JR and his shop was able to help remove the ignition coil and replace with a new coil pack which was in the rear firewall using a glow plug extractor which offered a 90° angle that saved the day. I went initially to Pep Boys, which was garbage Who recommended me to take to the Acura dealer in downtown CHI who Offered me a $7000 repair bill. Thank you, JR’s shop!

I highly recommend JR Auto. JR rebuilded the engines in my truck and my wife's mini van. He also replaced the transmission in my daughter's suv. He answers all your questions. The thing I like most about this shop is honestly.

It's difficult to find a trustworthy mechanic, especially one in your own neighborhood. I had a problem that was difficult to diagnose: an internal electrical problem. JR and Ramiro went above and beyond to solve the problem. Highly recommend.

Took 8 days for a job that he originally told me would take two. He made lots of excuses for the delay. Paid 1300 for a job he told me would be 800. Then tried to charge me 350 more for problems he caused. After I paid him for the suspension work. I got a mile away and my car was squealing from the side he repaired. I do not recommend this place. I had a very bad experience.

Came here when my car broke down to get a diagnostic he was able to tell me what was wrong with it which was a good thing but I don’t think I’ll be going back because i brought another car also that I had just purchased due to my other car breaking down trying to see what the issue was with that car and he was very rude impatient and talked like he was ready for me to go and when I asked him to explain the codes he really didn’t explain it well also I’m not a mechanic so how would I know? If you don’t break it down and explain it to me I wanted to address his attitude while I was there but I didn’t because I know how I am and I know how smart my mouth is so I just kept it respectful and stayed calm and left but yea I came here because of the reviews and how good they where but every body has a different experience and he just came off as nasty and rude to me.. so yea I wouldn’t go back. And I doubt he would have talked to me like that if I had a man with me that’s why sometimes it best to bring men with you to these places when your a women.

Horrible service, kept my car guessing work .charged me well after giving me a price for what they thought was wrong a week later different solution and more money. Gave my car back with different issue and refused to do anything about it.ive deleted them as a neighborhood mechanic and would definitely not recommend...

I needed my brakes and shocks replaced, but I had my own parts. I called ahead and immediately got an extremely good quote on the work and a time when I could drop it off that same day. I dropped it off, JR was helpful and made sure he answered all of my questions. He got the work done quickly and accurately the same day. Best mechanic ever, no brainer, take your car to him, he will do the work right and take time to educate you on any questions you have.

I got my transmission replaced here on my 09 Mazda 6 JR explained everything to me clearly about what needed to be done, why my transmission failed and what work he did on my car. He fixed it really quickly, was super professional, and gave me a competitive price. Thanks JR!

I couldn't give it Zero Stars. I was supposed to had my Body Control Module Repaired. Took my truck back twice! Truck us still not working right! And the Chevy Dealer was about $220.00 cheaper than JR. was! I'll never patronize this business Ever Again!

This place is a rip off "RIP OFF!" JR sells junk cars and trucks that he doesn't rebuild right, if I sue this guy I would but it's not worth the cost and the headache. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY....

I took my car here after it started making strange (really loud) noises. This place was close by, and although it seemed an odd spot for an auto place, the guys that worked there were great. They got my car right up on the racks, switched out the broken part, and I was all set to go in an hour or so.
