A Cautionary Tale: Beware of Overpriced Repairs at Jiffy Lube* I recently had a fan belt break on my way home from work, and I pulled into the nearest Jiffy Lube, worried about overheating. The technician quoted me $150 for the replacement, which left me stunned. Despite my reservations, I agreed due to the urgency. However, things took a turn when the technician checked my car's make and model, said that the price might increase. I was shocked, considering it's just a fan belt. I have no tools with me and I'm too far from home I just said okay. The technician look at the belt. declined to perform the repair, citing it was "too hard." I waited for a tow truck, then brought tools from work and replaced the belt myself in just over 15 minutes, paying only $24 for the part. The hardest part? Washing my hands afterward. As a diesel mechanic, I've seen many young apprentices come from places like this place, sharing stories of being pushed to oversell customers. This experience reinforced my skepticism. $150 for a $24 belt and 15 minutes of work is outrageous. And under any normal circumstance, I never stopped here. I just replace the belt myself. If I had the tools I would have just done it by the road, 2 bolts to move CAC out of the way and the belt was on. In emergency situations or without knowledge, customers may feel forced to accept such prices. But I implore others to be cautious and scrutinize quotes. *Rating:* 1/5 stars (would be 0 if possible) *Lesson learned:* Always question prices, and consider brushing up a little bit on your knowledge of your vehicle if possible.

I brought my car into the shop for a simple brake fluid change and spark plug change. When they changed the plugs and started the car there was a knocking noise from the engine and it didn’t want to stay running. They took it apart and threw it back together then told us “it should be fine”. Once we made it down the road the check engine light came on and we went right back. We were told cylinder 2 and 3 were now miss firing and they did not know why. After questioning them their license mechanic showed up to the shop drunk and threatened me and my grandmother and said they were refusing to fix it. He tried to make one of the techs drive my care out of the shop with my intake wide open. Now I have a car that I don’t know what’s wrong with it and i am out 360 bucks. I will have to take my car to ford and call jiffy lube corporate so please do not take your car here. I will update with pictures and proof of billing soon.

Later afternoon visit - not too busy when I arrived but they got busy fast. I watched everyone rush around and handle multiple customers with kindness & professionalism. Kyle went above and beyond today and with his stellar service & because of him I will now make this my go to place. We ran into a few minor issues and he absolutely crushed it. If he didn’t have an immediate fix, he offered a good suggestion. I didn’t feel like just another car to get through so he could leave. It was damn refreshing and a good change. We need more Kyle!!

Wow! What a great experience! Kyle and his team were very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I came in for an oil change and Kyle mentioned that he saw a few things that needed attention. He carefully explained what I should take care of, how long it was going to take and how much it would cost. I will definitely be getting regular oil changes and check ups there! Awesome service that exceeded expectations. The guys were kind and welcoming. Service was completed in 15 minutes. Jake even offered to removed stubborn tree sap and glue from my windshield at no extra charge.

Don’t take the word of a fake tree. I don’t know who twisted their branches in a knot… this jiffy lube is amazing. They go the extra mile to make sure you’re safe on the road and are friendly while doing it. I’m not sure what is in your car that makes you uncomfortable letting a tech get in and drive all of 10 feet, but it’s their job they are professional while doing it. Maybe try spreading your leaves, climb out of that car and have a conversation with someone new. You never know you might just meet another Willow tree, or make a bud-dy. :)

I was treated so rudely here today. I wanted to stay in the car during the oil change and he said it is against the policy. That's okay. No problem. But the way the conversation went with Tyler was just so unnecessarily hostile and rude. I said I was surprised because I had always stayed in the car before and wondered when the policy had changed. He said "if you don't like it you don't have to get your oil changed here" and "don't use our business if you don't like it" in a rude and sort of aggressive way. I felt shocked and verbally attacked by his tone. I never used a rude tone or refused to go inside. I was going to just take his advice and leave but I had a brake light out as well as needing the oil change. So I parked the car and went inside and talked to Cody. Cody saved the situation by being civil and helping find a coupon for my oil change. I didn't want to go into it with tyler but the reason I had questioned the policy at all is I injured my back recently and getting in and out and sitting in the lobby is difficult. I have been a customer of jiffy lube for 25+ years but I'm thinking of changing due to how I was treated there today

They had a policy change where they now have to park the car over the grease pit and can't stay in our own vehicle. Tools were used that are normally not used to finish certain tasks, and the vibe was off. It is now inconvenient and uncomfortable having a stranger in the car, and it's far from as jiffy as the name suggests now. This is enough for me to not want to return to this location, as that was the only selling point.

Took my 2018 Honda Civic in to get an oil change. Later in the day, I discovered that "rock guard" was dragging on the ground. Jiffy Lube didn't properly bolt it back into place after doing my oil change. Apparently this is a pretty common thing. I went back and they fixed it and gave me back my money on the oil change. That was nice of them, but they shouldn't have done this to begin with. I will not go back to any Jiffy Lube for future oil changes.
