I recommend you don’t go there . I had my car diagnostic but they are asking me to do the diagnostic with them. I showed them the paper that I had, then they said bullshit. There was an old man and an old lady like a homeless. DON’T GO THERE .

Came for an oil change and 2 weeks later my car started leaking oil turns out they stripped my bolt and wouldn’t take credit for it. They than proceeded to have attitude when I asked them about it. Worst service don’t recommend to anybody ever Edit- next day after them all my lights on my dash turned on. Not clear what they did to my car but it never had a problem in the past Do Not Come Here repeat do not come here ever

This is the only local shop I trust. They have done good work for me, have reasonable prices and have been honest about repairs needed, whether existing or from in house issues. I am always skeptical and not very trusting, so it is nice to have a place I can rely on. The staff I have worked with are supportive and friendly. I would recommend this business.

My Personal Mechanic 🧰, for a 2006 MINI COOPER S, that I am Restoring, slowly but Surely 😉!!! Exterior is Clean, kept up, and garaged ..... Mostly getting drivetrain and suspension parts replaced and upgraded. They're even helping me replace a worn out leather Drivers Seat 💺... I Highly recommend they're AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE SPECIAL!!!! Great Service and Knowledge! Tell Ur Friends 😁

Vary Bad Business. Took my car in for a check engine light. They said it’s a sensor. Oh by the way your radiator is leaking and your breaks and rotors need changing and more. I said ok fix it all. They said it will be 2 days and it end up being 4. I picked up my car today and 5min after leaving my check engine light came on. I went back and found out nothing was done. All the new parts end up being in their shop. And they admitted to not doing the work. Check your vehicle before paying. Just don’t go to J&J automotive on Gerber Rd.

I had JJ's automotive work on my classic Oldsmobile. I Spent a few thousand on the project. Out of four items that needed repair. (1) new radiator , (2) fix speedometer, (3) new carburetor and (4) fix battery terminal cables. I had problems with everything ! The new radiator wasn't properly mounted , causing it to fall on my fan. Speedometer only worked for a couple of weeks and went out. The new carb wasn't properly installed and they bent the throttle hinge. Terminal cables looked like my 8 year old son could have done a better job. This place does half fast work. What a nightmare. I had to hire a different mechanic to fix everything . I'm basically paying double for something that should have been done right the first time. DON'T TAKE YOUR CLASSIC CAR TO JJ'S AUTOMOTIVE!!!!

Transmission in 06 Acura TL failed. Diagnosed by a mid-town Sacramento garage. Friend who’s had two transmissions in his trucks replaced by these folks, recommended J&J Automotive, and stated they were more affordable vs. other shops in mid-town Sacramento, where I endured a $230 diagnostic fee! And like a few shops, they are closed over the weekend. Was quoted about $2800 in the beginning. After discovering all engine/ transmission mounts were shredded and recommended to replace all of them immediately. I confirmed the work. I was required to make a down payment and payed a $1000 down payment and upon delivery, 10 April the balance, $3,152 was due. Still less than other shops I had looked into. Apparently received a discount on labour which in this case any reduction in price was welcome. And the charming couple waited beyond closing to receive my payment. I collected my vehicle the following morning since everything was parked under the roof for the evening. Following morning I arrived to collect my vehicle. Car has security lug nuts on all tires and found the two they had to remove in the centre console. I wondered how they were able to get them off without knowing where it was in my vehicle. They never asked me for it and I never thought about it until I saw the lug nuts in my console. Requested they put them back on, and they were glad to oblige. Technician recommended I have a wheel alignment performed soon so as to straighten up the steering ratio. To myself I wondered why that was not included and found out they don’t have equipment to perform that service. Still a recommendation to a preferred shop or even better, a relationship with a shop to where it could be sent and returned; then it could be considered a complete service, might have been helpful. I simply contacted Acura dealer and had a four wheel alignment performed for $149. Steers straight as an arrow. I am glad to have my TL back and running.

The man who does the work on the cars is kind and professional, but the lady that takes the calls and handles billing is not worth dealing with and is the complete opposite of man. They will charge you for multiple diagnostic fees even if you go back for the same thing, just to make sure it is still the same thing... I had them do a specific job request that was suggested by les schwab; only to have them say I still need a diagnostic fee... I had to put my foot down on that.

I drive a PT Cruiser which is one of the worst cars to work on. Came in for an alternator and a few other things. Shanon was extremely helpful both with understanding the work needed and pricing. Zack was the technician who did the work and I’m beyond impressed!! Normally a repair much easier than this would have taken other shops 3+ days to do and he got it all done within a SINGLE day, even with having to order a new part since the was I provided was bad. I’ve never been willing to write such a positive review, they really deserve it. I’ll definitely be coming back, just hopefully with an easier car 😂

I would not and I repeat would not take my car to j and j autos every time. They have left part of my car. I just settled with them today. $330000 later. They had to pay for my parts that they left off my car. Word of advice, check your car after leaving there.

I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. Always been honest with me. Great service. And although they have been short handed, we're still able to get the job done on my truck. I'm grateful to Joe and staff. Also want to thank Shannon for holding it down and keeping me informed of the progress.
