This place is great. It is your quintessential neighborhood shop, and everyone is always very nice. They took care of me right away twice in a pinch, once for a nail in my tire and another time for a quick odometer & VIN inspection. The won my business by assessing my specific situations (both quick fixes) and not needlessly making me wait all day. Highly recommend.

Please be advised that John Jackson no longer owns and operates this business. John was always respectful of me and my finances. He would let you know what was a necessary repair and what could wait, and his prices were always in the low side of average. The new owners do not operate the same way. I brought my car in for one repair and they called me with a long list of other repairs they said it needed. No context, nothing broken down, just that for everything it would be $1000. I only authorized them to do the repair I had brought it in for, for which they quoted me $100 more than what I was expecting from my research. If I had not been eager to get the repair done I would have brought it somewhere else. The only positives I will say is the repair is now done and they offered to drop me off at work and picked me back up when the repairs were done. I would rather pay for an Uber and have a mechanic I trust. I will not be using this shop anymore.

This location is under new ownership and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and the service they provided. They quickly and reasonably got my work truck repaired and back on the road. Whenever any of my fleet vehicles need service this is the shop I will be going to from now on.

John is the best honest mechanic I know. He is my go to when I have any issues with my car. They happened to be closed and I took my car to another shop and let me tell you patience is a virtue. The whole is always A1 super attentive and don't play games my go to for car repairs. Thx John and team!

Every time I have called or came in, John has been extremely friendly and professional. He is always upfront and honest when diagnosing and recommending what to do. He has even recommended others when he feels they could the job quicker or easier. This is always my go to repair shop, because I know I will get a quick and honest answer anytime I go.

Best damn mechanic shop in town. John knows his stuff and keeps it honest with ya. Been taking my stuff here for a while now. Getting the jeep ready for the summer, be paying him a visit soon. Highly recommend calling them if ya need some work done.

Great customer service. Looked at my car for free, told me they couldn’t fix it as it is something only Toyota can fix. Appreciate greatly a mechanic’s honesty when so many want to make their receipts as long as possible.

I have driven >200k mile cars my whole life, so I'm very familiar with the inside of auto shops. I have found that between reliability, affordability, and technical competence, you can generally only pick two. I have gone to Jackson's Master auto for three big jobs in the past year and they consistently displayed all three. When a manufacturer sent a faulty part, John went above and beyond to make sure I didn't get screwed. Great people to work with.

John and his team are the absolute BEST in the business. I have been going here since I first got my license and will never go anywhere else (and I now live a bit far and am willing to travel). They are so honest, trustworthy and quick. You can always count on them to fit you in their schedule and take care of your vehicle as if it was their own. In 2020 I moved to St. Louis and decided the easiest place to get my car worked on was Dobbs. This was a rookie mistake, after experiencing some of the worst service and some slimy dealings, I discovered Master Auto! This place is amazing, has great staff, and the owner is extremely transparent with whatever is going on with your car. They won’t charge you for random extra fees, and the work they’ve done on my car has always exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a reliable place to get reasonable prices and honest work, Master Auto is THAT PLACE!

John(who owns the shop) couldn't be a better guy and trusted mechanic. He's saved me lots of $ by being honest and and only fixing what needs to be done. I had a major issue with my manual transmission that the dealership told me would be $2000 just to pull the transmission out to diagnose the problem without fixing it. John replaced a bolt that had fallen out and it was a $50. He definitely could've charged more

Only needed an inspection for license renewal. Checked 5 other places that wanted me to leave the car and they would work it in. Here he told me to be there at 8 when they opened. I was at the license office by 8:30.
