I get my regular servicing for my 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable with fair prices and have always gotten my vehicle out when they promised it. I will continue to take my Benz there for its servicing.

When I took my car in for a new wheel bearing and axle boot on the rear left I called them and the lady on the phone said it will take longer than expected and said unfortunately we can't charge you more we can only charge you what the book says then when I went to pickup my car they said they broke the swaybar end link on the complete opposite side and said they will charge me 135$ for something they broke and they left part of it in the sway bar and put all the old parts in a box and left it in my car I do not recommend this place to anyone poor customer service.

Bill & Neil are two great guys! I took my vehicle in after thinking that it was a bigger (and more expensive) issue than what it was. All I can say is integrity and honesty! After identifying that I had a minor issue and got my car running again, I practically begged them to find any other issues, just so I could feel like I wasn’t ripping them off (lol). Needless-to-say, they resolved the issue and my vehicle is back running. Thanks to Steve as well! I would highly recommend J&L Foreign Auto Center to anyone vehicle needs.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. This is the worst place ever. They really need to close down. The mechanics are not licensed. The owner and workers are not ethical. Your vehicle is at great risk if you bring it here. They care more about their dogs than your car. Trust me DONT DO IT!!!!! Zero Stars

A rip off all day very unprofessional I would not even waste my time taking my wheelbarrow there Dealt with them for 25 years and they got over on me give my car back worse than it was went through my interior stole my keychain first aid kit like what the hell screw these guys if my car broke down in front of their shop I'd push it across the street screw them I got pictures and receipts if anybody needs proof

I took my Porsche here and this place was great. They were quick, did great work, and were extremely transparent about everything. I cannot recommend them enough if you have a foreign car.

These guys really saved me. They happened to be right around the corner from where I was working. They happened to have a 23 year old BMW part in stock and had me fixed up before I was even late for work. I won't go anywhere else in Detroit!

I am extremely disappointed with this business, if you can call it one. They are not professional and certainly do not stand behind their work. I would have given it no stars, but I had to pick at least one star to be able to post this. Please believe that J and L is a no star establishment. Total rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brought my VW in telling them it is a throttle issue. They scanned my car, drove it, and moved the plugs around to diagnose it. After a week they hadn't done anything beyond that and hadn't looked at the throttle even after I asked them to. They said they couldn't get it to act up. I took it home and on my way home it acted up. I cleaned out the throttle and fixed a vacuum seal into the throttle and that fixed it. I felt ignored and they had no other diagnostic tools beyond their scanner. They were polite when speaking to me is why I gave them a 2 star instead of 1.

I paid to have them do a complete diagnostic test of my car. They came back with a list of issues which I paid and had them correct. Once I drove off, several lights came on to include Brakes, and Seat fault. I took it back only to learn that they didn’t check the brakes or tires, and I had to buy new brake pads and rotors. And the seat had to be removed to clear a fault. ( all at an additional charge) A week later the car stranded me about 15 miles away because the battery died. So took it back again. To get a new battery. And they double charged me for washer fluid. About $5,000 later, still have one unresolved issue that they wanted another $800 to fix, but charged me over $100 additional dollars to diagnose it. This is outside of the original diagnostic fee. Just poor service.
