Rick did a new timing belt on my daughter’s 92 Subaru last year after our usual mechanic refused to work on it “ because it was old.” He did an excellent job and this little suby is still running great at over 300,000 miles. And so many times over the years I called about an issue with one of my Subarus and he would do a possible diagnosis over the phone and he would be spot on Everytime! I think our 3rd gen 4Runners will start going here for repairs.

I have been going to Jeff’s since I moved to Albuquerque in 1994 when Jeff owned it and then since Rick (who worked with Jeff) bought the business when Jeff retired. Top-notch place. Rick is always straight with us, very knowledgeable, professional and personable and willing to go the extra mile. Never had a bad experience with him.

Brought my 2003 subaru forrester to Jeff's gasoline alley for repair. Nick was able to diagnose the problem and alert me to another problem it had. Both were taken care of. Great place for honest repair and service. Will be back in the future for maintenance. Thank you. Sheila

I 100% recommend this place. They are transparent and kept me informed the whole process. They repaired another auto shops damage and I wish I could have came to them in the first place. I informed them I needed my car by a certain day and I got it back without the runaround. Thank you again.

Woman who answered was rude and hung up on me when wanting estimate for clutch for pontiac vibe which has Corolla engine. She said we only do japanese cars. I will never take my business there!

Jeff's Gasoline Alley does top-notch work at a fair price, and above all I trust and respect them. Rick is a straight shooter. He goes out of his way and will work with the customer to find the best solution. Unlike a few other businesses I have worked with, he doesn't simply look for ways to do and charge for unnecessary work. Staff in the front office are as polite and professional as they can be. When I last dropped my car off, I could not sit inside while waiting for my Uber ride due to COVID restrictions but she brought me a chair and a cold water bottle. FInding a good auto repair shop is one of the hardest and most stressful things, and I have had many previous bad experiences. Since coming to Jeff's, that is one less thing I have to worry about. I would not hesitate to recommend Jeff's to anyone.

We've been bringing my wife's nearly 20-year-old Subaru to Rick for a few years and we've never been disappointed with the work, the fair pricing, and professionalism. Our first visit involved some major work and the cost was about half what the dealership quoted. And the car ran like new when Rick worked his magic!

Overcharged for coil pack. Also got an alternator last year and this year it’s already done and it wasn’t even changed and if it was it was not with the part I was charged for. May seem nice but the prices aren’t worth the work.

Our Toyota Highlander blew an oil cooler line and dumped all of the engine oil. A common problem with this year and model of Highlander. The problem happened late in the day. Called Jeff's Gasoline Alley and they said bring it in. Managed to get the car towed right before they closed. Rick, owner, researched to see if there was any factory recall which would have been a free replacement, there wasn't. That was great of him to check! There, however, was an upgraded part to fix Toyota's design flaw. Rick and his crew did a great job to fix the problem and have me back up and running by the afternoon of the next day. The price was extremely fair. Outstanding job!! Would absolutely recommend Jeff's gasoline alley.

Been going to Jeff's Gasoline Alley for more than 20 years. Rick is the most honest man you'll ever meet. I always just tell him to do whatever needs to be done, that's how much I trust him. My 20 year old Toyota that's been in his care since the beginning just turned over 200,000 miles. If you own a foreign car in Albuquerque, you should be taking it to Jeff's.

Rick is truly the best and most thorough mechanic you will ever find. He really cares about his customers and remembers the details of their cars. He is always available to listen to his customers and get their car's problem correctly identified. After he completes his work, he makes sure you understand each item on your bill and what was done. He also keeps you abreast of what work may need to be addressed soon. He checks all those little things that other shops never bother with as part of his regular service routine. He is a true profession.

I've been going to Jeff's with a variety of Subaru, Honda and Nissan cars since 1993, and I tend to own older cars which need regular repairs. Jeff's continues to be honest and reliable. They aren't the cheapest place in town, but I've never had them tell me something is fixed when it isn't, and I've never had an ongoing problem with a repair they've done. They do the work right the first time, every time. Jeff's only works on imported cars, so the times when I have owned an American made car I've been forced to go elsewhere, and definitely noticed the difference. The folks at Jeff's are also willing to tell you when something really needs to be fixed, vs. when it's a problem where you can wait a little while longer to repair, which is helpful to me.

This is the only auto shop where we simply drop off our cars and say "do what needs to be done". They do exactly that, what needs to be fixed. They are good about balancing the age/condition of the car with how much money should be put into it. We have been taking our foreign cars here for 18 years and have never had a problem. In fact, we will not buy a domestic car anymore, because it means dealing with another shop. We once had to have the car towed and it turned out to be a couple of dollar part which they fixed for free. It is so nice to be able to trust a car repair place and not have to feel like you are being "taken for a ride". Highly recommend.
