Called 2 separate days for same problem quote. One day they tell me $265 diagnosis other day they tell me $480 for diagnosis. Not their fault, the labor market is is out of control and every is jacking up prices. I’m here learning wiring diagrams and fixing my own car. On the up side, very pro and friendly on the phone. Nice guys working there

I have been a customer here for over forty years. The current owner is the son and nephew of the original founders. As long as he stays in business, no one else will do repairs and maintenance on my car. You must make an appointment if you want to take your Japanese car there.

I don't know about this place. Didn't want to give them a 1-star review because they didn't actually do any work on my car (more on that below), but also couldn't give them more stars because it was such a bizarre initial interaction. I brought a 1988 Acura Legend with only 91k miles on it for essentially a pre-purchase inspection but he told me flat out that he didn't want to work on it because it's "too old " Um, what? (NVM the fact that there's literally a picture of a 1970s Datsun in one of the Google results thumbnails.) Statements and questions like "Those cars have all kinds of problems" (never heard that before in my life about what is basically a fancy Honda Accord) and "That has the V6, right?" (all Legends had V6s) made me wonder exactly how much expertise this shop has. Also, only 6 other reviews as of this writing. I intentionally wanted to give them a shot because they're a small business that CLAIMS to specialize in Japanese cars. Very odd experience so think twice about taking your car here I guess unless it's brand new?

I had a great experience at Japan Automotive Specialists. I brought my Subaru in recently after a Check Engine light came on. I had the car checked out in a timely, professional and trustworthy manner, especially impressive during these times. The issue was so small that it was fixed in about 5 minutes. I will definitely bring my Surbaru back the next time I need service. Thank you again!

Steve is a trustworthy, genuine, and professional mechanic. I wouldn't dream of taking my car to anyone else. He does stellar work with a quick turn around and is such a kind person during the whole process. Highly recommend.

I have been taking my cars here for servicing for many years. The business was established by the father and uncle of the present owner. The service is outstanding. An appointment is absolutely necessary.
