As always, John Ellis the mechanics checked & expertly prepared my RAV 4 for a long 2 weekroad trip all across California!!! Upon return, they arranged for a specialized locksmith to create a new electronic key for the one I had lost!!! First rate service & attention to detail!!! 💪👍🙏🏻😂

I brought my car in because I had a flat tire and I don’t have a spare so I just wanted them to fix the tire. They did just that! They were very courteous and it took no time at all. I would recommend their garage to my friends and family.

Once again John Ellis and son comes through. My rear brake light was not working and and then my trunk wouldn't open. I brought it in for a diagnostic and they gave me a quote. They called shortly thereafter saying that they had completed the work. They found the issue in the wiring and completed the work sooner than expected and charged me almost half of the original quote. They are my go-to mechanics and I trust them more than I've ever trusted anyone with my car.

I’ve only been using John Ellis more frequently in the past several years, but I’m a Sacramento native and have heard great things about them since I started driving. The quality of work is alway top notch, with only the best parts used, and the jobs come with a guarantee. Some seek a better price, but i know that with JE comes peace of mind, as as life becomes more busy, it’s comforting to know that quality car maintenance and repair is something I don’t have to stress about when they perform the job. I definitely recommend JE to anyone who wants to put their vehicles in the hands of honest, knowledgeable people—from the front to the back of the operation.

They fit me in their schedule right away to remove a nail from my tire and patch the hole. Straight forward experience with a quote up front and no attempts to expand their services into a more lucrative transaction. If I lived down there I would go to them again.

I was a loyal customer for a couple of years and started noticing a few things I wasn’t satisfied with starting with having to pay the increasing diagnostic cost for inconclusive results on more than one occasion. It seemed there attitude towards me changed, even still I had a 12 year old AC that was making noise but was fictional and they decided it needed replacing. I was and am very disappointed with the AC replacement done on my vehicle, after several failed attempts at installing refurbished foreign parts they decided virtue signal to me and told me they would install the oem ( proper) replacement, well here 4000 dollars and two summers later the compressor doesn’t even come on. It has leakage from every seal, of course when I called it’s not in warranty, and of course the guy on the phone offered to take a look, obviously for a price, one I can no longer afford. This place also left a bad impression when my transmission failed. This is after the ac issue last year before I noticed the ac not working. When my transmission failed the guy on the phone told me the quote and pretty much told me I can just give them my entire vehicle to pay them for the diagnostic all in the same breath like wow. I guess he new I’d been bled dry .

This is my local mechanic, and they are excellent. Inspections are very thorough, and John Ellis & Son provides a texted link to the report you can save or share easily which I appreciate. I have brought numerous cars in, and they always give me honest quotes without trying to tack on useless fees/work. Matthew deserves a special shout out for his help getting my Jeep fixed up and recommending services that would be the most affordable for me, even going so far to recommend shops that could do more specialized work. If you are looking for a ‘go-to’ shop in the Sacramento area, look no further. Keep up the good work guys.

This is my new favorite repair shop. I went in with a break light issue (the lights wouldn't turn off). They said that finding the problem could cost as much as $425. They called me back the next day and said the car was fixed. They charged me $225 instead. That never seems to happen at these places anymore. They have a loyal customer now.

We use them for both vehicles and they’re always great. Easy to communicate with. They’re there for you when things happen last minute. My car broke down this week and they took me in same day and fixed everything within 48 hours. 5 star experiences for us!
