposed to our amazing go-to shop for 15+ years...

We recently were looking for an independent auto specialist to look over a car we were interested in buying for our kid. We were on a time crunch and ISA was super accommodating, getting us in right away. They inspected the car thoroughly and were professional and honest. I would feel confident in future services and repairs for all our vehicles. Thanks ISA!

I have used Import Specialty Auto over the years to maintain four different Subarus. They have always done professional work on my vehicles at a fair price. The one aspect of their work you can put a price on is always knowing the job is done right and they always perform inspections to prevent unsuspected break downs.I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. ISA always does a great job with my BMW and Audi. Quality work at affordable prices, much lower than the dealerships. These guys are honest and I trust them completely!

Import Specialty Auto is probably the best auto repair shop I've worked with in 50 years. They provide estimates before approving the work, the repairs made are outstanding quality, the mechanic asked me to do a test drive with him and confirm my satisfaction, and they talk with the customer as work is being done to confirm actions and conclusions. Thank You!

I took my 1st gen Volvo V70 here after being referred from another place. I had a few smaller and a few medium repairs done. So, they did do some repairs, some preventative maintenance, and some inspections, and they made some mistakes, but they also tried to remedy the situation each time. For example I took the car in to have the fuel filter replaced since it hadn't been done in 13 years. The fuel pump evidently died while in their possession, well okay, I guess it is an old car, so things will break, sure, do the repair. Except I get the car back and it made this new god awful humming/droning noise. I was pretty disgusted, so I brought it right back and they did fix it. I also had them check out a squeak noise and they eventually diagnosed an engine mount, possibly the upper torque mount. Well, they did replace the mount, or at least they cleaned the heck out of the part to make me think they did, but unbeknownst to me at the time, I had a service record for an upper torque mount that was done 11k miles prior to them diagnosing and repairing it ... and no, it didn't fix the squeak noise, not 1 minute after I got the car back, and still almost a year later it still makes that basketball-court-sneaker-squeak. Again, maybe the old mount was a low quality aftermarket part that needed replacing anyway, I don't know. I'm really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt here. At some point or another I had a cluster of jobs done all at once, because I work for a living, similar hours as most mechanic shops, (day time) and I'm not home 24/7 to drop off and pick up this car every week to have onesies and twosies done. Anyways, one of the jobs was forgotten this visit, and I was suspicious that it was neglected after I got the car back, so after going after their work, I found out that it was indeed neglected. I took it back and they apologized, promptly did the work they just charged me for, and even made it up to me by offering an oil change credit, which was probably my single best experience with them so far. So I don't know what to make of all this. I feel like this is an exceptional level of mistakes made, and I'm disappointed with my overall experience coming here. I've been referred to another shop in Littleton that seems to be more enthusiastic about working on Volvo cars and I think the difference in pricing will make up for the rideshare and bustang fares too.

These guys asked me for $986.40 to change out 4 spark plugs and ignition coils on a 2001 Tacoma. This was on top of the $180.98 diagnosis. Will not be going back.
