I was referred to Jason Imports by a friend with the same type of car. I couldn't be happier! I've been taking my car to Nick for 4 years, and he's extremely knowledgeable and honest. So many people on Google reviews give bad reviews based on a phone call. None of them have had their car worked on. Unfortunately, in today's society, people confuse honesty with rudeness. Not everyone is a good customer. When you're in business as long as them, you can pick and choose who you deal with.

Horrible service, I simply called for a quote on a diagnostic and a timing replacement and he was rude, didn't understand what I was saying to him and then ended the conversation with I have customers to take care of. Am I not a potential customer? I wanted quotes before I have my car towed 🫤

I called to get a pricing on some work I needed done on my car and the guy that answered the phone was extremely rude I didn't even get a chance to ask about the service I needed I just hung up my phone. If customer service is horrible then I can only imagine how bad the work is so I'm good on this shop. Do better with y'all service cause u just lost a potential customer

I have a diesel vw (which I'll never own another, ever) and I called to get advice on what to do because my car won't start, plus I'm looking for a good diesel mechanic. I've had some people say it could be the battery or the fuel gelled up. I call and spoke to some man with an accent to see what he would recommend, even to say to tow it in so we can determine what the issue is. He proceeded to treat me like I was stupid for not knowing more about a diesel and telling me those care were made to start. He then kept telling me that he was experienced and I already had my solutions and to talk to someone else. I asked why he was being so rude to me when I was just asking what he'd recommend. He said something about he was stuck talking to people like me and how I should talk to someone else. I said "People like me? Because I'm a woman?" I then said "since these cars are made to start, have you come across this issue before with this car? What should I do?". His reply while laughing "that's like asking me if the Pope has been to church". All I needed was to know was what my options were, worst case he would say to tow it in and we'll see what's going on. I was going to give him my business, not now. I ended up calling another place where the mechanic was patient with me and my questions and he said "without the car here, it's hard to tell". Which is all I wanted. Whoever I talked to at Jason's was extremely rude and unprofessional. Maybe he should understand that not everyone is a wiz with cars and that the main mode of transportation is not working, it's frustrating. Unless you like chauvinistic jerks, don't use this place.

Honest shop, Nick is straightforward and shows you root of the problem and how he resolved using oem parts. Just bring him your car and let him work and you will be happy with the results.

I called to get a ballpark quote for a rather simple service. I was told they are too busy and he could not give me a quote. I explained I didn't need the service done right away, I was looking for a ballpark number on how much it would set me back. He once again said he was too busy. 1st if you are too busy give a verbal quote over then phone, then why pick up the phone? 2nd There should be no correlation between the cost of a service and how busy you currently are. Especially when it was expressed I can wait for the service to be done. 3rd I understand why these reviews are terrible.

I've been bringing my 07 Audi to Nick for about 2 years now for various repairs. He's changed my manifold, brakes, oil changes, found vacuum leaks, and did a general overhaul when I first bought the car...and yes it needed a lot of work. I will continue to bring my car here because he is thorough, he shows me what he replaced and why and explains how it most likely failed. In my eyes the prices are reasonable and his work has never let me down. I now live in Waukesha and as long as My car can drive, I will keep making the trip to take it here when it needs something done to it.

Best place on the south side of Milwaukee for foreign auto service. I’ve been going there the last five or more years for yearly oil changes, brakes, new tires and anything else that ever goes wrong with my Mercedes even things as small as changing bulbs on headlights and taillights. Great service, fast and reliable and especially economical. Highly recommended for anyone looking for import services after your warranty expires.

My husband and I have been using Jason auto for over 30 years. We each have always has foreign cars and Nick has been wonderful to deal with. He is honest and hard working and we can always trust that he will not suggest work that doesn’t need to be done. We just had another oil change and once again Nick did a thorough job and gave us information on the condition of the car. We hope he continues to work for many years. Joanne d

Super unprofessional when I called to inquire if my car could be worked on. I was referred from one mechanic (from another shop) to give them a call and see if they could replace one specific part on my car since I drive a Nissan. When called and I gave them the repair history of my current vehicle, so that they would know exactly what to do to get my car serviced. Instead, I dealt with an extremely combative mechanic on the phone who told me that my story was too long, and I am talking about “all these different parts”, it’s a shame, because all I was doing was telling him what had been repaired on my car, and what I was needing from them. He began to get fairly hostile on the phone when I had enough of him being rude and unprofessional and I called him out on why he was questioning me as if I was being interrogated I had simply informed him that I was no longer interested in dealing with him and his business, because of how unprofessional combative and dismissive he was being on the phone and that I will be leaving a review of how you possibly will be treated since their customer service is ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE, don’t deal with them take your business to import auto or any other import auto shop.

probably great, rude enough to not find out

At first the owner was helpful, he even suggested a towing service to help us get our vehicle to the shop so that he could diagnose the issues on a vehicle that would not start. After the vehicle has been towed to the garage he changes his tune to completely different station. When I show up to sign the paperwork for him to proceed with the diagnosis he acts as though he wasn't told the car wouldn't start. He's annoyed that he'll have to charge the battery and have the car pushed into the garage from the parking space on his lot. I am fairly certain this is a regular occurrence for any repair shop, and don't see why it's an issue. I then asked why we would tow a vehicle, at his recommendation if that car was drive-able, to which he had no answer. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, despite the numerous bad reviews here. Maybe he's too busy, maybe this man is overworked or understaffed, or he needs a receptionist to help him communicate and organize his work. We couldn't resolve the misunderstanding and we will have to pay for a second tow. Do Not Recommend.

Called to discuss coolant change, gentleman scheduling service quickly wrote me off because I did some of the repairs myself. Quickly dismissed me and my questions, was trying to find a new European repair mechanic in the area, this will not be it

Do not use Jason Imports! Very unprofessional and no customer service skills whatsoever. Other reviews here mimic my experience. He originally quoted me a $60-$80 price to diagnose my non running VW Jetta. I had it towed in to his shop and then followed up with a phone call to discuss the issue. He then doubled the verbal estimate cost because the battery was dead and he had to move the car indoors to jumpstart or charge the battery before diagnosing the issues. Very confrontational attitude and rude to both me and my son. Ended up having my car towed to another shop where they value you as a customer and actually want to help you. Avoid Nick and Jason Imports at all costs!

Nick is direct but competent. We have 3 Mercedes and I trust him with all of them. He is less expensive than the dealer and he does a better job. He is knowledgeable and thoroughly explains what needs to be done and what does not need to be done. He uses OEM Mercedes parts.

The owner actually told me to go somewhere else after giving me instructions to come in the next day. When I showed up, he told me he didn’t have time to do my vehicle and told me to “go across the street” lol - glad I didn’t end up going there. Rude and unprofessional

The repairman with attitude complained about all the work he had and stated he didn’t want to see my car when I came by to ask questions about having work done. Horrible customer service and I will never have mechanic work done here.

One of the most competent auto mechanics I've dealt with in my lifetime. A highly satisfied customer for almost twenty years!

Very good service and reasonable prices if you don't mind used parts. Major parts like brakes and muffler are new.

Great technician, takes the extra effort to do things the correct way!

We have unfortunately needed a mechanic for a used car we recently purchased. The team at Jason Imports has been fantastic. Communicative, quick, and fair pricing. Even worked directly with VW to have them ship a part for a defective item and cover all costs, both part and labor. Now we take both our VW and Toyota to him!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.. They will tear your car completely apart keep it for months and give you 1,000 excuses then when you say something no one even apologizes try to make it better...lawsuit is on way. Especially don’t deal with a mechanic named Dirk dirt whatever...

I called to get information and the person on the other end of the line was extremely rude. If you as an owner can’t be respectful towards your clientele, I really don’t know what kind of a business you’re running.

Great Shop, Great Work

I was referred to speak to Nick by another mechanic, and Nick was just rude. I will not bring my car in if you can’t treat me, a new customer, with respect. If you don’t show great customer service to me as a human, then I don’t trust you to work on my car. Never recommending this place to anyone!

Outstanding mechanic! Great work at a reasonable price. I’ve been going to Nick for 20+ years. Always quality work and only does what’s necessary. If your car is worth $3,000 and it needs $1,500 in repair, he’ll say you may want to put that $1,500 toward a down payment of another car. That’s the sign of an honest good mechanic. Also, his work is done promptly.?

Did not get any work done. Simply stopped in to ask a couple question and was made to feel like my business didnt matter at all, and every other car was so much more important than mine.

I have had the best experience with Jason Imports, regardless from what others have been saying who have not followed through with taking their cars in here. I was coming back to Milwaukee for Christmas and called a week ahead of time to schedule an appointment to have my timing kit replaced on my JW TDI. I was also having some oil leak issues that I needed to have checked out. The mechanic told me to bring it in early Friday morning before Christmas Eve. He spent all day working on my car, and constantly kept me updated on the progress. Him and his wife ended up staying at the shop hours past closing so that I could have my car done before Christmas Eve, the next day. I see many people confuse his Eastern-European upbringing as "rude." This is a major misconception. Given that he is the only mechanic at his family-run shop, I'm sure when his wife is out, he is trying to spend most of his time scheduling appointments and working on customer's cars rather than waste time with customers with fragile egos. He doesn't need to have to spend several minutes to sweet talk people over the phone. The quality of work he does builds trust instead, like it should. He does have a "straight to the point" kind of attitude, but I trust him all-the-more because he has shown his extensive knowledge in imported vehicles, along with his extreme dedication for quality. I would rather wait to drive back from out-of-state to have him work on my car, than any other mechanic anywhere else.
