Extremely efficient-run auto shop as you book your own appointment online. Friendly staff will greet you. Price of your repair is laid out on the table with no hidden costs. Jolene’s will even offer you a Lyft ride home within a 10-mile radius. I highly recommend this repair shop!!

I just moved to Portland and my car had broken down. I didn’t know where to go. I chose Jolene’s because of the positive reviews. I got it towed in last minute and it was running before the weekend. Additionally, they quoted me for the repair, then it turned out it was going to be more difficult to get the work done due to previous damage. They did not increase the price due to this and I am very grateful for that. Johnathan is very helpful and there was straightforward correspondence in phone calls and text messages.

Jolene’s auto repair did a great job on my engine replacement. They stayed on top of communication when the parts delivery was delayed. They quoted me reasonably and stayed at the agreed upon number when the job became more complicated. They also tested my vehicle for two days after the work was complete to make sure everything was really working before it left their hands. I appreciated this level of commitment and friendly service. I will be returning next time I need work done and I will also be recommending this shop to my friends.

I had a rainy day emergency where my window wouldn't roll up. I called around to the nearest mechanic to me and the general manager, Johnathan, told me to bring it in on the spot. They got it up for me in 2 minutes, and didn't charge for their time. I've probably never had better customer service from a small shop mechanic. I'll be taking my car here from now on for routine maintenance and repairs! Grade A service and attitude all around, thanks guys!

I needed a quick check-up because my car was making a strange noise. Jonathan told me that if it was something they could fix in 15 minutes, it would be free of charge. And that’s exactly what happened. They adjusted the serpentine belt and kept their promise. They have excellent service and attention. I am very grateful!

Jolene's Auto Repair has been the best discovery! Previously they checked out a warning light and even assisted me with changing a filter on my Toyota RAV4. So I took the car in for an oil change. Jonathan is so pleasant and helpful, explained what may need attention and I picked up my car within hours of dropping it off!

So, I feel lucky to have Jolene's near me. They have done several oil changes/maintenance/DEQ checks on my Kia. I have found them friendly, informative, and prices reasonable. Customer Service has been amazing!! Be aware it is NOT a "dealer" situation with fancy waiting rooms, etc. It is small, down-home, and they just do the biz. Refreshing. Highly Recommend!!

Honest Auto Repair is a fantastic shop! They not only repaired my 2011 Chevy Tahoe, but came in $200 under the estimate, dropped me off at home that morning but stayed to fix my transmission problem until 7:00pm on a Friday(closed at 5pm) to complete the repair knowing that I had only one vehicle. Plus they delivered my vehicle to my home around 7:30pm because I’m disabled. I will definitely refer these guys to My family and friends. Thank you Honest Auto! Monte Landaker

My experience dealing with Jolene’s is confusing to say the least! You contact me after the initial work you did for me that was completed and payed for after a lengthy wait for a part! Then you quoted an estimate 7/2024 for over $3000 dollars. You quoted it again on 8/26/2024. With NO other work done on my car since picking it up from your shop. I go on 8/27/2024 to DEQ and PASS the inspection! Were you going to charge me over $3000 dollars for work apparently I DID NOT need??? I’m an older disabled women!! Were you guys trying to exploit me!!! There are laws against that!! These are the FACTS of my experience!! I’m confused! That “Honesty” that you pride your company on…was it not applied to me?? Maybe I was suppose to be a victim. Instead of a valued customer!!!

We encountered issues beyond our control and they were very reasonable on pricing and didn’t charge me for extraneous labor. However, the pricing structure is different versus other more hourly shops, so be aware. All in all- great work, friendly and Rick knows his stuff.

I luv Jolene's , so much that I made a piece of artwork for them with a picture of Dolly Partons album cover entitled Jolene ! Johnathon , in the office was very patient with me in helping me understand the nature of my repairs , they were very courteous, diligent and thorough with my old Chevy Tahoe art car , oh and the fact that they have a female mechanic by the name of Haley was a big selling point for me when I went in search of my new auto repair shop , I was specifically looking for a Mom and Pop shop and I will be using them again for all my repair needs , I highly recommend them !

I took my VW Vanagon to Jolene's on July 9th, and a mechanic was able to do a diagnosis the next morning. I was told it needed new front brake pads and front brake rotors, for an estimated price of $1,303 and 39 cents, and needed new suspension shock or strut for estimated $1,905 and 50 cents. The amount seemed really high. I hadn't taken it to my usual place because they couldn't get to me for a week and a half ( often a sign of a better repair place ), but I called and got the opinion of the manager there. He felt the prices were really high too. So, I made an appointment with him, and called and told the receptionist at Jolene's that I'd decided to wait a week and take it there instead. He said, "If you get a lower price, call us, and we should be able to come down." Hmm... How about just giving a fairer price the first time? I biked down to pick up my VW. I paid the $165 for the diagnosis, then I went to get my VW. I was quite surprised to see the mechanic who drove it around hadn't even bothered to put the emergency brake on! It was in gear only. I went in and said so to the receptionist. He said, "Well, it's on a flat area." No, it wasn't, there was a slight incline. And even if it WAS on a flat area, you always put the emergency brake on! Anyway, the diagnosis from my usual mechanic was that it DID need front brake pads and front brake rotors. I have an appointment for that, and it should cost around $500. That's compared to the $1,303 that Jolene's had estimated. Today, I went back to the email from Jolene's that had the estimates, and I saw that they'd changed the estimate for the brakes work on there to $557. Yeah, that's a lot more like it. But originally, they'd thought they could swindle me for an extra $750. Also, the suspension shock or strut for $1,905 was now changed to $658. And my regular mechanic said, "They're older shocks, but you don't need to replace them." There's something a bit shady about this place. They'll try to get you for all that they can. I won't be back.

My car’s AC broke on my road trip to Portland, and Jolene’s was able to replace the whole thing by the time I left! They were very kind and efficient and did not try to sneak in any extra charges. I really appreciate their hard work!

Realized last night that my alternator was probably going out - I took it to Jolene’s as soon as they opened this morning and they had it fixed by 11am! They also did a free comprehensive check of my car and the work they did is under a 5 year warranty. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely be going back!

UPDATE: They have a membership car-care plan that is well worth ex0loring further, especially if your car is past its free maintenance stage... it's actually kind of a no-brainer! Jolene must love what she does, because they have perfected their process over there. Amply staffed with competent people, they fixed our brakes, identified the source of the "weird clunking sound" I complained about, completed the work when promised and returned our massive 14-passenger Ford Transit Van freshly vacuumed and on time. They aren't a discount shop, but you get what you pay for and they aren't driven to find unnecessary repairs to cover the cost of impossibly cheap specials. We'll be back.

Glad I found these guys! I've been looking for a solid honest mechanic shop since Barrett's on Fremont retired during the lockdown. This place is great. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their work is thorough and reasonably priced. Bonus that they work on older cars, so my '74 Duster has a new place for jobs that are bigger than I care to get into in my garage. I appreciate their communication system which gives you a link to inspection, diagnostic results, and repair costs. Super transparent! These guys are doing it right.. I almost hesitate to leave a good review because I worry they'll get too popular and booked out, but also want them to stay around. Cheers!

Traveling through Portland with a fritzy car, I couldn't find any highly reviewed mechanic to squeeze me in; all were booked for 2 weeks, etc. Then I stumbled on Jolene's, and received the best service (and friendliest) I've had in a long time. They even called me back later with more info and tips. You lucky Portlanders!

This shop was super friendly and easy to work with from the very beginning. I felt that I got honest diagnoses and was not upsold for things I didn’t need. They gave frequent updates and had answers for all my questions and went above and beyond to find me the best deals on the parts I needed. Highly recommend.
