Mike is awesome and very knowledgeable. He knew what was wrong with my BMW before BMW knew what was wrong. Highly recommend!

I've known Rodney from back in the day when it was drag racing in the hole, he and his friend are damn good and honest mechanics.

I was hesitant to write a review but the more I thought about my experience, the more annoyed I got. My son's car was taken to this shop after we were having some issues with getting it fixed. One of the mechanics took a look at the car and said there were some issues with the gaskets. He estimated the cost of repairs would be $1200-1500, but he would have to break the car all the way down to see how detailed the problem was and before he could give me a true cost of the repairs. I can understand that, but he charged me $500 just to break the car down. When I asked him about the $500, he said it was because he had to pay his guys and he had issues in the past with people having them break cars down only to find out the repairs were to expensive to have done. I can't remember exactly what he said the guys make per hour but let's call it $30. $500 would be 16 hours of work, which I'm sure was not invested in my car. Needless to say, he came back and said that the engine was shot and to replace it was going cost $2800. The price basically doubled making it unfeasible for me to have the car repaired. After all I hadn't even paid that much for the car to begin with. The problem is now I'm out $500 and I still need to buy another car. They offer no type of concession and seem less than empathetic to the fact that I or anyone else is out $500 and still have no car. In speaking with the owner he mentions how he has three cars like mine "out in a field" because the engines were out and people did not want to pay for the repairs. That causes me to wonder how often are they taking $500 from people based on the "we need to break the car all the way down" approach? I mean, including my car, that's $2000 in cars that I know about. I've had lots or repairs done on lots of different cars and I've never had to pay $500 up front just to have the car broken down. Even at $30/hour for the mechanic, $500 is still unreasonable. When I was told about this, it didn't sit well with me but I went with because this guy was supposedly a friend of my brother's. I would have had the car taken to a different shop, but I live in NY and was not there to deal with this myself. The only thing I'll say is buyer beware! It seems like these guys have quite the racket going!
