I vote Jimmy’s Autocare is Top of the Line ! He has always found time for me with last minute oil, filter, and lube changes. He has the patience to deal with my incessant almost stupid questions about my Toyota Sienna 2010 minivan and how long it will last ! Brake jobs, windshield front and back repairs, headlamp changes, weird noises, are all in a day’s work ! He even recommended another muffler shop nearby who I could trust when my muffler was dragging in the street ! Fair prices and excellent services are all I can expect from Jim Not to leave out Dina, who is highly entertaining and accommodating at the service desk when you need advice ! A great addition to the neighborhood when he opened shop two blocks from my house ! Thank You Jimmys Autocare !

Jimmy's Auto Care is everything you want from a mechanic. trustworthy, open and honest. They could have charged me for an expensive part but recommended I go to the dealer and check for a warranty. Will be going back to Jimmy's for sure!

I had a check engine light on my car and my regular mechanic was out of town so I gave Jimmy Auto Care a call. He was gracious and told me bring it in the same day. He looked at it right away I left the car overnight. He did a full diagnostics on it. I think he's one of the best mechanics in the neighborhood I recommend him to anybody out there and if I have any other issues in the future I have no hesitation on bringing my car in again. Great and courteous service!

Jimmy managed another shop I used for several years until they sold to an out of state corporation. Jimmy's treats you right as a customer. They diagnose the problem give you a fair estimate and do a good repair, no up-sell or unnecessary work. It is a pleasure working with Dina in the office. Glad to see a longtime trusted local guy staying local.

Had a problem with my 2012 Vette and 2 other repair shops couldn’t diagnose the problem. The passengers door window continually went up and there was a clicking sound coming from the door. Called a Chevrolet dealer who said because it was an electrical problem it would cost $410 just to put the car on their computer and diagnose the problem. Took a pass on that and after having a friend recommend Jimmys I went there. He took off the door , found the problem and repaired it by replacing a part. And it was a lot less than the $410 I was quoted just for the diagnosis. Good guy does a great job and reasonable prices

I am a foreigner here and I just moved to Chicago 2 months ago. It's difficult to find a reliable and honest mechanic in the town. I’ve known Jimmy for 4-5 years now, before he opened his own shop and was a mechanic at another business. I won’t go to any other person for anything. He’ll never hit you over the head with any unnecessary cost, and will let you know your options of things that are urgent and things that could be taken care of down the line. His wife, Dina, who works in the office is a gem too.

We were visiting Asheville from Wisconsin and I pretty much destroyed our brakes (not knowing how to drive in the mountains). They took pity on me, and accommodated us very quickly. They even gave us a loaner that fit our whole crew! They were courteous, thorough, and fairly priced on top of everything else. I was greatly appreciative and would highly recommend their shop.

I have been going to Jimmy for over 15 years. Originally I was sent to him by another mechanic. He was in charge of a shop and Chicago. When he left I was heartbroken. Needless to say I was driving down Elston and there was Jimmy’s auto care. I was so excited to see him set up in his own place! I think he really knows his stuff. He is honest. He loves his customers and tries to get the work done in a timely fashion. He now has a gal at the front desk answering the phone and helping out. I believe her name is Gina. I really like her too. The area that you wait is nice and bright. Another option is McDonald’s is just a short walk away. You can have a coffee and read your paper Before you know it your job is done. I am just so glad that I found Jimmy!

Jimmy did a great job on my brakes, pads & rotors. Also needed a full synthetic oil change and he even did a full auto/engine inspection without me having to ask, seeing that my ride has some miles on it. He found a few things that won't be an issue for about a year. as he stated, depending on how I drive. Lots of insight and nuance. Clean, thorough, professional, experienced and I get the feeling he really cares. Pricing is very fair. He reminds me of my doctor, but for my SUV. This doc is a keeper.
