Took my 06 Acura MDX in for a A/C leak detection. Received their call with Blessed results located the problem not to mention they stated that they were not going to charge for recharging the A/C. Definitely affordable pricing and would highly recommend Joes Auto Service. Personally it’s hard to find honest mechanics these days but if you do they’re worth keeping and referring others to.

If you have a Prius or any kind of electric/hybrid car, I would highly recommend not coming here. I was giving a long list of things that would need to be addressed but when I took it to another mechanic, I was told it was just one issue. This place was either incompetent in identifying the true issue or wanted to take advantage of me and overcharge me hundreds (almost a thousand) in services. Regardless, I would warn you to take your vehicle to get a second opinion is things don’t seem to be right. Edit to address the respond from the owner: NO, I live in LA. I travel extensively so the reviews you saw on my profile are going to be from many different places. My review was for your shop. Based on the response you are giving to the customers who have had bad experiences with you, you are not only being extremely professional but also trying to invalidate real and accurate reviews. You guys were shady with your service and now your responses are confirming what type of scammers you people can be.

Mike (mechanic) wanted to charge my cousin $900 plus tax for a basic tune up on a prius. Spark plugs air and cabin filter (should cost $200 max). Brake pad and oil change (should cost $150 max). Then some unnecessary services like decarbonization, and injector, and throttle body cleaning (somehow costs $550). I tried to ask for a break down of the charges and no one could give me an explanation. In the end they charged $120 diagnostic fee, really high, a lot of places will do this for free. They lied and said all of these things were necessary. The check engine light was for the battery. So after "fixing" all this, the car still needed a new battery. The worst part is when we picked up the car they put it inside to "put things back", they disconnected a sensor. Meaning either they are either incompetent and careless, or malicious. Either way stay away from these overpriced idiots. They tried to take advantage of my cousin, thankfully he called me. You might not be so lucky. So far we erased the code, and added oil, the car has no more lights and is driving fine. So much for their diagnosis.

I have many years doing my Oil changes in this shop and i have only good things to say. Customer service is really good, today i took my car for bleeding my brakes after having a hard time myself and another mecanic and this shop repaired it really good. Good job!!
